Avatar m tn D) If your lipid panel, magnesium level, CRP, and peripheral doppler testing were fine and your did any of the doctors suggest trying compression socks/hosiery? E) How long did you try acupuncture for? I know I had a tingling place in my leg when the needle was put in to a certain acupuncture point in my left leg. It took a really long time of treatments for that tingling to go away (while treatments continued, I think it's back now).
144586 tn?1284669764 The chances are, if that hospital is not nearby an ambulance may not take your loved one there. Make sure the house number is displayed and if in apartment building there is a number on the door. In an complicated apartment complex it helps to have someone meet them downstairs, if an extra person is available. Call 911. If there is no ambulance in ten minutes call back. In certain areas you can by-pass 911 and save time by calling the fire dispatcher directly if you know the number.
Avatar f tn My face feel weird, and the worst has to be the pain, pins, numbness on my feet and hands, and the feeling of wearing very tight socks when i'm barefooted. Once i asked my BF because i couldn't move to take the blankie off my feet please, because i couldn't feel them. He said "honey, there's nothing covering your feet". I cry, i'm tired of going to doctor to doctor, tired of the eye exam, the "stand on your heels" just to push me back.
Avatar n tn hey i did the same as you and found out that by changing my socks most of that problem went away .. this is by throughing out any and all socks that have less than 50 percent wool content .. cause those dam nylon or polyester or what not artificial materials aren't good for handling persperation and well feet have to breath ..
Avatar f tn On the Social side: If you have a medical question, comment or research study pertaining to Hepatitis, please post it in our Hepatitis Forum On the Hepatitis C side: If you would like to communicate with other people who have been touched by Hepatitis, please visit our new Hepatitis Social/Living with Hepatitis forum. In light of that, I'd have to say that my post is a "comment" AND a "study" pertaining to prevention of Hepatitis C ..
Avatar n tn I am wearing thick socks, good hand gloves whenevery goig out and sockd in the house all the time, but both of the hands and feet are very cold. I don't understand the reason of this. I talked to my good friend, who is a professional pharmacist with 20 years of experience about this. He suggested me to use turmeric powder, mixed with ginger powder and black paper powder in the few drops of olive oil and rub it there. I need some good advice about this problem.
Avatar n tn Chronic paresthesia indicates a problem with the functioning of neurons. Are you a diabetic or do you take alcohol?Parasthesias are common in alcoholics and metabolic disorders like diabetes, hypothyroidism, and hypoparathyroidismThey can also be due to peripheral vascular disease, vitamin B12 deficiency or malnutrition. Get your blood sugar and thyroid hormones levels evaluated. You can take some vit B12 for some days and see if the tingling is gone or not.
Avatar f tn For 30 years, I've reported to every doctor, that I get severe cold chills. The doctors will do routine screens, a complete blood count, TSH and chem profile. Because the blood test come back normal, they don't look any further. I am seeing an endocrinologist, with over 30 years experience, and she is also doing the same thing. She believes it is because I am in menopause.
Avatar n tn It sweats because colored socks are polyester or have plenty in them. All cotton colored socks fade and get pilly. And white socks are mostly cotton or at least 80% cotton, and absorb what little sweat 2-20% polyester makes one sweat. Or do your feet sweat or itch a lot from the shoes? These are reactions that come and go. But one thing is for sure folks. Plastic allergy is very real. Although mild for most compared to other synthetics, or higher quality plastics.
Avatar n tn I have no plants inside my office or house. There are trees outside, and I have ivy growing on my house. But it just feels like they are constantly around me personally. Thank you for replying Paul.
Avatar f tn is when i work out or run on treadmill i wear 3 pairs of socks..it reduces the shock... you will still feel the sensation but it wont be unbearable..try it...see if it work for u...
387660 tn?1242600342 This falling asleep at the wheel can happen at any time of the day. Is there a medical reason for this? I also have severe neck degeneration. Could sometime be cutting off oxygen to my brain when I'm in this position? I don't fall asleep at other times. Just while I am driving.
Avatar n tn Exactly the same symptoms here - I have Diabetes so the first thought was that my blood sugar was out of control so that I might be getting what is known as Diabetic Neuropathy, but after testing my A1c (glucose counts) it was found that was not the case. Since then, every time I mention it to my doctor I get the same response, take some Motrin, it will go away, etc.
