The currently accepted range for "normal" TSH is 0.3-3.0. Old ranges still persist, however, as many labs and doctors have not adopted the new range. We, on this forum, use 0.3-3.0. So, your TSH is high, which indicates that you might be hypothyroid. However, TSH is the least important of the thyroid tests. Your 6.72 indicates that you should have further testing. You should have free T3, free T4 and TSH repeated on the same blood draw.
