This is something you cannot ignore so please look into it even if it has nothing to do with the thyroid. One of the symptoms of hypothyroid that I know of is that your digestion slows down, this means you get more constipated and more time passes between bowel movements (which can lead to all sorts of problems by itself).
Avatar f tn YOU are not helping matters! Surprisingly hard to believe but in some men it is etched into their DNA somewhere that THEY take care of US. However others dont mind that we work but they HATE having any part of their attempt to provide for us tampered by whatever reason be it a medical condition, whatever. My husband for example is having unexplainable seizures so he cant drive. He has to depend on me to get to work and pick him up.

Avatar m tn Anxiety and Depression Chronic gut disorders are associated with higher rates of anxiety and depression. A well-publicized study in mice suggested a possible role for probiotics in reducing anxiety associated with gut inflammation (Bercik, Neurogatroenterol Motil 2011). Mice in the study had a chemically-induced inflammation of their gut and exhibited anxiety-like behavior. Giving 1 billion cells of Bifidobacterium longum NCC3001 for 1 week normalized their behavior.

Avatar n tn I have been to a clinic for five weeks to try to resolve some of these problems but the treatment and workshops seemed to me to be oriented to cocaine addiction in young men and little other advice. Avatar n tn It makes the anxiety bareable, but doesn't do much for my depression. However, there has always been one thing that has relieved all my symptoms; pain medications.