Avatar n tn Though to be honest, I am losing faith daily in medical professionals because of this and your stories. It seems like if it's not a generic condition that they have experienced before, most doctors and specialists just attribute it to a generic cause like 'oh its probably insect bites'. However my hope is there are still good doctors out there that are genuinely interested in finding the answers to mysteries like this and want to help people.
Avatar n tn I cannot stand the lights even in my house. I have to squint and then even cover my eyes. I become emotional -- overly ovely emotional. I become paranoid and scared and start to panic because I see shadows out of the corners of my eyes. Then I try to go to work and I can't correctly hear or understand what people are saying to me. I feel like I'm watching a movie or it is a dream. I start to wonder if I'm losing my mind.
Avatar n tn , but for the past 4 years it has gotten worst to the point where I dont leave my house anymore. I've been getting extreme fatigue to the point where I cant even move, mood swings, waking up literally shaking to death and feeling so out of it and my pulse starts to rise to like 160. I get nightmares everynight and I have insomia, I dont end up falling asleep until like 7am because everytime I try to sleep my heart starts beating and I get weird feelings and numbness.
Avatar n tn Yes, Francy, I like the "revenge"! ha ha I actually slept not too bad last night. I took liquid calcium/magnesium at dinner time as recommended, had a warm bath and I applied this lavender, rosemary, cinnamon, arnica, eucalyptus cream called "dream cream" all over and that included my sinuses; which drained like crazy (I didn't even know they were clogged either!). It was the best night in five weeks.
Avatar n tn I'm just doing this until i can buy a brace within a day or two at a medical supply store. I believe my pain has to do a lot from having bad posture. I've tried a lot of stuff too and one thing that did help was when the Physical Therapist taped my shoulder towards my spine, like athletes do. This isn't a long term remedy but it is something that could help to ease pain if you have a special event to attend and don't want to be medicated.
Avatar n tn This is the first Web site I've found where there are people with the same symptoms that I have. I am a 32 year old male who lives in Seattle, WA. I have Thalassemia minor and suffer mainly from ongoing fatigue. I am ALWAYS tired, no matter how well I eat or what vitamins I take. Doctors tell me that I'm fine and "just need to avoid Iron and do some aerobic exercise." I would exercise if I had the energy to. It's comforting to see postings from people all over the world.
Avatar m tn Here are a list of some things that have happened to me - pressure like air bubble in my head, burning pains, numbness, popping noise in head and neck, cant keep still, feeling as though im in a dream all the time, trembling, heart palpatations, dont feel like i want to do anything, cant leave the house alone, feeling like im about to die any second all the time!! chest pains, confusion, tinitus, fear of going mad.............. Anybody else have these really weird feelings in their head?
Avatar n tn Since I work in medical, I will ask about it. Per web search, suspect conditions are high blood pressure and liver dysfunction... as far as I know, neither of these are the case. I am 60 and take no meds.
211940 tn?1267884866 I have been looking everywhere for an answer, maybe someone here can. About 1 year ago I began having pain in my right upper arm, between the shoulder and elbow, about mid arm where the biceps brachii muscle or brachialis muscle is. I went to my Primary Physician who said it was a torn brachialis muscle. Since I was working at a 2nd job, I thought it might be job related so I went through the whole Workman's Comp issue.
Avatar n tn it has an excellent medical/science program; I'll be heading to Medical School at the University of Michigan. I'm an outstanding student, and I've found an extremely knowledgeble site about Somatoform Disorders (the chronic random pain issues) I'm going to post a link it's a bit lengthy, but extremely helpful. I hope that this can help you all!!
Avatar n tn Tell you more she was cooking dinner sometimes for me and was very independent( but inside the house only). For her go outside was a challenge. Now after second stroke she is no well at all. She paralized on herother side, She has nuerogetic bladder, incontinent bowel, etc. She is bed bound with very bad bed sore from the hospital. Now I am not that confident she will recover to the point she was before. So, your mother is very young and she will be fine, God bless her.
Avatar n tn maybe the 90 day BC pill keeps that area of the body from having it's typical blood supply. maybe that part of the body is indirectly affected somehow during a normal cycle. i'm not a doc so i don't know. but no one else seems to have an answer. anyway, baby power helps for me.
251922 tn?1193786078 Well it looks like we are still running the same course together, so THATS at least encouraging! Maybe its a quiet phase before the upswing of things!!
