• Eat less sodium [salty foods]
• If available, eat oatmeal for breakfast
• Maintain healthy body weight [watch the waistline]
• Avoid and/or limit alcohol
• If you smoke, stop smoking
• Exercise, exercise, exercise
• Reduce stress
• Eat a diet rich in whole grains, fruits, vegetables and lean meats
Diabetes -
All the above and include no sugary
foods/liquids, no
foods made with white flour [breads, crackers], no simple carbs, and limit complex carbs.
