Avatar f tn I feel bad now cause I talked her into doing it. I started out with the 1 area in my first treatment, then moved up to two for the other treatments. I had horrible side effects. I would have to schedule my treatments for Friday after work and I would be down for the whole weekend every time I went for treatments. The discomfort and swelling would get so bad that I would have to take pain meds to take the edge off.
Avatar f tn The most heavily affected areas include the Northeast (New York, New Jersey, Connecticut, Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania), the upper Midwest (Minnesota, Wisconsin), and the Pacific coastal region (California, Oregon). History Although Lyme disease was first described in the United States as an arthritic illness preceded by a rash (7), early reports in Europe described a primarily neurologic illness without any arthritis (8,9).
148691 tn?1260198503 I have found myself in TOTAL FEAR and freaking out about possible situations.... that in my mind 'could happen' if something little goes wrong.... to the point that it's constant fear, and constant 'bad pictures' in my head.... I wake up sweating sometimes from these fears.... What fears?? Well, I constantly think: what if someone holding Maddie make a wrong movement and she slips right off their hands and falls???? what if she drowns in the tub/pool/wherever-the-heck-she-could-drown???

Avatar m tn For all of the forum members that have followed Craig's story since August, 2007, I wanted to let you know that he finally got a diagnosis today at NYU MS center. Things have been declining for Craig since November 2004, with lesions and brain atrophy since 2006. He had gone to Mayo Clinic, Mellen Center at Cleveland Clinic, National Institute of Health, and four other MS neurologists.
544292 tn?1268886268 The detox from tramadol won't kill you (unlike sedative detox might) but you're going to feel so bad you'll likely get real creative in finding ways to get more drugs. ***Talk to your Doc, or a new Doc, Explain what you're trying to do and why (so many of your were jut brilliant at that in your posts). Often even a Doc you've f***ed over before will work with you if they see you're sincere; tell him/her you'll come by daily to pick up that day's meds for the taper.
Avatar n tn Words will not be able to express my gratitude to anyone who can refer me to a doctor in SoCal where I can get on bup and stop taking all this toxic propoxyphene (darvon). I want to be free of this addiction in the worst way but it seems like you have to live in New Jersey to get access to the bup cure. How can this be? Please, someone, anyone, I have no pride left and I'm on my hands and knees begging you. Tell me what to do, who to call, where to go.
Avatar f tn LeaAnn, thank you girl, I know I have to learn to reach out for help when I need it and it's just so hard, feeling vulnerable has always been an issue with me. At this moment in time i am falling back in depression and I don't want too, I just want my happy place back and it's a struggle. All the negative thoughts cloud my head:-( Thanks self induced!! Ill keep walking my friend!
499534 tn?1328707778 Some folks feel better with a small dose of T3. T3 alone or with antidepressants may help in depression. And some respond best to Armour Thyroid, which has both T4 and T3 (from ground up pig thyroids). The use of T3 is controversial because most studies show little benefit. The studies, however, are inconclusive. I find T3 has a useful role in some patients. A small number of people have trouble converting T4 to T3.
Avatar n tn A doctor has recommended my mother to go with EP Study and perhaps Ablation if necessary. She lives in Pakistan but will come to New Jersey in Summer. I have been trying to find a good clinic/hospital with lots of experience near NJ/NY area where EP Study and Ablation can be done by an expert. Can anyone please suggest a good clinic in NJ/NY area.
Avatar n tn I guess this isn't really a question. I am 19 years old and have lived in New Jersey my whole life. I have tried almost every drug there is, however, I tend to steer away from drug abuse. I am working very hard to get my life in order and keep it that way. My problem is my friends. Just about every friend I have is currently addicted to oxycotin. They think that because it is in a pill it is somehow less harmful than heroin!
Avatar n tn any positive effects are shortlived, and any coexisting state of major depression, which is found in ~30% of addicts, may be primary object of such treatment. Other agents include: antiparkinsonian dopamine receptor agonist bromocriptine, the amino acid tyrosine, phenothiazines, (antipsychotics-antidopaminergics), other antidepressants, the mood stabilizer lithium, and the anticonvulsant carbamzepine.
Avatar m tn because they don't believe in chronic Lyme or long term abx as a treatment. Please google IDSA ( infectious Disease Association) and Lyme disease and you can read up on this conflict that we have with them. The CDC follows their guidelines that is why there are so few LLMD, Lyme literate doctors, because many LLMD are brought before their states medical board and some get their licenses taken away. We never mention LLMD on here by name for that reason.
