Avatar f tn I went to a Muscul/Skeletal center, there I was diagnosed with reheumatoid arthritis, He also did other test and said I tested positive for Lupus , but because of the lack of other systems he didn't think I had that , also mild back flow of left heart valve. Treatment was a shot of cortisone in each hip and priscribed Meloxicam 1 day for 6 weeks this all helped a great deal.
Avatar n tn While these things will not help if you have severe depression, they may help alot if it's mild to moderate. You and your doc. could always opt for an anti-depressant as well. As persnick says, exercise also helps...... Sorry you're so blue......
Avatar f tn This is probably mild depression (but just because it's mild, doesn't mean it's to be ignored or that it doesn't matter - mild depression can become severe depression). It is a completely understandable response to your situation. I would recommend seeing a counsellor or psychologist or some kind of therapist, who knows cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT).
Avatar n tn After my father passed away, the depression got severe. Before the mild depression I did any street drug that was around me, only purchased twice. But, never got addicted to the meth, coke, weed, u name it.
200220 tn?1361955154 I have mixed feelings about that. Sometimes the depression is mild and I keep it pushed back. Sometimes it comes screaming to the front and I am in a black, negative place. Last week I actually came out and told my wife the only reason I was still breathing was because I couldn't stand the thought of her and my boys suffering for years because I was weak and selfish, but there are times I just want to end it. She wasn't surprised. She has been worrying about it for a long time.
Avatar n tn Be optimistic, your result should be negative. Did you have negative results during tx? My doctor told me that if you have negative at 12 weekes you probably are one of the SVR, I was negative at 12 and 24 month but trubled with depression and anxiety. No other important side effects. For me "depression" sounds morescary that hep C. I know many people living a normal life with hep C although they didn't do any treatment. The treatment improve our chance to survive, I hope.
Avatar f tn I understand that St John's Wort works for people with mild depression, so it may be worth a try. I have never tried it myselof. It is recommended it is not taken in conjunction with anti depressant medication, as it can cause problems. Seems you and I have been much the same over the years. When I went through my menopause at 42 I was put on HRT for 13 years, and that worked well for me.

Avatar n tn I fear that it reinforces the problem when actually his symptoms are mild and maybe he is just who he is. Is therapy recommended for all diagnosed children with aspergers and it the goal of treatment to be proactive for problems down the road. Could it be that he is just a child with aspergers who will make it in this world without intervention? At the same time I do not want to ignore the issue and have something serious happen.

Avatar n tn I, too, experience epidsodic burning skin pain as well as muscle aches, fatigue and depression. Symptoms come and go and I can't seem to correlate symptoms with anything. Over the years I have been to a number of doctors, had MRI's and many different blood tests, etc.--all normal. I never have felt as if any doctor has taken my concerns seriously and that is discouraging. One doc told me I have fibromyalgia and he prescribed muscle relaxers that made me so dopey I quit taking them.
462085 tn?1207282930 I would like to know whether there is a good chance these symptoms will subside by themselves naturally. I am also trying to figure out where my symptoms fit in in the general scale from mild to severe. Here is my short story: I just turned 46. Never have had a panic attack until 2 weeks ago. I have a stresful job and have always handled it fine. I had been a smoker on and off until 2 weeks ago. I drink 2-3 glass of wine probably every other day.

Avatar n tn I have been diagnosed with Adult ADD and depression and anxiety. I have mild anxiety that manifests itself in constant worrying about "what if's" usually related to something happening to my children. I also get very obsessive in my thoughts, such as if I see something tragic in the media. I am currently taking 20 mg. of dexedrine for the ADD. I see much improvement in my attention and ability to follow through on tasks and concentrate.
Avatar f tn It last for about five mins. I have normal to low blood pressure. I sufffer from mild depression which comes and goes. I am very lucky as I seem to be able to do anything BUT run. At the moment I am with depression, time of the year? Not wanting social interaction nor cope with committed things to do. I had this for a short time 15 years ago when coping with a deep depression. Thanks for taking my question.
Avatar n tn (the above would be a good description of very severe Refractory Depression. Your depression may only be mild to moderate in which case your symptoms may not be as bad) Keep in mind that even Mild to moderate depression can still be difficult to live with unless properly treated. As for Severe Depression.... Meds are simply not a choice, they are an absolute nessesity if you want to stay alive.
Avatar f tn my 15 year old suffers from depression and anxiety but because of a history of suicide in our family doctors are hesitant to give her meds. i don't like the idea of my daughter taking anti depressants but her sadness overwhelms the entire family. she is in therapy but i don't think its helping. i feel like she is disappearing right before my eyes. why would someone feel hopeless without reason?

Avatar n tn Hi, I think that I've suffered with depression since I was 12 years old. My symptoms tend to not only manifest themselves in the way I percieve myself but also physically. I spent many years pretending that not being able to sleep at night and sleeping the day away was normal; at times I suffer from sever back pain, headaches, upset stomaches and fatigue. I was wondering wether or not this is a hyreditary condition that I am suffering from.
353964 tn?1238853319 I tried talking to my mom about how worried I was, but she just told me that its probably a physical symptom of depression since I have been to the ER multiple times with various symptoms and healthy test results. I understand that she doesn't want me to rack up hospital bills ( which i've already begun to do) by constantly visiting the ER. However I'm starting to think shes no longer taking me seriously.
Avatar f tn those are all the symptoms of depression. I suggest you ask your doctor to treat you, or refer you to someone who can treat you, with talk therapy along with the medications..that is the only way you will be able to figure out what happened and at the same time deal with your depression.
