When prescribed for people who have ADHD, they stimulate the frontal parts of the brain which are not inhibiting ("filtering out") distractions as well as they should. hi. i have been prescribed adderall before, but the only downfall for me is the comedown. I get all jittery and generally just feel bad.. my friend who is prescribed recommended me dexedrine, he says because it is pure dextroamphetamine and that there are no salts that the comedown isn't as harsh, is this true? i really wanna try this stuff out for my adhd, so how would i go about telling my doctor i would like to try it so i dont end up sounding like i just want drugs?

You don't say why you are taking Clonidine? Because of your age, I'm going to guess that it's for attention-deficit disorder. One of the side effects of Clonidine can be a sense of shortness of breath.
Vyvanse, another med for ADHD, can also cause shortness of breath.
There is no medication with the name 'dextromaphane,' but there is Dextroamphetamine. Is this what you are taking? It also is used to treat ADHD.

i shot Amphetamine-Dextroamphetamine 10 mg, filled half a cc syringe i think to the 40 and injected it into my arm the first try was unsucsessful and obviously the second .
m not mistaken, Vyvanse is a longer-duration version of dextroamphetamine - not too far from adderall, which is a mixture of amphetamine salts (mostly dextroamphetamine). Mention it to your pdoc - chances are it's from the dosage and it needs to be changed a bit.
When mine was a bit too high, I noticed weird things like that, such as my tongue would continually rub my teeth. I never have done that before, and it was like I could not stop unless I focused very hard on it.
Vyvanse 50mg, dextroamphetamine 10mg (as needed), propranolol (20 but I tapered it into 10), wellbutrin (100 SR twice a day)
(I never took more than the recommended dosage, but a lot of the time, I change the dosage thought the month depending on the day by loweing it. For example; sometimes I take 50mg vyvanse the day after its 35, then 40, then 50 and so on. Sometimes I take dextroamph without vyvanse, sometimes I take one dex with vyvanse.
