Also I would be sweating profusely at night and when I checked my readings they were in the 70s and 60s. I always sweat a lot at night and have done so for the past 2-3 years.
92903 tn?1309908311 Regarding glucose, buy a blood sugar meter and test yourself one hour after meals and again two hours after meals for several days to see how high you go. This will tell you far more than a fasting blood sugar test, which only indicates problems when you're pretty diabetic. Basically, you should not go over 140 at one hour, 120 at two. Eliminating refined sugar won't do the job. First of all, white bread, believe it or not, is way worse than any sugar.

The research team concluded that increased IR, regardless of the presence of diabetes, is significantly associated with HCC development in patients with chronic HCV infection.
Avatar n tn I have about 5% body fat. My mom is diabetic (type II) and her parents were diabetic (needed insulin shots, so type I?) My half-sister has Grave's Disease. I've been to the emergency room a few times because of headaches, but my blood sugar is always "normal". MRI's have shown nothing abnormal. I yawn incessantly after eating - especially during the afternoon. I can yawn 20+ times a minute for over an hour depending on how much I eat.
Avatar n tn I am eating very small meals nowadays. I never was a big eater, but am eating in smaller amounts than ever today. I wish everyone well.

125112 tn?1217277462 Make sure that you are eating at least 5 small meals a day (you can find great diabetic diets on the Internet and South Beach follows it pretty closely). The sad thing is, no matter how many doctors we may - or may not - have available, sometimes we have to diagnose ourselves. :-( The glucose monitor is a simple and effective way to see if you have a sugar problem without jeopardizing your health (just your finger tips get sore!).

Avatar f tn New computer software that is delaying my office notes from moving forward in a timely fashion. Ughhhh. My neighbor had an excoworker that had surgery by this NS so I stopped by her house today and asked that she ask the person to contact me with her situation (opinion, treatment, recovery, etc.). Although I know everyone is different, it is nice to get feedback on a specific doctor. She has two friends that had it done.

Avatar m tn Hi folks, I was driving home tonight on a 2.5 hour stretch and suddenly felt a "disequilibrium." I have had similar symptoms for years but it was intermittent so it is hard to trace. At first I thought it might have been some food I ate. Then I thought maybe it was the air conditioner. So I pulled over on the next exit and parked for 15 minutes and tried to breath deeply. As I drove home, it occurred to me that I was experiencing a LOSS OF DEPTH PERCEPTION (esp.

Avatar n tn Moerover, Q10 has shown anti-inflammatory effects on some markers which are the same involved in the brain processus described in the last papers I sent you. Q10 is not water soluble and must be taken as emulsion or must be taken during meals (fats from food helps to improve its bioavailability, there are some studies on it). The effective amount is around 100 mg a day, but must be taken during a long period (several months). So, we will try Q10 as soon as I got a few of it.
