Avatar f tn I went food shopping and, following Dr simeon's protocol, went looking for nuts without any hint of sugar (even naturally found in them), peanut butter, and yogurt, but I did not find any. I found those items with very low counts (peanut butter 2g, low fat plain yogurt 7 g of sugar), but found nothing absolutely sugar free. Even the organic peanuts had a gram of sugar in them. I am wondering is this ok to eat? Besides this, I am a bit apprehensive about going into phase 3.

Avatar n tn Again, eat slowly and you will fill full. Cheap is harder to do. Try nuts, peanut butter, almond butter, whole fruit (eaten with meals or with whole grain bread and cheese), Quaker Breakfast Cookies (Oatmeal w/choclate chips or raisins in the breakfast aisle), Quaker Simply Harvest Instant Multigrain Hot Cereal (several flavors, I love the vanilla, almond and honey). Enterex Glucose Control nutrition drinks are more costly, but are good and have decent numbers on the label.

Avatar f tn for hamburger), Morningstar vegetarian sausage, peanut butter, fat free cottage cheese, and low fat cheese for my proteins. I can tolerate very well cooked vegetables that are peeled - like carrots, green beans, potatoes. Mashed avocado is good on sandwiches and is a good fat. Absolutely no tomatoes, corn, peas, or raw veggies. Same for fruit - canned or well cooked and peeled.

Avatar n tn My clinic explained it in detail in my handbook, and told me where I could buy the food items so that I could at least have jam, and dressings, mayo and peanut butter. These foods are ok, especially the dressings. I have a recipe for chicken salad and one for a smoothie I am making today. Doing it with a clinic IS more expensive but they also have suggestions to help you stay on it.
604197 tn?1292308636 I started to taste that smell too in some foods. I use to love chocolate and peanut butter. They are now my two worst foods to eat. All I can say is I know I can live just fine this way for the rest of my life if I have to. I sure am going to miss the smell of everything!! I even miss the smell of my children and my husband. I never thought I would be saying that. I help myself get through this by enjoying the fact that I can still see and hear them.
