If the depression is making it to where you can no longer get out of bed then it is time to think about seeing a dr. This is if you have been depressed for a while, like weeks or months. Everyone has depression at some time. If you have ever been happy then at some point you are going to be sad.
Avatar f tn Do you think it could be depression? I had similar physical symptoms, like joint pain and headaches, trouble sleeping and the forgetfulness. The anxiety and feeling unmotivated go hand in hand with depression as well. Most people who are diagnosed with one are diagnosed with the other. Also have you been to see your doc about it? And how long have have symptoms been going on?

Avatar m tn they say that most chronic hbvers do not have any symptoms at all, or they may have very mild symptoms that they do not notice. From my personal experience I was getting weaker over the years, and when I hit the beginning of my thirties I began to notice a marked weaknes. I don't want to scare you, we humans are very different and I had, for example, tb, malaria, giardia infection, etc very often as a child something that could be still affecting my health in my adult age.
Avatar f tn My symptoms include heavy limbs (especially legs), lack of concentration, mild/occasional nausea, and lightedness. I've noticed the symptoms seem more intense in the mid-morning and somewhat subside by mid-afternoon. Has anyone experienced a heightened awareness of depressive symptoms during certain times of the day? I'm seeing my doctor on Tuesday and plan to discuss these symptoms. Thank you in advance!

Avatar f tn Lately, I have been having a definite increase in health issues. I have always had mild depression and anxiety that seem to get worse the week before my period. I have always had mild back pain, and always had mild issues with my sleep patterns. When I was 31 I hate to admit this but, I terminated a pregnancy, it screwed with my head so bad I've never been the same. Not to mention since I've been in my thirties though, my whole body seems to be going out of control.
Avatar f tn ProudMumToBe is absolutely right that it's not "just growing up" to think of harming yourself. And even if it were, that doesn't change how you feel. Don't let anyone make you think that you're weak or a bad person or "silly" or whatever because you're having trouble coping. Being young doesn't mean your feelings are less real than anyone else's.
Avatar f tn To be honest, you sound like yes, you are having symptoms of depression and anxiety. Covid can have after symptoms but for someone that has had covid twice, I wouldn't go there to think you do. There are other things going on and a history with you that would make me think more mental health. What CAN you do? Well, what about digging into the mental health aspect? A psychologist who does dbt/cbt therapy?
Avatar n tn If you're still in the w/d phase, and it's from that, the depression will be from that (low Serotonin available in your brain). This may take a while to go on it's own, so some steps are certainly in order to get you coping again. Mike was right about the supplement name, St. John's Wort. Even docs. prescribe it for depression. It is thought to work by inhibiting the reuptake of Serotonin and other neurotransmitters. The recommended adult dose for depression is 300 mg.
Avatar n tn At first I thought it was some kind of depression and then I thought it was symptoms of the flu coming but I dont feel sick. When I got home I started to have chills. Could someone please help me and give me their opinions as to what is wrong with me and what I could do please?
Avatar m tn Abilify is an anti-psychotic med commonly used to treat psychotic illnesses such as bipolar disorder, schitzophrenia, etc. It is sometimes used as an adjunct treatment (in addition to another antidepressant) to treat clinical depression, alrthough I've honestly never heard of it being Rx'ed alone for depression. That doesn't mean it isn't done or that it won't help, I'm just telling you the common uses.

Avatar n tn I fear that it reinforces the problem when actually his symptoms are mild and maybe he is just who he is. Is therapy recommended for all diagnosed children with aspergers and it the goal of treatment to be proactive for problems down the road. Could it be that he is just a child with aspergers who will make it in this world without intervention? At the same time I do not want to ignore the issue and have something serious happen.

Avatar f tn I feel hopeless without reason a lot, and it frustrates the hell out of me. If therapy alone isn't helping, you need to try the meds. My depression started when I was 15, and here I am now at 23 barely able to function most days, but I've learned in this long period what should not be done, so if you have any questions, feel free to ask me. On the medication part, I'd try Zoloft first.
Avatar m tn about 5 years ago I had a risky sexual encounter with a woman I just recently found out had syphilis at the time. At this point I already had herpes. After the exposure I got a reoccuring sore on my chin which I thought was just the herpes having moved to my face through oral sex. Over the last year i have experienced a lot of the more nerve based symptoms of syphilis and am awaiting test results.
Avatar f tn the reason i ask is because my symptoms seem much more mild than most of what i have read for hiv. i did not have a rash, no sores, no sore throat or cough (the cough...i could be wrong about...i had been smoking cigs while in mexico and i could have overlooked it as cig related if a cough did exists as i am not usually a smoker and have sensitive lungs). about 4 or 5 months later i got 1 or 2 dime sized psoriasis patches in new places.
