Yesterday: Hayden had oatmeal and pureed fruit medley; Lunch was cheese tortellini - I let her eat 3 or 4 broken up and then i pureed the rest and mixed with squash, also had spinach puffs; Dinner was pureed roasted chicken mixed with applesauce and a yogurt, plus a stella dora breadstick (she stuff LOADS in her mouth at once!

Healthy breakfast, light snack (like yogurt and fruit), lunch, light snack, dinner, light snack (if you are still hungry). Trust me it is much easier to manage your weirght and keep track of what you eat this way. And you are not talking to a skinny girl here, I struggle to keep my weight in check.

7058746 tn?1393435420 I have to check my sugar before my first meal and then every two hours after breakfast, lunch and dinner. I mainly drink water (all day) and milk (breakfast/lunch only). You can still eat what you like BUT it's definitely about portion control. For example, I can only indulge on 10 peanuts for my fats, lol. You will also learn that your sugar should remain in between or under a specific number reading with every finger prick. I hope this helps a little. Good luck to you, mama!
Avatar f tn Its a basic breakfast with a toast fruit and Coffee or tea (i use semiskimmed milk too) then you have a breakfast and dinner with some kind of Meat and veggies and frut. You can drink water, tea and diet sodas as much as you please. And carrot and celery sticks also. I tend to have a tea or Coffee with milk around 6pm. There are 2 times in the week when you have fruit for Lunch. I tend ti change it to dinner its better for the way the body works.

We were actually late for both breakfast and lunch; but she didn't eat dinner at all!!! She slept right through and she was so tired that she wouldn't wake up. No worries her sugar is staying stable for now.

Avatar n tn D I added apples to my menu for breakfast lunch and snack. The portions are reasonable, or maybe rather little? The calories for breakfast and lunch are never above 300k. Oh man, i knew it. The first time i did diet, i had some troubles, constipation stuff but no bleed level. The doc told me to add more carbs to my meal, she told me cream crackers for snacks and bread. It helped, but I ate two slices of bread for breakfast and lunch.
Avatar n tn a fruit, oatmeal, toast for breakfast. A glass of apple juice, turkey cheese samdwich on whole grain bread, and maybe some chips for lunch. A snack around 3 which is like pb and crackers. For dinner, a veggie with some type of meat. Ive sucessfully breastfed 2 babies so far sticking to well balanced diet. Lots of water is key too. Whole grains are best.

Avatar f tn ve lost eight pounds I saw my doctor for the first time yesterday since having diabetic symptoms and was diagnosed with diabetes. (Surprise! LOL) She said she wanted to start meds slowly, so put me on 500mg metformin and 100mg Januvia and gave me an 1800 calorie diet. And she told me that if my blood sugar should end up over 400 and I was feeling really bad, to go to the emergency room.
Avatar n tn When my daughter was on shots she took NPH (LONG actinG) at breakfast and dinner along with Humalog ( short acting) occasionally short acting at lunch depednding on what her numbers were. She has been on the pump now for several months.

I have lost 7 lbs! see every 15 carbs = 1 net carb. for breakfast you can have 2 to 3 net carbs, lunch 3 to 4 net carbs, and for dinner 4 to 5 net carbs. Of course i ususally only have 3 to 4 for lunch and 3 to 4 for dinner. They have put me on a 1800 calorie diet, but i ususally only eat around 1200, but only because im just not that hungry. Also you are supposed to eat about every 4 hours. so for snack you can have 1 to 2 net carbs.
Avatar n tn 7:30am (breakfast), 9:30 am, noon, 5:30 pm (dinner), 7:30 pm, and 9:30 pm. My concern is the apparent difference in effectiveness of the Humalog which he takes at 7:30 am and 5:30 pm. He measures his blood sugar two hours after taking the Humalog (@ 9:30 am and @ 7:30 pm). Over a seven week period his 9:30 am reading has averaged 214 and his 7:30 reading has averaged 113). His physical activity during the 2 hour periods after taking Humalog are about the same.
