Avatar f tn I finally was able to see the specialist and apparently sleep is MOST important with FMS. I have realized it is so true and am going to keep a journal to see what my symptoms are compared to the amount of sleep I get. I'm not sure about what meds to take to sleep, but I would suggest not taking meds you don't have to if they interfere with your sleep. Years ago I took Paxil and it made me sleep and I remember all my pain going away.
Avatar f tn moment when I remember having the same thing happen to me during another episode. It is hard to remember because so many symptoms come and go and may never show up again. I went through a time when my knees would just give out on me for no reason. This went away after a few months and was forgotten about. I have had times when I feel like I am leaning to the right and having difficulty staying on my feet. I have many times not been able to find the right word for even the simplest things.

Avatar f tn These symptoms of headache and mood swings are most likely related to irregularity of menstrual cycle due to hormonal imbalance. Stress is considered an etiological factor in such hormonal disturbances. I would advice you not to avoid too much stress, change is practical phenomenon of life. Additionally, consult a gynecologist to rule out other causes like iron deficiency, folic acid deficiency, polycystic ovary etc. Hope this helps.

1348949 tn?1276672376 Hi, My depression always really bad in the mornings. By the afternoon I could function normally. I have heard other people are worse when they get up. I am on medication now, and am well and depression under control, and mood even throughout the day. Other pills have had awful side effects with me.
Avatar n tn I am currently on zoloft for depression and sleep related problems but am coming off the medication with lowered dosages I also take loestrin. The last few times I was outside without any intense physical activity I experienced a numbness in my right foot followed minutes later by a blackout which would have resulted in me fainting had it not been for the fact that I have fainted before and can recognize when I am about to pass out before actually hitting the ground.
Avatar f tn The reason for the constant 4AM wake up time is because of your sleep cycles. You go through 4-5 cycles of sleep, from light to deep to REM sleep. During REM sleep, your muscles (including your throat muscles) relax completely and the longer you stay in this stage, the more likely you'll stop breathing and wake up. You don't have to wake up gasping or choking. You probably don't like to sleep on your back, right?
