741515 tn?1262540739 Hi lady, I'm in Ottawa and been searching the internet for help for years, and this is by far the best source of information I have found. Even here in the Capital of our country I've been without any doctor for over a year because my environmental specialist retirerd and last GP left town and no-one would take new patients. Finally have an August appointment. I'll be watching this thread myself to know of any other help here.

Avatar n tn Hey,,,The thread down below was closed so replying here. Depression is real on these meds and yes I wouldn't want to let that go as anyone at all feeling like they were weak or couldn't handle. I know lots that are suffering the mental part more so then physical. We all experience different sides it seems and some more severe in others. The depression part just hasn't overall been that bad or big of a battle for me,,,however,,,the flu like symptoms is the one that is getting me down the most.

573297 tn?1304712740 My pdoc told me to check out the book Bipolar Disorder for Dummies....nice....anyway, there isn't one friggin store in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada that has this friggin book. I had to order it! I bought the Bipolar Workbook, and I like it.....but....it isn't always easy to apply these "everyone kind of behaviour". I am also inconsistent in one day to the next. My mother in fact doesn't think I have anything wrong with me because I laugh at comedies!!!!!! Hello!!!!
188500 tn?1207368551 The drugs used to treat hepatitis C are very expensive and they can cause severe fatigue, fever, depression, and other hard-to-tolerate side effects. But he says a better strategy than shortening treatment is lowering drug dosage in patients who have trouble tolerating hepatitis C treatments. He adds that rapid response to treatment has become as important as viral genotype for predicting response to treatment.
Avatar f tn I can tell you that this pain is more than stress and depression. The pain is causing the stress and depression. I have tried all different medications from anti depressants to muscle relaxers to heavy duty pain meds and also had a nerve blocker done. NO RELIEF!!!! Is this FIBRO? What is my best next course of action???? Thank you, FRUSTRATED as hell.
Avatar m tn People label people with anxiety or depression as having a mental disorder, why is not the same for someone who is transgendered? Here is an article on what is being called "transabled" which is nothing short of a mental disorder. Maybe a closer look should be done with transgendered to see if this is more a mental disorder than anything else. http://news.nationalpost.
Avatar n tn Getting odd sensations that disapear when focused on another task can happen in some neuropathies (diseases of the nerves) and also in anxiety/depression. In addition, given your epilepsy history it is best that epilepsy is also ruled out as a cause (by getting an EEG[brain wave test] while having the 'buzzing' sensation).
Avatar n tn However, the medication I took before that Clonidine (which is used as an off label mood stabilizer though not much because of the potential of creating depression) in some ways dampened my personality and wiped it out and at other times would make me in an agitated mixed state.
148057 tn?1231430591 So their primary treatment for menieres is allergy shot treatment along with hydrochlorothiazide 50 mg and papaverine. This actually seemed to work somewhat. Bur, here’s the cruel part, you can not get papaverine anymore because the manufacture stops making it. I have noticed that my hydrochlorothiazide treatment is not as effective anymore without the papaverine. Papaverine enabled the hydrochlorothiazide to get into my inner ear and keep the fluid out.
1323278 tn?1298126088 Access to treatment Specifically, for RRMS and in some instances SPMS, I think any of the 10 provinces and three territories would do, as all jurisdictions provide, for nominal or free of charge, the approved DMDs on the recommendation of a neuro/MS specialist. As far as I know, no Canadian should go without treatment for financial reasons; big difference compared to USA, and even UK, where DMD access seems to be more constricted and less of a given than in Canada.
Avatar f tn I have to say that she is a perfect example of someone who would benefit from more CBT and medication because she definitely doesn't have any depression, she just has GAD with panic. I would love to know who on this board has agoraphobia and if they have been housebound or are still housebound and how they are dealing with it.
Avatar n tn I am still unsure of what is wrong with me, as depression is getting the better of me, and I still have not been told what is actually wrong. I am open to any answers to try and fix myself, as my life has taken a turn for the worst.
Avatar m tn i think i might add that too, I also have 4 different types of anti-histamines from when i had itching on treatment (which also treat allergies) im wondering if its worth trying one of those... i think one step at a time... i will give a week to 10 days without supplements/herbal tea's and see if it stops or gets better... if not I may add decongestant like you say cos i can hear my breathing in ears when breathing through nose...
518031 tn?1295578974 If the powers that be in any regard don't do anything to restructure and repair the national economy then there will be a global reccession that may spiral into the depths the great depression did. I look back and I don't believe President Obama will have the ideas that F.D.R. did. Remember F.D.R. pulled us through World War II and did not take disrespect from dictators far more harmful than any we discuss.
Avatar n tn I have been seeing an Endocrinologist since that time and am not secure in his diagnosis or his treatment. I have had 4 neck surgeries: 2 cervical fusions, and 2 cervical foramanotomy's (one on each side). About 1 month prior to the initial flare up I had started drinking C2 (The first time I've ever had any type of diet drink). I am a voicewriter by profession, which means I repeat everything I hear into a recording device.
1417531 tn?1365601325 I will have treatment immediately before and after the transfer. It's supposed to help with implantation. I have been using acupuncture twice a week for almost four months. Hopefully it pays off. Success rates are 60% higher for those going through IVF with acupuncture rather than doing it solo. Lots of baby dust for all!
