Avatar m tn As a result, men who are depressed are more likely to talk about the physical symptoms of their depression such as feeling tired rather than symptoms related to emotions. In either case you need health insurance for your hepatitis C, liver disease or depression as these can be expensive to treat. If you don't have health insurance through your employer like most Americans than you should get a private health insurance plan.
Avatar m tn Hi. ED is not a natural condition in young men but it is common. The main causes of ED include anxiety, stress or depression..Chronic stress and anxiety prevents the male brain from triggering the feelings of desire and suppresses the male libido. When desire and libido are depressed, the brain is unable to send signals to the heart to pump blood to the male sexual organs, and results in ED. The most common treatment for ED is medications like Viagra, Cialis, or Levitra.
Avatar n tn According to blood tests, his thyroid levels are now where they should be, but he is still experiencing symptoms of hypothyroid. Most of the symptoms he is still suffering with seem to be mental in nature - depression, irritability, and 'brain fog'. He is in the I.T. field (mainly database stuff) and these symptoms have severely hampered his ability to work. He can't seem to focus or problem-solve. This has been a nightmare for both of us. Is this normal?

Avatar m tn m close to the mirror (unsure if this is the early stage of wart formation). I also noticed a depression in that part of my face as well. Now its been about 9 days after my encounter and the redness on my face has nearly gone away but the bumps and depression remain. I would like to add, I've been acne free for years, and it does not appear to look like any sort of pimple I would have gotten.
Avatar m tn 90% of all infected clear the virus within 6-24 months. That you are young works in your favor. Clearing the virus means you just are not infectious at that time, not that its gone. You can have a healthy baby and after the warts are gone for awhile, wearing a condom gives your partner a 50% chance of not getting what you have and not getting a strain they have. Of course, if your partner is sexually active herself, she probably has been exposed to it.
Avatar m tn 1) Is pelvic pain in men a normal symptom of chlamydia, or an indication that something else is going on? and 2) How long after taking azithromycin should I look for the symptoms to be clear? (I've read some swelling and pain may persist after the infection is clear.) Thank you very much for your help.

Because you have the number one risk factor, being a smoker, you need to get checked out. Call a local hospital and ask about your situation, they may have a program for you, but don't wait until it's too late.

Avatar m tn There’s nothing wrong with you. And, no, it's not just older men who experience this. In fact, erections come and go and have a mind of their own! You’ve just convinced yourself there’s something amiss, and now you’ve created a viscous circle. As soon as your penis didn’t do exactly what you wanted, you started to worry. Sex is all about what’s going on in your head. The more you worry, the more your penis isn’t going to cooperate. In fact, it can be downright rebellious! You need to relax.
Avatar n tn First of all, when a man has a vasectomy, he may feel lingering pain for quite some time, which, of course, may affect his desire for sex. It's difficult to get turned on when you're in pain. In addition, some men find they need a period of time to adjust to the idea of vasectomy--not being able to produce children. Even if they feel fine about it before the surgery, they might be beset by thoughts that they've somehow become less masculine afterwards.
