Avatar n tn I think depression can be a combination of things - both physical and emotional. I used to get mind blowing headaches, which was partly caused by my depression, and then because I had them, it made me feel emotionally worse. It's a nasty cycle. From what you've described, you've been under a ton of stress, getting married is up there in the stress meter! I know when I've been ill, which I went through recently, it sure made my mood drop.
Avatar m tn I am a pretty emotional guy, with some already present anxiety issues and emerging from depression earlier this year. So, this is going to be extra tough. Hang in there with me guys! Thanks again. Congrats to all of you who are a step ahead of me, you give me hope!
Avatar f tn Depression is pretty much individualized. Some symptoms are prevalent in some people while other symptoms are prevalent in others. There are so many symptoms, but I'll list what I was affected by. Destructive behavior, quit doing things I enjoyed, slept way too much, ate horribly, put myself in seclusion, head aches, feeling lonely, etc.... it really went on much more than that. Speak to your doctor. Help is available.
Avatar f tn To top it off I just started working straight nights. In the past after working 3 nights (12 hour shifts) in a row, I would be exhausted, but after a day of recovery, felt pretty good. Now after just 2 nights, it takes me days to recover. I feel like all I've done is sleep and eat the last week, yuck! Anyone else constantly hungry yet slightly nauseous? I used to have a sweet tooth, but now all I crave is salty, fatty foods!
1054985 tn?1257173275 I had my first episode which involved tingling in the left side of body and vision problems. Those symptoms have yet to come back, its been 5 months. However I seem to be twitching more (toes, legs, head, fingers, torso...), I am very tired, have bits of depression. Are these symptoms or just the disease itself? I guess the question is this an episode or just minor things that MS cause. Is a person with MS tired all the time or just during episodes?
Avatar n tn While Major depressive dissorders can effect the body in many physical ways, I have never heard of "physical Depression" without mental depression. Maybe something I have never heard of before.
Avatar f tn I began suffering with symptoms of tiredness and weakness in September 2007. Since then I have suffered from symptoms including nausea and vomiting, intermittant diarrhoea, extreme tiredness (I can sleep up to 16 hours solid), fainting, muscle cramps and stiffness, loss of appetite, itchy skin which comes out in a rash if I scratch, and weight loss which has accelerated over the last few weeks.
Avatar n tn Ok, So I was diagnosed in December 2012, after suffering symptoms of blurred vision, short term memory problems, and fatigue. I've had two mri's, the initial mri and one also to check for flow which wasn't too great. Then in January, my husband and I found that we were expecting our 3rd child which meant surgery had to wait, but also since I was able to manage my symptoms with a daily nap and had plenty of energy that surgery was up to me.

480331 tn?1310403529 I never dealt with it personally, but I know a lot of women who have and it can be devastating. I wish more doctors would start discussing the signs and symptoms early in pregnancy so that women know what to look for.

In most cases (not all) if a person is suffering from Severe Depression, then the symptoms are so God awful horrifing and uncomfortable that they will do almost anything to make it stop. This includes going to see a doctor. In some cases Depression sufferers will suffer in silence and resist treatment. This is usually out of shame about admitting that they have a Mental Illness.
Avatar f tn Though much more rarely I also feel pressure in my hands and face. The more I think about this symptoms, the more I feel them. Sometimes I also feel random bites all over my body. Avatar m tn All of your symptoms are all good signs of depression/anxiety disorders. I have been struggling with this most of my life, off and on since I was 14 (now 23). Don't let if fool you, it may come and go for a while and doctors may say that you have "bi-polar disorder". I don't believe in prescription antidepressants or anti-anxiety medication, as I have tried a multitude of them in my teen years and none of them helped.
