depression symptoms of pregnancy

Lately I've been getting a bit concerned about my lack of patience and my apathy about cleaning house, changing my daughter's diapers, etc. Just wondering, have any of you developed depression while pregnant and what did you do about it? Did you treat it with medicine or exercise or what?

So it appears that morning sickness is setting in; I'm about 6 weeks pregnant. I feel like I've had a hangover for the last week! Which obviously, isn't a hangover. To top it off I just started working straight nights. In the past after working 3 nights (12 hour shifts) in a row, I would be exhausted, but after a day of recovery, felt pretty good. Now after just 2 nights, it takes me days to recover. I feel like all I've done is sleep and eat the last week, yuck!

Can constant popping, clicking and cracking joints with pain really be a symptoms of anxiety and depression? I am just so scared that their is something else causing my symptoms? @Mammo-you're right. I'm letting my life pass me by and I'm wasting it worrying about my health. I just do not know how to make all of these symptoms go away and get my life back. I just don't know what to do. I have no where to turn.

Pregnancy is tough with all the symptoms that come with it to begin with so with your new diagnoses added to it didn't make it any better. but whenever you feel discouraged or depressed just try to focus on the end result....your new baby boy or girl. It will be ok.

You should avoid paxil and Xanax in pregnancy however zoloft is safe. Instead of Xanax you could try benadryl it is used off label for anxiety and trouble sleeping. I would speak with your Ob and I would also see if you can find a psychiatrist who is willing to treat you while pregnant. You can't just buck up and deal, that's the nature of depression and anxiety it is a medical condition not just a poor attitude.

If ur always sad or moody. Dont want to do regular activities you once enjoyed, having bad thoughts of harming utself or others, theres different symptoms for everyone. If u have a concern u should see ur doc promptly.

iIs this still a symptom of depression or Am I already paranoid?i'm seeing things and hear things...like someone calling my name,there was even a time when it was noon I was washing dishes when a woman in white crawled under our dinning table..i went to follow,to prove to myself that there was nothing there...and I was correct!

I think I have depression since the pregnancy, can anyone who's suffered/suffering tell me their symptoms? I don't want to be depressed but I just feel like I'm sinking slowly and my poor baby I don't want her to suffer with me..

m now wondering if perhaps my symptoms are due to depression or are perhaps exacerbated because of depression. My question is can depression be a purely physical disease? In other words, can one have depression without feeling 'sad' emotionally? I've always been a happy, optimistic person. I have no other major stressors in my life, aside from my present illness. I'm a 30 y/o male with no history of any serious illness. I'm in good shape and have a good social life.

I thought for certain that all of these things were because of my quit. I am so grateful to have stumbled onto this forum as I had another 3 months of illness before it stopped! The people here were the ones that got me through it.....teko & Jade as well as some others, they are why I was so successful in my quit. My family never knew I was "quit" until it was about 2 months time.

There are a lot of symptoms. Put "pregnancy symptoms" in a search engine and see what could be going on! Please note that pregnancy symptoms are not uncommon symptoms and can be other things, too, not just pregnancy. Only way to know is to have a preg. test, doctor confirmation, and an ultrasound.

I have depression, anxiety problems and ptsd all in one, I haven't had any symptoms with my pregnancy and this is my 3rd pregnancy. I'm married and the only support I have is my husband and that is one of the main factors of my depression. I have insurance and they cover all but $20.

Have any of you heard, that now part of your regular OB appts, Drs will be screening for signs of depression? SO SMART. So many women suffer from mild to severe cases of depression, and once they become pregnant, mixed with hormones, well...it isn't a happy cocktail. Also, post partum depression...it is so easily fixed, yet so hidden from many new Moms...please talk to someone if you have the baby blues, or feel overwhelmed...help is only minutes away!

I had pregnancy depression for about 2 months i didn' . Wanna do anythin . But sleep and Eat and be stubborn about Everything.
