Common Questions and Answers about Depression symptoms kidney stones

depression

Avatar m tn Hello, Since the kindey stone is 7 mm, so the symptoms seem unrelated to the kidney stones. Since you are having pedal or leg edema, hence your cardiac, liver and kidney functions need to be assessed for which I suggest you to consult a physician immediately. Abdominal causes like irritable bowel syndrome can also cause such symptoms. Common symptoms include abdominal cramping or pain, bloating and gassiness, and altered bowel habits(alternate constipation and loose stools).
Avatar f tn I'm not a doctor, but do have too much experience with kidney stones. For me, I'd get pings and pangs in my kidney as well as microhematuria (blood you cannot see by eye) in my urine when I have stones. I've also had the flank pain you describe .. for me it's been in the lower back. I hope with lots of water your stones move out for you uneveventfully. Please keep in touch. From what I've read stones <5.0mm usually move out on their own with a high % of non-complications, etc.
Avatar n tn The difference this time is that I have had a problem with erections ever since my kidney stone symptoms started. My urine calcium is 416, my blood calcium is 10.2, and my PTH is 23. Wondering if I have hyperparathyroidism? My urologist put me on thiazide and wants me to watch sodium intake-I'm not a salt person anyway so this is easy. My blood pressure seems to be creeping up a bit as well. I would appreciate any help!
Avatar f tn Since there are several posts on Kidney stones, Id like to share my research results that could possibly afford relief to kidney stone sufferers. I am a recently retired ICU RN and I did not realize until now how important Magnesium is in our lives. Its important to know whats the right kind to take as well. This knowledge could help so many people out there .. if they only knew so I wanted to help spread the word......
Avatar f tn Please help me my mom has had mutiplaying kidney stones now for about a year on both sides of her kidneys, which also are causing blockage. She has had a history of kidney stones but not so many at the same time.
Avatar n tn I have been reading many message boards and feel am self educated about kidney stones by my own body. Each kidney stone is unique in severity of pain. The bigger ones don't always have bigger pain. The largest I have passed was5 ml. I just dont know what to do anymore. Im tired of passing them, tired of being in pain, tired of missing work and could be in danger of loosing my job. The painkillers are great , but takes a day or so to get back into functioning mode after taking them.
Avatar m tn It was found that my stone was calcium based and I was told to avoid all dairy products as well as some fruit and veg. There are 4 different types of kidney stones. Unfortunately, once you have had kidney stones the chances of getting another one are much higher.

1522652 tn?1291241954 I know that there is a link beginning with my chronic uti's as a child, to my severe pms as an adolecent into adulthood, and then on to my chronic kidney stones and infections as an adult, and then the loss of my kidney, as well as the problems I'm experiencing now. My question is what specific tests do I need to request to accurately check my thyroid, parathyroid, and my calcium levels? Also, are there any specific questions that I need to ask.
Avatar f tn I'm on it too, i just started with kidney stones. Also another sign of magnesium deficiency, these stones also (along with depression, schizophrenia and facial tics) run in my family. Imagine if it turns out to be the underlying problem ? I have tried every other alternative method, so lets see ! Am doing super well lately and down to bare minimum medication and, hope to leave this behind soon !
Avatar n tn Did check for kidney stones. After episode took several stool softener, lax and an enema. Finally broke it loose. Been fatigued, dry eyes and flushed. The dry eyes have been happening for a while, along with painful hands, knees, even to rub skin on hands hurt. Weird pimple type rash on back, kind of painful, itchy. Didnt tell ER about anything but the pain in side and stomach because it was acute and so bad.
Avatar n tn Yeah, I was depressed, but depression did not cause symptoms, symptoms caused depression--discomfort, restlessness and lack of sleep! I told my husband it would go away or kill me, but I would not go through someone accusing me of being a hypochondriac again. So, I learned to live with it. I was 28 yrs old. At age 34, I became pregnant, had a hell of time. Both hands went numb at about 7 months.
1832268 tn?1326819610 Breed, Age, Symptoms, Creatine, Bun, and Phorsphorus levels at time of first exam that revealed Kidney Disease, as well as End Stage Symptoms and Lab Values ( if known. ) How Quickly did the disease progress. Did the dog die naturally, or was the death assisted. I think this type of information would be very helpful to anyone and their dog, who has to deal with this disease.
Avatar f tn This is one of the most difficult things I've ever had to deal with. My beloved Gypsy is dying of kidney failure. Gypsy is a Jack Russell Terrier and she turned 18...yes 18...on Christmas Day. It's just so hard to know when it is "time." I prayed and prayed that she would give us one final parting gift and die on her own in her sleep...but she is SUCH a fighter and refused to surrender to this thing.

Avatar n tn It is good at helping the liver and kidneys eliminate toxins, helps with muscle and joint problems, and it can help precipitate crystals in joints (from arthritis), as well as help disolve gall stones and kidney stones. I have a few books on it, including one with a lot of recipes, and it is widely talked about on the web (using a web search). The best kind is the unpasteurized, raw ACV with the "mother" (enzymes). It is safe to drink as it kills bacteria and many viruses.
389797 tn?1200693362 Constant nagging abdominal pain ULQ whether I eat or don't, I also have anxiety, sweats (no fever), tremors, and lower back pain. Symptoms were occasional at first but are now almost daily. I wake up in a sweat (which seems different from a hot flash) and fell sick until I have a stool. First stool may be semi-solid, about an hour after eating throughout the day, stools are watery and yellow. I force myself to eat as I have NO appetite.

1216899 tn?1288573925 However, I've heard that vitamin D can definitely have a positive impact on mood disorders such as anxiety and depression. Hey, if after only 3 weeks your symptoms are reduced 10-15% it sounds as if you might get a lot better as your D levels rise.
Avatar m tn So according to test results, I have no kidney infection and no kidney stones because according to my doctor, kidney stones will show some trace of blood in my detailed urine exam. Also note that during the episode of my back/kidney ache, my chest pain was very little to almost gone. Although they came back a little bit but not to the point that i would go crazy.
Avatar m tn Age 19 Summer- Pain in lower back, presumed to be kidney pain. Eventual blood in urine and extreme pain assumed to be kidney stones but no stones ever seen. Blockage in one kidney is documented by ultrasound. Treated with Prednisone for a month and the blockage cleared. Age 19 Winter- DVT in left leg causing immense pain. Hospitalization and a surgical procedure to clear out the clot. Heparin for the first few weeks and then Coumadin for 6 months.

865758 tn?1285956504 Also, I have to say that I have kidney stones, gallstones (gallbladder removed 4/24/09), a cyst on my adrenal gland and high triglicerides. Needless to say, a mess. I am looking into possibly having a parathyroid problem as well (not that I want one). Good luck with your diagnosis and believe me I thought I was going crazy too. Things just aren't right and we know it. To pinpoint it exactly is the hard part. Keep trying and definitely visit this site often.
