Avatar n tn Not to whine, but it's pretty easy to pop opiods to relieve the pressure. Living in Oregon, there's not a lot to do during the winter months. As an avid gardener, I'm stuck waiting for the sun to start shining again so I can spruce up my front and back yards. I've been thinking about what escalated my latest adventure into prescription pain pill abuse. Last year I had a nasty skin abscess (MRSA) and I was hospitalized.
Avatar m tn First time I was treated with during Winter 2007 tripletail, seroquol, effexor for 9 months. I came off medication and I felt so drained that I could not do anything over Summer of 2008. After being off medication for 4 months my illness came back in Fall 2008 and I received inection of cojectin, copixol, and ativan, and then physiatrist prescribed celexa and seroquol, and then switched from seroquol to olonzapine because serouqol was not working well.
Avatar m tn -) seriously this is the time of year the mice are looking for a nice warm place with food. before winter comes. they are not hard to eradicate if you catch it in time, kinda of like a virus, lol.
219373 tn?1274925034 * It's 4pm on a somewhat sunny afternoon in England (not winter) I have on two pairs of socks at the moment and contemplating running the bath with boiling hot water to give my feet a good soaking or much preferably; burn them red for punishing me so (I wish).
572651 tn?1531002957 I never had any problems with depression or anxiety until this winter. I think it was just so cold, damp, grey, and misserable this year that I got depressed. Since spring has sprung I don't feel I need any anti-depressant any more. All that it seems to do is make me a little bit groggy the next day.
590279 tn?1286339622 dizzystudent - Other than Jan-late March 2008, I have not had a winter period (or any real period) of a break from this. I wish mine was as spurattic(sp?) and not often as yours seems to be :( i have tried everything.. but haven't given up hope yet.. but it's hard somedays.. especially to put on a fake face to people and act like everything it a-ok but you feel like you are in a fog and hard to concentrate on anything. texasbluebonnett1391 - What is mitral valve prolapse?
Avatar n tn My hushand has been a diabetic for approximately 30 years. Recently he has suffered 3 bouts of congestive heart failure in one year. His ejection factor is 28%. What is his life expectancy? He is on many medications and uses oxygen daily. In the days 2 units and at nights he is 3- 4 units. Vi.
Avatar n tn For me this had a good result at the time. In 2008 I came down with a major kidney infection and pneumonia. While I was in hospital I noticed that I had a fistula between my prostate and rectum. Currently I have had a urethral catheter for a year and now a suprapubic catheter for almost 2 years now. As a result of that and not being as mobile as I used to be, I have developed some body fat in the pubic area. On top of that I have not been able to function sexualy since March of 2008.
Avatar f tn I know this discussion is old, but how did everyone make out? It is March 2008 that I am writing this in reply to the strand about Fifth's from 2002. I have had Fifth Disease since January. I too, went through much false diagnosis. I was taking Ibuprofren and even Tylenol 3s for pain with no effect. I couldn't walk, sit, sleep, work. There is a blood test that can test for Parvovirus B19, which came back positive.
Avatar n tn for two years, and from the beginning, he hasn't lost ANY weight! And his doctor had him taking 1000mg AM, and PM. He is diabetic. I think you changing what you're eating, the amount you eat, and walking more often is the reasons why you loose weight! And also, it is VERY, VERY unhealthy to loose 19LBS in 1 week! If that's what is happening you should eat more Cal's! I've never meet a doctor who would be OK with ANYONE losing that much so fast!
Avatar n tn Along with the injections I was eating very much like a diabetic. Low fat, low carb and minimal sugars. While I was taking the B12 I was losing 15 - 25 lbs a month. I decided to continue eating the same and stop getting B12 injections and my weight loss slowed considerably and my energy levels decreased. I have been told there is no medical reason why B12 helps weight loss but for me it really worked well and I am about to go back on it again.

Avatar n tn I live in Minnesota, so during the winter it's not too bad, unless I go into a store, then I have to immediately shed all layers down to a tshirt, and then still get tingly hot all over. Summer is unbearable, and can barely leave the house. I hate it and it is controlling my life. I have had my thyroid checked several times, and when it comes back normal, my doctor usually gives me some answer like, "it must just be the hot weather..." Gee, thank you, Mr. Wizard!
Avatar m tn It makes every day living difficult to enjoy things and always worrying that this will come on. If anyone had any definite explanation it would be helpful.
Avatar n tn I have been able to see a lot of very tiny fly residue by the ceiling light fixture. I can clean it out and more reappears. This living in an air-conditioned house with windows closed. The other rooms don't get this, just the one I sleep in. The medical community has not diagnosed this problem. My theory is it is a zoonetic (disease that animals get and has occurred in humans) problem and is a smaller verion of the grub fly that cows get.
