Avatar m tn The strange thing is that if I bend my head down, the ear goes back to normal, but if I raise my head up , it gets clogged again. I went to an ENT Doctor and made a test for my ear and there was no problem in my ear then he saw my nose and told me that I need to make a surgery for my nose cartilage to solve the ear clogging problem. I don't know if I understood him right, but he said that the left nostril is closing which causes pressure on my left ear and causing it to get clogged.
1329703 tn?1275158081 I have a deviated septum that was found when my allergy shots started working but I still couldn't breathe through my nose. I also have mild sinus issues with them clogging and a mild infection (normally my immune system gets it under control within a week or so). I have the surgery in a couple of weeks so I can't comment on the long term affects yet but I'm hopeful it will help!
Avatar f tn The headaches were also on the left side due to pressure from the clogged nostril. He told me I had a deviated septum. I scheduled surgery that day because he said he could fix my problem and make it easier to breathe. Well he did make it easier to breathe out of the clogged side, but he moved the septum too far and now I cannot breathe out of what was my "good" side. My headaches are worse than they were before the surgery.
Avatar f tn my left side nose is deviated,,my voice is hitting left ear,, and ringing in ear is also left only.
Avatar f tn It’s 100% clogged and giving me horrible vertigo. I’ve always had slight problems with my left ear because I get little air in my left nostril, but nothing like this. I have no idea what to do. I can’t see a doctor until I get home Wednesday. Is there ANYTHING I can do? Would a decongestant help? Thank you.
Avatar f tn Hi guys.. so my heart goes out to everyone who'se dealing with these symptoms.. because they are enough to really disable someone.. this has been going on for over 3 years now and it's just gotten severely worse this past year.. I just saw an ENT because of the constant pressure/fullness with both ears, nose is constantly clogged.. and sometimes it switches.. ENT only told me I had a deviated septum and that he didn't beleive in surgery..
Avatar m tn I'm 41 - been dealing with my Right ear feeling 'clogged' now for over 3 years. I have had tubes put in (2 years ago) for 2 weeks...did nothing. The ENT looks, and says my ear is "clear" - Says could be eustacian tube disorder, etc. Finally, after bouts with Bronchitus and sinus issues over Nov and Dec, went back to my Primary - he referred me to another ENT.
Avatar f tn Hi, Did you ever find out what was causing your ear issues? I have the exact same thing, deviated septum and ear has pressure/muffled hearing. Thanks!
Avatar m tn Hi, its unlikely that a deviated septum can cause dizziness. Deviated septum can cause problems with breathing, as it causes nasal blockage. Your symptoms of dizziness and lightheadedness, if are relieved by eating something, indicate that you might be having episodes of hypoglycemia. Inadequate sleep can also cause tiredness, fatigue and dizziness. Other causes for these symptoms are inner ear infections; brain disorders heart problems, fever, stress, low blood pressure and anxiety.
Avatar f tn 20 mg ,been on it over 6 weeks now ,I do a have a nasal deviated septum on the right side and that's the side were the problems have been
Avatar n tn I suggested maybe it was my sinuses, he did a CT scan of them and said my sinuses were clear, but I do have a severely deviated septum, which I do not think is contributing to these problems, since I have had no injuries to my nose, this would lead me to believe that I have had this issue all of my life (deviated septum). I have been checked for thyroid problems twice and my BP is good. I have seen a dentist and do not have TMJ or any abscesses.
Avatar m tn My right eye and the right side of my head and my right ear seems to be the only side effected. Ill start with my eye. My eye seems to be a response from my ear or head. It doesn't seem to move with my left eye and it feels swollen and looks lazy most of the time. The vision in my right eye seems to be slightly fading, i am a little near sighted anyway. Also, when i look at people, it seems like my right eye just doesn't follow my left and it looks almost dead.
1452978 tn?1285110262 Has anyone had the sinus surgery and it helped the dizziness, off balance, and lightheaded feeling. I am have a deviated septum that is being correct. I am nervous I have never had surgery before but I am praying this takes care of the issues. Could someone please share their experiences with me, my surgery is Thursday. Thanks so much!
Avatar m tn I've been diagnost with a deviated septum and excercised induced astma and was wondering if any one had septum fixed? Would it help with sinus infections and breathing for asthma? Any deviated septum repair stories out there?
Avatar f tn This last Sunday while driving 40 minutes away up and down steep heels, I had a popping sensation and it sounded like tinfoil in my ear, and when I stopped and got out of the car, I was really dizzy. Lately it has also felt like a bug is crawling in there sometimes. I'm taking Sudafed and Nasacort regularly. Yesterday for the first time I felt great, but today the tinnitus is back with a vengeance.
Avatar f tn I have heard of a perforated septum and deviated septum- Can these things lead to a feeling of your eye starting to sink in (it totally is not noticable to look at) its just a slight feeling. What is that all about? AND from there can it cause more damage to your ear drums? Like having a popping or clicking sound when blowing by nose. I would appreciate any advise- insurance issues, surgerys, natural healing, but please dont say to me to stop doing cocaine.
671285 tn?1292660161 Here is my summary: For 2 months I have been battling a severe sinus infection. I feel dizzy, shortness of breath, my ears ring, pop, and feel clogged, and my nose burns. Wasn't prescribed any medication except for a nasal spray which helped a little. Had an MRI done and the results showed that I have severe sinusitis. I went to an Ear Nose and Throat specialist. After a few tests, the doc said that I have a deviated septum but that my ears look great (perfect hearing too).
Avatar n tn Thank you for your response, it is very encouraging to hear. I was able to get a good night sleep however I woke up and my ear still feels clogged up, no improvement. My doctor says symptoms should not be worse than before the operation, so he is seeing me today. But it is good to know that symptoms can continue for a few weeks and then get better. Thanks again for replying.
Avatar m tn You may want to see and Ear, Nose and Throat doctor for an acurate diagnosis. They do a more thorough sinus exam with scopes that may reveal something the other doctors are missing. He may order a sinus CT to see if something else is going on as well. Take care and God bless.
Avatar f tn I went to an EET and had sinus surgery done a few years ago to open up for drainage and to repair a deviated septum. However, since then the pressure and lightheadedness is getting worse and adding to the equation I've got fullness in my ears. Sometimes at night it's all I can do to stand it; the pressure is so bad. I've been to the doctor complaining several times and he says it's "Indiana sinuses". I just don't know where to turn or what to do.
Avatar n tn I would really like to know what is causing this wheezing and if this is just normal or if it is directly related to my sinus condition. I just recently saw an ear nose and throat doctor and he said that I have a deviated septum and should look into getting a septoplasty. I'm trying to get a sinus ct scan to see if there is anything else going on.
