1135133 tn?1260503795 I am a diabetic who has been diabetoc for almost 17 years! When I was 19 I lost my health insurance so therefore I had to come off of my insulin pump because the supplies are so expensive. I also had to stop seeing my endocronologist because of this reason. I was recently diagnosed with Panic with anxiety, ADHD, and major depressive disorder and they said it is linked alot to my diabetes. I cannot control my diabetes as much as I try.
Avatar n tn I have read that after meals, glucose levels can go up to about 146 before a person is considered in the diabetic range. So your glucose readings thus far sound like they would be considered in the normal range of values except for the on at 61. As a diabetic, I know that I can actually start to feel bad when glucose is in the lower 70's even though 70 is considered the lowest level of normal.

Avatar f tn I think you should watch your carbs and try and get those numbers lower, it will only be better for you....no matter which list of "numbers" you look at as normal for a diabetic....you should strive for lower....however if they are within the numbers listed(which most doctors I know use for diabetics) then don't stress over it. Do your best. Exercise and watch those carbs. Learn to read labels. Good luck!
Avatar f tn Since you are not a diabetic and do not have to worry about insulin control, suggest that you stay with one list that you feel comfortable with and use only that one.

The best way to control blood sugar is through weight loss, exercise and carb reduction. You also want to get a meter and test your blood sugar.
Avatar n tn Include dried beans (like kidney or pinto beans) and lentils into your meals. Include fish in your meals 2-3 times a week. Choose lean meats like cuts of beef and pork that end in "loin" such as pork loin and sirloin. Remove the skin from chicken and turkey. Choose non-fat dairy such as skim milk, non-fat yogurt and non-fat cheese. Choose water and calorie-free "diet" drinks instead of regular soda, fruit punch, sweet tea and other sugar-sweetened drinks.
Avatar n tn I have noticed higher incidents of irregular beats and/or PVCs and PACs from blood sugar spikes after meals.. ...as a result I eat a low glycemic diet that raises the blood sugar more slowly.........its good for you anyway and keep energy level more consistent. Lots of simple sugars in snacks and junk food is a no no for heart beat....... ......and also things like fruit juices are worse that sugared soft drinks...... refined flour and gains are bad......
748902 tn?1286038358 I found this that should help. Natural complex carbohydrates food list Complex carbs (carbohydrate) foods are basically those in wholegrain form such as wholegrain breads, oats, muesli and brown rice. Complex carbs are broken down into glucose more slowly than simple carbohydrates and thus provide a gradual steady stream of energy throughout the day. Natural carbs are also a better choice when losing weight on the G.I diet plan.
Avatar f tn If you are waking up at night and gasping for air or snoring, a CPAP machine could help you get a great night of sleep and eliminate your PVC's. #5. EAT FREQUENT SMALL MEALS- I find that if I eat a large meal, there is a 95% possiblity that I will have some PVC epidodes. Try small, very low carb meals throughout the day.
733939 tn?1231776955 Hi I just got diagnosed type 2 diabetic this past weekend. i was started on glucophage immediately and given menus and diets to follow. even though i have these menus i am so afraid of eating now....i managed to get through the weekend pretty good and my numbers have come down...they were 330 and over the weekend i ranged from 275 to 307. Avatar f tn You should really try to get back on track and talk to your dr about it...I have been a diabetic for years and I still struggle sometimes. My sister when she had her baby is diabetic as well and didn't take care of her self...baby was over a month early and was big over 8 pounds...my sister had a lot of trouble delivering her and because she was so early she had lung trouble and spent a month in nic u.

Avatar m tn But before the list, she needs help. Get her to a doctor now. Find someone who, after seeing you have this list, will know you are making an effort. 1. Set up a crowdfunding page. YouCaring.com has a specific area for raising funds of animals, and, better yet, YouCaring does not charge for their site; others do. If you use some other site, don't worry; you don't have to pay them; they just take a cut of what your donors give. 2.
Avatar m tn in the first 2 wks i lost 20 lbs, had no appetite, liquid bowel movements, dizziness, fatique, discoloring of the skin, and more symptoms i can even list. incuding the constant pain i had to learn to deal with as a normal day thing. ive seen countless doctors wth all say the same thing and ive been hospitalized so many times they know me by name, and to every hospital within my distance of living.
Avatar n tn It is better to eat smaller portions spread out throughout the day, rather than eat 3 large meals. Eat healthy snacks in between your main meals. Healthy snacks are: vegetables, nuts, fruit, egg, (if you eat bananas only eat a small one). Having a healthy diet will not only help with your sugar control, but will also help you to lose weight and also may help with regard to any inflammation that you have with your arthritis.
Avatar f tn It's not too likely with the numbers you list, unless you are, in fact spiking higher after your meals. It might be worth it to start checking 2 hours after some of your meals. It also helps to see how certain foods affect your blood sugar (you want to be under 140 at the 2 hour mark). If you continue to have the problem I would see your doctor because there could be another cause.

1975145 tn?1419913236 Can any one list some foods that will help keep diabetes away ? I have been told I am pre diabetic and my numbers seems to keep climbing. I do not think the food I eat now is that bad and I don't eat much at all really and usually only 2 times a day. I will eat anything but fish. Please if you would be so kind as to list some foods to and not to eat would be most appreciated.
Avatar n tn But the high levels sound dangerous, depending on how often you have high levels, in other words, levels above 120 before meals or above about 150 after meals. If this is happening often, then your body could be getting damaged in very serious ways. You are doing a smart thing in testing -- that may be helpful as you try to maintain your glucose levels. If high, then avoid eating more carbohyrdates until those levels drop. If low, then eat some quick carbs.