Avatar m tn I thought it had started last summer because of an old leaky camper I was living in until I found a home to buy. The camper had some mold & mildew on the ceiling & walls. I would wake up from scratching my arm. It starts with a mild itch, then once you scratch just a little it starts a prickly, warm burning feeling that causes me to scratch more, then of course the pricks & burning get worse. I literally end up scratching my arm raw leaving sores.
Avatar f tn My sister was diagnosed with IgG4 in 2011 in Ontario, Canada. She taught Autistic children in Bancroft but retired in 2008 at age 60 due to fatigue, diverticulitis, sinusitis and IBS. Spring 2009 in eastern Canada she got a bug byte on her leg that resulted in a tumor that was surgically removed. Winter 2010 she visited Texas and Arizona. By summer 2010 she was anaemic with a constant cough.
Avatar n tn My grandson was born Aug 8 2008 with gastroschisis. The doctors removed all but one inch of his small intestine and the same amount with his large intestine. They said you can live and function without the large intestine but not the small intestine. He is on a feeding tube and hope he will receive a transplant. So, you should feel lucky.
1310633 tn?1430227691 Danville, Kentucky (CNN) -- Vice President Joe Biden and Republican Paul Ryan, the man who wants his job, exchanged fire over taxes, Medicare, national security and some animated facial expressions in their only debate before Election Day. Here are five things we learned from Thursday night: 1. Biden brought it We expected Ryan, not Biden to bring a three-ring binder full of facts and figures to the debate.
Avatar n tn Hi all, I too have CRP, i've suffered with it for the past 5 yrs & it took a long time before I was diagnosed with it. Im 29, male, 6'1", 12st 10 and in otherwise good health. I currently take oxytetracycline tablets everyday which help & I've tried all the shampoo's (sunsel, nirozl etc), creams and I havent found any of them any good really :( I get CRP on my chest, armpits & on my scalp along the hairline of my forehead.
Avatar n tn It is the weirdest thing! I am going to my doctor next Friday, September 5th, 2008 and I will ask her of this symptom. I'll post the answer to my questions after (and IF) I get them. I asked a massage therapist if she has heard of anyone ever complaining of this symptom and she had never, but she mentioned that it might be a nerve of some kind that is located in the back of the throat and the food entering the esophagus, may trigger the symptoms.
Avatar m tn When I returned from Iraq, I observed my son struggling to breath as he slept. On Nov 9, 2008 I connected him to an Oximeter and the results were very bad. My son is six years old. Sleep APnea, and all signs of congested airway. His Pediatrion and his mother are ignoring my sons sickness. CHildren who do not get proper treatment may have long term heart desease and or lung problems. One of his edsaturation levels was 60% one was 88% for over three minutes.
Avatar n tn I am a 28-year-old female who in April 2008 started experiencing ankle swelling that would come and go. I went to my GP and she told me I was fat and needed to lose weight...so I lost almost 40 pounds. I was doing fine for awhile...until August 2009 crept up and the swelling started staying. And then there wasn't just swelling in my ankles, it continued to the tops of my feet, my legs, my fingers, my neck and my middle. So I went back to the doctor and she sent me to the cardiologist. Healthy.
Avatar n tn The strange weight gain, hair growth, irregular periods, incontinence, and several other smaller issues are all in relation to that. The PCOS didn't start untill Winter of 2007-2008 so we know the muscle problem isn't related. Its good to have some of my symptoms handled though so that I can no focus on just the muscular issues alone. I have stopped seeing my neurologist. He was continuing to try medication after medication with no releif and I was starting to feel like a walking pharmacy.
Avatar n tn I had a flu shot in my left upper arm in early November 07. It hurt quite a bit for 8 to 10 days after instead of the normal day or two, but I didn't pay much attention as I am an ex-athlete and a little pain is no big deal. Ever since the shot both shoulder joints hurt, my upper back joints and all 10 fingers are stiff at night and in the morning. I do not have arthritis and had no joint pain prior to the shot.
Avatar n tn I've been seeing neurologists for a year to determine if I have MS because of other symptoms, plus I have spinal stenosis. Honestly, at least this is just annoying rather than the actual pain I have been living through over the past three years. It has got to be a neurological thing, but it is really freaky!!!
Avatar f tn We cannot constantly be afraid to die, We need to be happy and thankful that we are all alive and as healthy as we are!We are living in the age of anxiety and as the world we live in continues to speed up, so will our brain activity!Don't let it ruin our lives,we are better and smarter than that.So slow down, relax and hopefully you are now reassured that you are just like the rest of us! Take care and be happy!
Avatar m tn It ***** and my anxiety spikes really high in the morning thinking about the day ahead. Trouble is, I drive for a living inspecting houses so I kind of have to! In the winter, I got so bad that my husband had to drive me to do my jobs and take the kids to school, etc. I sucked! The more I didn't drive, the more foreign it became to me and to worse it was. But I am driving now, longer distances and more major roads, but I am still not where I want to be.
