Doctor sent me home with scripts for dicyclomine, reglan and nexium and said I could have gastritis, an ulcer or a low-functioning gallbladder. Since I've come home, my indigestion symptoms have worsened. I didn't find any of the drugs to be particularly helpful.

Avatar f tn No one disagrees that you can lose on a 500 cal diet with ow without HCG, but you have to look at the whole picture. How do you feel on the diet? Can you stick with the diet? Can you maintain your weight afterwards? 3 months ago, before I heard about HCG I attempted a 500 Calorie diet to reduce the affects of RA(Rhuematoid Arthritis). Actually I wanted to FAST because having been under a 14 day medically supervised fast (water only) 3 years ago, I knew what miraculous results I got.
Avatar m tn Hi there, In NASH there is fat in the liver, along with inflammation and damage. Only if this disease advances a person can develop cirrhosis .Vomiting and acid formation can be due to reflux disease or peptic ulcer disease. Since she is suffering from diabetes and hypertension she should be examined by a physician. Get her blood pressure and blood sugars checked. Take a light diet and avoid fried fatty foods. Drink plenty of water and liquids. Best luck and regards!
Avatar n tn I followed up with the Nurse Practitioner and she thinks the stomach pain is gastritis and gave me Nexium. I'm starting to wonder if it's an ulcer and not gastritis. Blood work has been normal. Liver functions normal except for bilirubin which is from Gilbert's Syndrome so I know that rules out anything with the liver or pancreas issues. Vitamin D was low. LDL was slightly elevated- nothing the doctor is worried about since I had a clear heart cath.

Avatar n tn The simplest area to focus on is your diet. Were you given a post gallbladder diet to follow FOR LIFE? Eat fresh fruits and vegitables, whole grains, brown rice, bran cereal, lean meat, poultry and fish and low fat dairy products. AVOID processed foods, sausage, cheese, high fat food like pizza and fast food chains of all kinds. Eat ORGANIC when possible. Have you been checked for hyatal hernia? Does the pain go away after you eat? This sounds like a bile productions issue to me.
Avatar n tn I rushed my diabetic husband to the ER last Saturday. He is a heavy alcohol drinker. It started Wed., vomited really bad until the next day with diarrhea (was on antibiotics for ear infection). Next 3 days, Thurs, Fri, Sat still very sick vomiting with severe stomach pain. Avatar f tn He also thinks the surgery won't fix his toes or relieve his pain thinking it's neuropathy which after much study and the previous Dr.s opinion we know it isn't. My husband is diabetic however it's well controlled with oral meds and diet. His most recent AIC was 6.3. My question is with how I've described his toes how long must this drag on before he will possibly lose his toes? Also he had an ABI on 3/2/09 which showed right was 0.

Avatar m tn Female, 22, I'll be the first to admit I probably don't eat the healthiest diet. Being a grad student, it's hard to stay on schedule and eat regular meals, but I'm definitely eating. Anyway, this morning, I woke up at the normal 5:45 seemingly okay. I immediately got in the shower, and still seemed okay. All of a sudden, out of nowhere, I got the worst hunger pains I've ever felt in my life. Within about 30 seconds, the hunger was accompanied by nausea and dry heaves.
Avatar f tn This all started when I got a duodenal ulcer several months ago and would wake up during the night with severe "hunger" pains. I'm on medication, Prevacid, and already finished my course of two antbiotics. I still suffer with stomach pain, though it is getting better. Anways, when I was suffering the severe hunger pains I convinced myself that I had hypoglycemia, since I've always seemed to be a little bit that way.
