Avatar m tn A few months back someone gave the U-Tube address of a lecture given by an ex-Navy flight surgen who was addicted to drugs, the end result he was sent to prison. After his release he has toured the Country giving lectures about the causes of drug addiction. I have forgotten his name and was wondering if someone could help me. I watched his lecture on U-Tube and was in awe at the way he described why people keep using drugs.
Avatar f tn Type 1. It is not uncommon for person with type 1 diabetes to still produce a small amount of insulin. This alone doesn't change your diagnosis. If you want more information about management, I will recommend you go to utube lecture series by Dr. Berstein "Berstein Diabetes University". He answers many questions.

5536886 tn?1455827346 I follow the teachings of Dr Richard Berstein (Diabetes solutions), also his u-tube lecture series (Bernstein Diabetes University), and the Typeonegrit facebook group. He believes that people with diabetes deserve and need stable and normal level blood sugars. He has proved through his work that this is indeed possible. I and many others with diabetes, have been able to achieve normal blood sugar levels. No complications. And I feel good. I am actually in control.
973741 tn?1342342773 Conventional treatment for T2 diabetes was oral medications, low fat high carb diet. Weight loss and exercise were recommended. The weight normalization and exercise are still recommended. However, the latest approach is to take a much more aggressive approach to diet. NOT low fat, high carb any more, but instead low carb, moderate protein and enough fat for energy. This is the approach endorsed by Dr.

Avatar n tn My grandson is 9 he weighs 100 lbs. He is sedentary, plays computer and video games all the time. I checked his blood sugar, it was 96 in the morning. I am concerned as he CRAVES sweets, is always hungry and when he uriniates it looks like the foam on a head of beer. Do I ask his doctor to investigate or am I being too cautious??
Avatar n tn Hours into the day I start to sleazy and feel feverish. If I watch TV, read or attend a lecture I fall asleep with the first thirty minutes. Cannot focus. I have visited many GPs with no help at all. I feel better for two or so days after taking some home remedies like ginger, lemon, and garlic. Because I am always tired this impedes my exercise routine because I have no energy for it.
Avatar n tn In the morning after breakfast I would walk in my livingroom or do a pregnancy workout dvd. Then in the evenings I would take a walk in the park or I would do a prenatal yoga video. This really helped me keep my numbers down. Whenever I missed a workout day/night my fasting numbers the next morning were really high.
