Avatar f tn I know exactly how you feel. I have a 6 year old and a 20 month old. I'm pregnant with my third. My husband and I were apart for 2 &1/2 years for personal reasons. During that time, things changed so much and there was a lot of fighting due to trust issues and the distance between us. I couldn't travel to see him often due to work and then due to being pregnant with our son and health issues due to the pregnancy.

He's a contractor and I have an eBay store and also do some cleaning. Our kids are a 15 year old girl, a 13 year old boy and a 8 year old boy. We also have a dog. So that's me in a nutshell. I lead a high stress life.

Avatar n tn t want to do it), feelings of watching myself or being with myself (quite often) and not being able to sleep at all. Is my diagnosis correct asfarasmy symptoms being caused by depression as a result of my divorce. Will I ever get better? I'm scared!
Avatar n tn m now wondering if perhaps my symptoms are due to depression or are perhaps exacerbated because of depression. My question is can depression be a purely physical disease? In other words, can one have depression without feeling 'sad' emotionally? I've always been a happy, optimistic person. I have no other major stressors in my life, aside from my present illness. I'm a 30 y/o male with no history of any serious illness. I'm in good shape and have a good social life.

Avatar f tn You aren't guaranteed to get PPD but you have a higher risk...especially if your pre-existing depression is not being controlled....I have depression, i've never had ppd.... Matter of fact my kids are the one thing that keep me from getting too depressed....when i start to feel bad i think about what my kids would go through if they lost me and it pretty well helps me to snap right back.
Avatar n tn How to deal with depression when your pregnant? I have two kids and a third on the way. We were suppose to be getting married! Our kids being an official family. He was cheating all alone. Now, he's angry and left. I'm at high risk because of complete placenta previa. So, I'm off work until my placenta either shifts or I go into labor. What do I do? Help me!
Avatar n tn The symptoms of numbness and tingling and skin sensations are symptoms of anxiety and depression. If you suffer from anxiety and depression, you are sure to experience these symptoms. So these symptoms are related to anxiety and depression and not childbirth as such. You are likely to experience the symptoms if you have anxiety and depression without childbirth also. Please keep yourself free from stress and be happy with the baby. Please consult a psychotherapist for help.

Avatar f tn Almost 29 weeks, and feel like Im falling into depression, I've been off work since March, my son & I lost our house since I wasn't working & couldn't afford rent. We're staying at a shelter to help us get into affordable housing, my dad found out and has been doing nothing but say horrible things that I can't support my kids, and those poor kids don't even have a house of their own.
Avatar n tn Can this be depression ? does anybody experience anything like these before? Can my headaches come from the comp. monitor ? I have feeling of sadness and fair. Now , when im back on computer somehow i feel normal, but otherwise it's really wierd. please i need help..
Avatar n tn Recently for spring break he and his sister spent one week with his cousins (my sister-in-law, they have 3 kids 13year old, 10 year old, and 8year old) These five kids are very close. Since my son came back from spring break, he has not smiled. He cries every now and then, (you can tell the sadness in his face), not talking to us that much.. only answers questions. He had a blast for one week, and now he's home and has to go to school and etc. I don't know how to confort him.
7677085 tn?1395374075 I've always had problems with depression, since as far back as I can remember. As much as rest and relaxing is important, my doctor tells me to keep busy. Even if I'm just writing or I doodle. Lol. I know its much harder with a child around. But maybe try and do stuff that would involve them. There's always the therapy option, I used to be to proud for it but its nice to be able to talk to someone that honestly doesn't care or retain it. I go there to complain.
Avatar n tn Distract yourself, get out a little, do fun activities with your kids, go to the park, walk, listen to music, get pretty like do your makeup and hair.

2190999 tn?1504988891 I have read that one difference between general depression and bipolar depression is a persons energy level. It's a matter of feeling unable to perform even the simplest daily tasks because of overwhelming fatigue, instead of the general depressive sadness, hopelessness, ambivalence, etc. Does that make sense to anyone? Another difference is the depth of depression. The suicide rate for bipolar disorder is considerably higher than general depression rates.
Avatar f tn Dr needs to know because you also are at risk for ppd if it is depression. Look up symptoms of prenatal or antenatal depression. Its rare but its real. I suggest go to counseling, it is super helpful. Its hard when other people don't understand and think its in your head or you caused it. Yes it may be hormones causing it but it sounds like its affecting the way you function. Keep exercising and eating healthy, get enough sleep.

Avatar f tn I deal with it very often. I have a 10 year old stepson that I argue with every day. I also have a daughter that is almost 2 and I am scared she is going to be left out because I have the 10 yr old and the newborn to take care of. It really depresses me. I just get out the house and get around more positive people, play with my daughter to give her as much attention as possible, and when it gets to bad I ask for my sister or my husband to take the kids so I can get some sleep.
Avatar f tn Ok, I just answered a young girl on the Depression forum. If kids are going to post on this web site, then they need a forum for ages under 13, with a moderator.
