I just dnt like time sit around n do nothing my mind wonders badly...

My heart goes out to you. I feel very much the same way. I'm a 33 year old father of 3, and I lost my job about 7 months ago. I blew out 2 discs in my lower back and can't do the physical work I've done all my life. My wife works, and she is supporting us. I can't get disability, and to make it worse I became addicted to the pain meds I was prescribed.

I want to preface I have been diagnosed with depression years ago by two separate doctors. Recently I have gone untreated due to job loss and unemployment, no income. I missed day 21 of my pill (tri-sprintec) and have had some odd symptoms since. I had unprotected sex the night I forgot the pill. I took the pill the next day, around 16 hours late. Two days later I felt very painful cramping, mostly around my uterus but it also felt like it could have been one of my ovaries, the right side.

Have any of you filed for unemployment during pregnancy and continued after delivery? Did it affect your eligibility BC you couldn't accept work right after the baby was due?

Since im not full time with my jobs i dont get the benefits that come with going on maternity leave . i was wondering, can i get unemployment while on maternity leave. I need something coming in.

You would have to be laid off from your position to collect unemployment. Under unemployment, you still have to actively seek employment (at least 2 jobs a week) to get benefits. Does your job offer paid sick leave/ temporary disability? Your best bet would be what missy & karen suggested. I'm afraid unemployment would not be an option for you if you are suffering from a disability.

I already did qualify for unemployment and the company I worked for wrote a letter telling unemployment they were waiving their 10 days and asked for a immediate realease of funds, so that was good news :)

insurance at this time due to unemployment. My Dr. wants me to file for disability because I have been very ill for a while. I refuse to give up right now!

I have been going through some serious depression for the frist time in my life...i have never been in this type of situation before where it seem like every single thing in my life is going down hill AND fast.... nothing is working out right or even half way decent.I have been out of work for a year, no unemployment, cant find a job and a single parent.Needless to say it is christmas and cant buy one thing for my child because i dont have a dollar.

Is anyone going through depression during their pregnancy? I have been restless, having hard times with sleeping and over thinking and constant worrying, excessive crying. I have been feeling this way since before pregnancy and I've been waiting my while life for this beautiful moment of meeting my baby boy soon.

Obama took office during the worst financial crisis since the Depression, as companies were laying off workers by the thousands. His first priority was stabilizing the banking system to prevent another depression. During Obama's first month in office, employers shed 800,000 jobs. To some extent, Obama has enjoyed luckier timing that Bush. The recession Obama inherited was more than a year old when he took office, and it officially ended five months later.

World War II on the other hand did get us out of the Depression. It made unemployment go away. The New Deal did not. I certainly do not want another world war. Obama’s New Deal is also something I could do without. Now 2 years later do you really think we are better off than if we would of been true capitalists and saw what rose out of the embers............

And MrsP... it's not Obama's fault that the unemployment rate is the way it is. Nor does he have ANY control over it dropping. He's not responsible for the economic situation, nor has he done anything to improve it. The free-market cannot and will not be influenced by gov't, in such a way that it'll noticeably increase & prosper due to anything Obama/gov't does. The "stimulus" that was supposed to bolster the economy and create sustainable jobs?

Ok so I went to my doctors today and he told me I have a high risk pregnancy. So I can't go to work is there some way I can stay home and get money. Does anyone know if I can unemployment do to this high risk pregnancy? Please I'm a single mom of a 2 yr and I live alone I need to pay my bill. Someone please help.

m now wondering if perhaps my symptoms are due to depression or are perhaps exacerbated because of depression. My question is can depression be a purely physical disease? In other words, can one have depression without feeling 'sad' emotionally? I've always been a happy, optimistic person. I have no other major stressors in my life, aside from my present illness. I'm a 30 y/o male with no history of any serious illness. I'm in good shape and have a good social life.

Idk about unemployment on maternity leave since you technically still have a job

How do u file for unemployment? I am currently 34 weeks pregnant and im taking my maternity leave in 2 weeks wen i hit 9 month exactly, but im a part time employee, would i still be eligable for unemplyment? Because i think i think unemplyment is just for full time emplyees:( i really need the money for my soon to come baby.. Is there any other thing or program that can help me with income asap??
