Avatar f tn I want to preface I have been diagnosed with depression years ago by two separate doctors. Recently I have gone untreated due to job loss and unemployment, no income. I missed day 21 of my pill (tri-sprintec) and have had some odd symptoms since. I had unprotected sex the night I forgot the pill. I took the pill the next day, around 16 hours late. Two days later I felt very painful cramping, mostly around my uterus but it also felt like it could have been one of my ovaries, the right side.
1518141 tn?1290822755 About the ER, maybe it's a good idea just to try to reduce the anxiety symptoms, but the real change, the one that is going to make a difference it has to come from the inside. I'm in the middle of reading a book called "Who would you be without your story? " form Byron Katie. The book was a gift ti my wife but I started to read id because I'm always worrying about stuf from work and mainly for stuf that hasn't happened yet but I stress a lot about it.
Avatar m tn I have always suffered with depression since I was a child so I immediately became hooked on the euphoric escape that painkillers gave me. I asked for a re-fill on that prescription, which I got, and ever since then I have been spending hundreds of dollars a month just to buy these things off the street. Now, I am on unemployment searching for a new job because the place I was working at a month ago closed down.
Avatar n tn I recently stopped taking Loritab 10 -- they were freely prescribed to me for back pain. Out of concern for my family and myself, I quit taking them -- pretty much "cold turkey." I felt pretty sure that I was through the rough withdraw period, but now I find myself very depressed. After taking the meds for 9 months +, I noticed that instead of causing drowsiness, they gave me energy to get through the day. Is depression a "normal" effect of getting off the meds?
Avatar m tn I am a 36 year old male. I have had OCD, Depression and Anxiety as far back as I can remember. I have done everything that I can to treat it - multiple medications, multiple therapists and a slew of naturopathic treatments Is there any hope for me? I remember being very young and telling people that I was depressed and they would tell me that I didn’t know what that word meant….but I did. As I got older and more sophisticated, I realized that I had OCD.
Avatar n tn I'm having withdrawal symptoms I didn't expect. Light headedness, the runs, blood pressure going up, and general fatigue. Lots of fatigue. And some irritability. I am hoping that these symptoms begin to decrease soon. Well, they have gotten better than it was in the first 2 days. I am still wondering how long I can expect to have these side effects of withdrawal?
Avatar f tn Beta was done 11 days past ET and I got a BFP!!! Try not to worry to much, alot of people say they feel no symptoms at all and still get a BFP. Best of luck to you.
1142230 tn?1268679266 I have heard there are sometimes problems with depression or suicidal thoughts? Not sure--do depression meds help? Also, I've hearing some reference to oral meds? Are they anticipated in the near future? I lost my job on Dec. 31st and am having the usual financial and insurance issues. I can't look for work because of my condition--and I'll probably never be able to do the work I've done for over 30 years because my dystonia limits my ability to type and that will not go away.
Avatar m tn Hello, I went through an event that lasted about a year of depression and unemployment stemming from lumbosacral (lower spine) and neck pain due to a car collision which left me depressed and bedridden for most of the day. I've spent about one year sleeping 14 hours a day. Within the last few months i've been noticing that upon waking up I would have a feeling of pressure on top of my head and sometimes a sharp pain in that area.

382218 tn?1341185087 It is the stress from events like loss of loved ones, poor health, unemployment, that can be so harmful and sometimes lead to chronic depression. It would seem there may be a corelation between stress and MS symptoms, however has yet to be proven in the opinion of the authors of the article. Lately the stress I've had, I've brought on myself as a result of procrastination. I thnk I must be addicted to the ensuing adrenaline rush or something...

Avatar n tn however, I lost my job and can't afford the costs, so my doctor put me on citalphram, 20 mg, which I can pay for with my unemployment insurance. I went straight from all those years on 75 mg effexor rx to this: my two days so far have been filled with a couple of days of bad headaches, first day treating with asprin (worked) and today, advil (worked); my question is . . . do you know of other symptoms I should expect? Can Citalopram replace effexor, since there isn't a 'generic' effexor'?
Avatar n tn like I used to feel years back. Only problem now is I have no job and my unemployment insurance benefits have run out and I have no job or income. I of course have sent out many cover-letters, resumes (CV's) to no avail. Only the words that "We have selected another candidate...good luck." Yesterday I went in the garage and was looking at the high cross-beams to see if a hanging was possible. I don't know if I was serious or not.
Avatar f tn You definetly have depression symptoms..without being able to eat...etc. As far as relationships...they say that we pick the same "types" of people over and over. The way to find the PERFECT mate..which I read in some book...is to frequent places YOU would not normally frequent. People think the objective is to find a mate who is LIKE them..it is the opposite that is true. The book says to go to places you would NEVER go too. Like if you don't ski...go hang out in a ski lodge...
Avatar n tn I am depressed/OCD, and need psychotherapy and psychiatric medication, but I have no job, and I'm living on unemployment benefits (which only pays the rent) What should I do? (I live in the CA Bay Area in Fremont) Over the past 8 years or so, I've noticed that I have been having a lot of trouble with my memory and concentration. I have trouble focusing on what people are saying, and I can barely remember what someone just told me just a moment ago. I can't think clearly.
975514 tn?1325001538 She is concerned about MS due to my laundry list of symptoms and is sending me to see the head honcho of the MS Neurology department at one of the organized health care organizations in the area where I live for a complete evaluation. She is concerned about my foot numbness, little reflexes and nerve damage in my left foot. She said they want to look at my brain. I am expecting a spinal tap as well. My Rheumy mentioned MS once, but didn't explore it.
1059647 tn?1255039454 Hi, you also describe symptoms of depression with some anxiety. Depression can cause you to lose concentration, motivation and focas. I would consider talking to a doctor about this as there is help available. In the mean time, I would break what you need to do into small tasks. Then set a guideline for what you want to accomplish. One to two tasks a day. This makes it much more doable than looking at the whole picture of what needs to be done. Being overwhelmed slows us down.

6708370 tn?1471493810 Fatigue, aching and painful muscles and joints, and brain fog (as well as symptoms of depression) are symptoms of Autoimmune Diseases. Many of the symptoms present with Autoimmune Diseases mimic Depression, but they are not from Drepression. They are from the Autoimmune Disease. I would suggest seeing a competent Rheumatologist at a large university affiliated medical center for a thorough exam and thorough testing.
Avatar f tn Hi Your symptoms are most likely linked to depression, the reason being unemployment. This has caused you to suffer from hypersomnia, an excessive sleep condition where a person sleeps for 10 or more hours each night (for at least two consecutive weeks) and still experiences feelings of tiredness during the day. Usually, the right combination of psychotherapy and medication can alleviate your depression and sleeping problems.
Avatar f tn I then had a wreck that severed nerves in my knee and totaled my car. After getting myself fired, on unemployment and medicaid My right shoulder was so deformed and unstable that it was replaced. I then had a sidebar of a 10 mm kidneystone with a raging infection. Avatar f tn Now, you're talking about anxiety, but you're being treated for severe depression or else you suffer from ADHD. Adderall isn't given to anxiety sufferers, but it is sometimes given to severely depressed people and to people who suffer from ADHD. It's speed, pure speed. Obviously anxiety sufferers don't do well on speed. People without anxiety can get it from taking speed.
Avatar n tn am currently being treated with Zoloft/ativan for panic attacks, agorophobia, depression, and OCD's. I also have depersonalization disorder, which I feel is my worst symptom of all because it's constant, but my psychiatrist seems to shy away from acknowledging that as a seperate entity from the panic disorder. I have had these symptoms for about 2 years or more.
