233488 tn?1310696703 Quite some time back a survey was taken of retina surgeons about letting their patients return to full activities after retinal detachment surgery (much more extensive than what your husband had). Almost all retina surgeons allowed full activity after a variable period of time (with the more extensive surgery generally several months).
Avatar f tn He kept my perceiption the same but wanted me to see a retinal specialist because he noticed some laquer cracks and enlightened me with the knowledge of floaters/ flashes and retinal detachment. He insists on telling me not to worry, he just wants me to get checked out because of my high myopia. So, naturally, I FREAK OUT and read stories online about people going blind.

233616 tn?1312790796 If we had to represent the liver’s daily workload by having chemists standing by to achieve in test tubes what the liver does so effortlessly, we would have to fill several hundred Costco warehouses full of chemists, and they would still be hard pressed to do for you what this little organ does!! And how does it know what to do with each atom, each molecule? Why does it prioritize and try to remove toxins (like alcohol etc.) first?
365571 tn?1219601346 There are only a handfull of specialist on gp in this country, thankfully I was able to find one locally. Perhaps also see a Neurologist (I hear they take months to get an apt)? I need answers quick so I can get some kind of relief! What on earth could this possibly be?

551343 tn?1506834118 Hey Maria, B12 1000 mcg daily is far too much as your body can only absorb 10 mcg daily. So even if you were to absorb only 5%, that would mean 50 mcg or 5 times your daily capacity. So 250 mcg daily would make more sense. Again I must stress to take only sublingual Methylo-cobalamin. Weekly shots of Cyano-cobalamin, are not as effective and also are potentially dangerous, as even the minute amount use( deemed safe??? my you know what!!!

Therefore my interest in Relacore or similar supplements.

Also, I am seeing a dizziness specialist at John's Hopkins in September, so hopefully the doctor will be able to shed some light on the subject. I want to go in prepared with my questions, but right now I don't even know which questions to ask. Any suggestions?