Avatar n tn I tried to get off and I had stomach pain, vomiting, sweats, chills, headache, deppression(BAD),severe cravings, bones ache, knee caps hurt, lower back feels like it is rotting off,the stomache pain is the worst, diahrreah,I lost my children ,4 of them and then my husband gave up on me and left while I was sleeping to New Jersey. Avatar f tn depression; and skin inflammation. Removal of the implants resulted in a dramatic improvement in the patients’ symptoms, as well as a decrease in many patients’ sensitivity to titanium. FROM A GREAT GERMAN STUDY ABOUT A WOMAN WHO CAME DOWN "with myalgia and arthralgia predominantly in the knees and small joints of the hands and feet, with morning stiffness lasting at least 2 h. Avatar m tn He needs to be taught those and he that needs to be done in a clinically supervised environment. I DO suggest a treatment center. Long-term if possible. That being said, I don't think it would be wise to give him an ultimatum. Chances are he will run. Be firm with him. sit him down and tell him he is going to a rehabilitation center to save his life. If he runs or if he refuses then you will need to make some decisions. I pray for you all. Let us know how you are doing.
Avatar n tn You've posted to a very old thread. You may want to post to a new thread to get more answers. That being said...does she WANT to get help? If she's not at that stage, there's not much you can do short of turning her into the police and hoping she gets court mandated detox. Is she getting these drugs legally? Does she have chronic pain? We can suggest ways for her to get through the detox and withdrawals, but she has to want it for herself, first.
Avatar n tn I've been waiting 3 years for disc replacement surgery to be a little more mainstream treatment. I'm interested in hearing anything about this procedure for the C-spine. I'm considered a surgery candidtate for c-5/6 and c-6/7 levels.

Mr. Kenney was originally referred to the nephrologist by his endocrinologist (diabetic specialist) at the Joslin Clinic because of kidney damage that resulted from poorly controlled diabetes (very high glucose readings) in spite of maximum medical management.
Avatar f tn Oh I had a lot of stuff leaking out - I am surprised you did not have the um, state of new jersey fall out! LOL... some of the scabs can be huge, nasty and icky.... Why does your doc have you on pred? Watch that... it is nasty stuff... Keep healing!
Avatar n tn The clinics, doctors, health insurance companies and Government have NO interest in helping addicts get off. Every official treatment offered is ****, useless. They could medicate her using blood pressure medications, amino acids, and alternating between various other drugs that prescribed and taken carefully won't lead to alternate addiction, dropping her swiftly. But they WON'T. It's in their best interest to keep the failure rate for detox/taper high.
Avatar f tn I can't remember why that was but the cramping can also be from implantation. I had a lot of that when I got pregnant both times. Good luck. The odds are in your favor. IVF works 50% of the time. I bet it's working on you. Take care and let us know what happens.
1055869 tn?1294203119 After the disappointment we went through with the IVF, we decided to visit a new urologist in January of this year for a second opining. He told her the problem my husband had was fixable. Surgery happened in February and husband fully recovered only to find out that I had a less than welcoming cervix. So that's how we ended up doing IUI. All: I appreciate the warm wishes from all.
1565702 tn?1295296430 Whats worse is that my chest has felt really tight tonight, and I felt short of breath just walking to my apartment from the parking lot, although Im sure it didnt help I had a cigarette clinched in my mouth and was carrying large case files and trying to walk up a flight of stairs in new high heels that arent broken in and gave me awful blisters today, but it was still scary to find myself literally gasping for breath again.
Avatar n tn I have been seeing an Endocrinologist since that time and am not secure in his diagnosis or his treatment. I have had 4 neck surgeries: 2 cervical fusions, and 2 cervical foramanotomy's (one on each side). About 1 month prior to the initial flare up I had started drinking C2 (The first time I've ever had any type of diet drink). I am a voicewriter by profession, which means I repeat everything I hear into a recording device.
Avatar n tn My husband and I are both in Law Enforcement and so is my little brother. I am from New Jersey and I have two dogs that I treat like kids. My mother passed away in 1999 and one of my dogs Pebbles was hers, I bought her for my mom when I was in the Training Academy in 97. Sonny is my boy and we bought him to keep Pebbs company. Now they are best friends forever. That's my life story.
Avatar f tn I live in central New Jersey. I absolutely think its Brachioradial Pruritus, thats the only thing that makes sense. I personally believe its neck/spinal problem causing the itching not sun exposure. I know that i had a problem with my neck when i was younger and maybe that is what has started causing this now. I also have a slight case of scoliosis. Many people are debating the cause and reasons for this its been written about in journals but there is nothing concrete.
1647691 tn?1363727302 We are fortunate enough to tick all the boxes for further nhs funding but we have to wait for 6 months before more treatment in order to qualify. We didn't have any frozen so it'll be the whole shebang again. Lucky hubbie with my mood swings again!!
Avatar n tn I received my first shot Feb 3. I weighed in at 193. When I received my second shot on Feb 23 I weighed 175. So in those three weeks I lost 18lbs. I dont weigh myself in between visits. My next appointment is March 16, so I will see what happens then.
