Avatar m tn I am a 37 yo male. I have not been diagnosed but the doc says my MRIs and clinical symptoms suggest MS. I started taking Betaseron a couple of months ago. If it is MS, then I'm on my way to managing it. If it's not MS then my body is just getting some extra interferon. I have weird feelings over tingling, buzzing, numbness, swallowing, etc just about eveyday. It is worse during the week and better on the weekends. I may be alleric to work.
Avatar m tn I am a gay male and I find in depression I need more "attention" I find untouchable straight males more attractive. Then get depressed they are untouchable. God forbid one responded the way it plays out in my mind. But yeah I have to agree sexuality is a blurry line. It is the risk that is the turn on not the preference. When I am running normal I find straight men rude and annoying (no offense but I do). Don't get my warped mind started on the ladies.

Cymbalta had the side effect of eliminating my sex drive and performance to zero. So I saw a urolgist and got my testosterone checked, it was low normal, but he still prescribed Testim.
Avatar dr m tn It’s commonly known that women going through menopause experience hot flashes, night sweats, moods swings, irritability, insomnia and weight gain, but these same symptoms are known to occur in men as well. They generally occur in men in their 40s to 50s, thought to be due to slowly decreasing testosterone levels, along with other symptoms such as loss of sexual desire or functioning, depression, memory loss, or chronic fatigue.
Avatar n tn He suggested I had depression. I've had chronic anxiety but don't feel depressed. We've tried a few SNRI's. It's been 2 1/2 months since tests results. I still have all my symptoms and fatigue is worse than ever. I stopped taking diet pills and vitamins. I respect and like my doctor a lot but really feel like it might be a hormone problem. 572651 tn?1531002957 I too think women are dismissed very often. But, as we know, it absolutely happens to men. I also think that there is a lot of advertisement where women's health is concerned, warning signs, commercials, etc., however, when you finally decide to go to the Dr. for it to get a good check, it's as if they've not been see the ads, read the articles, etc., (especially where the heart is concerned). Avatar n tn I am curious about the effects of HCV and Tx on sexual function in men. Various articles have described erectile dysfunction and low libido as a result of HCV, interferon tx, and/or liver damage. The biggest factor seems to be the HCV itself, and several controlled studies have been done looking at variables like liver damage, viral load, interferon history, etc. It seems that about 35% to 40% of men with HCV have regular erectile issues, regardless of the other factors.
1211508 tn?1343083205 I am a 39 y/o male, father of a 2 1/2 year old boy that I love. I used to love playing sports and was very competitive. For about a year now I just lost my "drive" to play. For one, some of the games I would play are too taxing on me now and I get out of breath a lot easier than I did when I was younger. Not much you can do about that. 40 year olds don't have the energy levels of 25 year olds. Fact of life and I can live with that.

Avatar n tn Low libido can be a number of things, I'm a woman, but observing my boyfriend helps me understand why it happens in men. (Sorta) Low libido can be caused by stress or depression as your doctor has mentioned. However it can also be caused by not enough exercise, poor diet as well as low blood flow. Another cause could be that your currently bored with sex or life in general. Try some new things in the bedroom and outside! Low self-esteem may also be a cause.
Avatar m tn I think you need to seek the help of a psychiatrist for your symptoms and I recommend that you get evaluated for depression. I definitely see a problem with your health just as you do, but there is nothing more that can be offered to you from an endocrine point of view and no hormonal treatment is going to relieve your symptoms. I would also urge you to try meditation and/or yoga to reduce stress.
Avatar m tn I am also having these images of this gay male having anal sex with other men and this causing them to bleed rectally. I have been having difficulty sleeping for more than a few hours at a time, even with the Ambien. I know I need to see a therapist and just can’t believe I engaged in this.
