Avatar f tn They said it should be healed by then. She is not a diabetic, but has poor circulation in her legs, so she is wearing TED hose.
Avatar n tn (THE CUT WAS THE SIZE OF A NICKEL) BUT DIDNT SO A MONTH PASSED BY AND IT JUST GOT WORSE SO I WENT TO THE WOUND CARE CENTER THEY TOOK SOME TESTS TOLD ME THAT IT WAS A INFECTED ULCER GAVE ME ANTIBIOTICS AND TOLD ME TO STAY OFF MY FEET.THEY ALSO FOUND OUT I HAVE NEUROPATHY, SO THEY TESTED ME FOR DIABETES. 233488 tn?1310696703 There is a way of using Restasis in non-preserved vials that can dramatically reduce the cost. This method does not work with the multi-drop Restasis bottle introduced the past year. We always ask for the non-preserved vials. Xiidra is relatively new. They are advertising heavily now using Jennifer Aniston as spokesperson. It is not better than Restasis and in the testing phase in some areas was not as good as Restasis.
Avatar n tn Thank you for your email. The possibilities we can consider include gastritis, gastric ulcer, duodenal ulcer and/or pancreatitis or pancreatic disease. Stress is a major contributing factor in most of these diseases and may aggravate the situation. It would be difficult to commit to a diagnosis at this point without further work-ups and tests. Consult a gastroenterologist for an examination, further tests and proper treatment.
Avatar n tn very/extremly rich who are very generous too with doctors to the very poor ones) I felt that doctors hands are tied from being able to provide the best available test to every body, though some time the system/health budgets will lose much more by either reordering the the less accurate test, seeing the patients on more visits, the psycological effect and cost on the patient..ext its a bad circle ...I'm not sure I will be violating the rules here by going on this subject?
Avatar m tn I lost both my eyes in a childhood accident which makes it difficult to see. I've tried different kinds of eyeglasses including a pair that cost thousands of dollars and they have not helped. I was wondering if I could get an eye transplant. Is it expensive? I have no insurance. I have trouble driving without my eyes and hope I do not get caught. Please help.
Avatar n tn country=USA if you decide you would like to order my ID # is 20635296 and if you set up an autoship. you could receive your first bottle for only the cost of shipping. Plus it also helps keep your immune system working good. My husband used to be sick 3/4 of the year he started taking it and now does not catch anything.
Avatar f tn 110ish when I am. I consider the elimination of the scrips alone to be worth the cost of the HCG program. My new doctor is tickled at my blood work. (The scrip happy doc dropped me just because I started the HCG program. Blatant big-Pharm shill!) Everyone has different results. But what I can say from my experience is to ignore the naysayers that are bashing HCG to lose weight. I have had completely spectacular results.
Avatar n tn Aside from this, I have no scrip coverage right now and the Nexium was going to be nearly $180 for one month. Now, I wouldn't mind paying this cost for something I felt was going to help me, but if it is the same as prilosec, I do not want to purchase this scrip and then have same problems. If anyone has any experience with prilosec backfiring on them or anything similar, I too would appreciate having them post, also. It is very frustrating to have more problems than I started out with.
172715 tn?1285498090 Also it is good for diabetic nerve pain-I don't think that I have nerve pain.I have muscle, joint and low back pain. So bad that 3 vicodin every 4 hours doesn't do anything for me. It does take the edge off for an hour or so. I'll appreciate your comments. This site has been sleeping for over a week. Is everyone having a fibro-flare?
Avatar n tn I predicted that in a few years it will be, as the obvious benefits of lap band become evident, in terms of cost, safety, rapidity of recovery, etc. Nor, when I said those things, did I expect a personal attack and string of insults.
Avatar n tn I was so fascinated by the number of people who suffer with gastroparesis. I have diabetic gastroparesis. I have been diabetic for 34 years and developed this disorder 6 years ago. I had surgery on my hands and developed a complication called neuropathy. There are a couple of kinds. One is where you can't feel anything, like in your feet(that is why there are so many foot and leg amputations.) Some diabetics can't feel if they have a soar.
Avatar n tn I had all the usual tests, endoscopy, ultrasound, CT scan and a heap of blood tests, all came back normal except for a small hiatus hernia - no gastritis, ulcer etc. My PCP did give me proton pump inhibitors as he thought it might have been an ulcer, but they didn't do anything. He just kept saying to keep taking them cos 'every little bit helps'. Finally he did send me to a gastro who ordered a new lot of blood tests and stool tests.
