the most effective diet for controlling diabetes is one that is low carb, moderate protein, and high in healthy fats.
You can look up paleo (their approach is quite diabetes friendly), or mediterannean (though you may want to reduce the bread, past, etc).

Since you didn't provide us any information to work with, you can start by making lifestyle changes. Too many people rely solely on medication to make themselves normal when basic lifestyle changes are ignored. Medication alone will not do the work for you, they are there to 'help' you.
I recently got told I have gestational diabetes, I'm due February 8th but my baby is a normal size. They hospital said they don't let anyone with gestational diabetes go past 39 weeks pregnant but on my birthday I'll turn 39 weeks pregnant is it pointless making plans? And do you get induced? So I've had issues with my eyes since I was about 14 (I'm now 18, 19 in December). Around 3 months ago I had a check up with my optician after 1 year, she prescribed me some new lenses and everything was ok for about a week or so. After that week I started getting blurred vision in my right eye again and pain as if someone is pushing on my eye. I'm deeply worried as my family has a history of glaucoma and diabetes (I believe both can cause the loss of vision?).