Avatar f tn Hamlet is back under anaesthesia today - he has developed an ulcer - may be a resorbtive root that became infected after the dental. Have discovered a lump on his tummy which they suspect may be a rare mammary gland cancer - I will know when he comes out from his teeth whether it is a cyst or this horrible alternative. I am shaking with fear.
Avatar n tn *Stomach ulcer (peptic ulcer) *Gastritis (inflammation of the stomach lining) Action to Take: Take an antacid or acetaminophen if necessary, but avoid aspirin, ibuprofen, and other nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs. Don't drink alcohol or smoke. If pain persists or quickly comes back, see your doctor.
Avatar f tn He is also a Type II diabetic, food controlled. The abscess was starting to heal up, but earlier this week he started feeling ill. Both myself and my son have had heavy colds recently and he thought he was coming down with the cold too. On Thursday we was really ill, said he felt "wobbly" and he was a bad colour. I took him to hospital (not impressed with his general practitioner doctor - we are in the UK by the way) as I thought he might have the start of sepsis.
Avatar m tn A number of markers associated with diabetic wellness and liver health also showed signs of improvement (plasma enzymes ALT, AST & GGT). http://www.healthyfellow.
Avatar n tn other causes could be: certain yeasts reacting with sugars giving diabetic like symptoms and headaches. another cause could be cabon monoxide poisoning from propane/ stove causing headache, vertigo, and diziness. God bless you!
Avatar f tn Pan retinal photocoagulation is usually done for diabetic proliferative retinopathy that has nothing to do with high myopia. Myopic macular degeneration of the "wet" kind is generally treated with Avastin or Lucentis that is injected into the eye or the cold visudyne light therapy. In any case you should be under the care of a retina Eye MD. If you are not comfortable get a second opinion.
Avatar n tn My husband says he sometimes feels a small knot (feels like the roly ball on my blackberry) but I have been to 2 different Dr's and one gave me some long name (basic says its inflammation form arthritis) gave me a cortisone shot and said i should be fine.. he was wrong.. the 2nd one told me it was an ulcer, put me on meds and sent me home.. Neither worked and I'm tired of being in pain and spending $$ i don't have on Dr's that aren't helping. Any suggestions.?
530191 tn?1214166411 I have tried to stop taking the injections due to the cost, but within 2-3 days of not taking it, the hives return in full force. I hate to see anyone suffer like I do, but it is good to know that I'm not alone. This seems like a great support group and I'm so glad I found this site.
Avatar m tn I didnt go to er instead i went to see my gp. He told me that it could be due to stomach ulcer and prescribed some medications to me. After i took the medicine, i felt slightly better the next day. But at night, the pains developed again. This time, i was short of breath and fainted. Went to er. Checked my pulse, sugar level, breathing. Everything was fine. Doc said there's nothing to be worry. He said it could be due to the indigestion problem. So, now im medication for 10 days.
Avatar n tn It lasted about 6 months, the first month I told noone then spoke to my mom about it, we went to my doctor he did a pregnancy test, but I assured him I was not because I am a virgin which was true, they gave me many blood tests an ultrasound, xrays, urine tests and nothing would show, finally my doctor gave me pills for a person with an ulcer, which he ruled out, but it worked after about a month I started to get back to normal. I am also on birth contorl pills to regulate my period.
Avatar n tn , acid, gas, bloat, ibs, possible ulcer and inflamation etc. and its usually when I don't watch and am very bad with my diet (go off the wagon) when I get this and its usually seperated by 6 months or more. But thats me. If you try any of the stuff I have done then I would love to know if any of it helps you but I am no doctor and am not prescribing anything, making any claims and taking no responsibility for any result. Good luck!
Avatar n tn Went to the doctor and he seemed concerned since it was tender to the touch... Had a CT scan done (which cost me $948.00) and nothing! Just part of the xiphoid process like all those that have already posted here! He said that mine was the largest one he has ever seen and thinks it is inflamed due to the way I sit in my chair at the computer all day. So don't fret if you have this too... completely normal.
Avatar n tn water ****** (just be sure if you are trying this that it is just vinegar and water, maybe boric acid....Summer's Eve seemed to be a good brand and only cost a couple bucks at WalMart for 4 of them. I have read differing suggestions on how often to ******...they mainly seem to range from max of every 4 days to max of once a week. I'm hoping that once does the trick, lol. After the ****** I tried the RepHresh Vaginal Gel....got that at WalMart too.
