depression

Avatar f tn Do you think it could be depression? I had similar physical symptoms, like joint pain and headaches, trouble sleeping and the forgetfulness. The anxiety and feeling unmotivated go hand in hand with depression as well. Most people who are diagnosed with one are diagnosed with the other. Also have you been to see your doc about it? And how long have have symptoms been going on?

Avatar n tn I am 26 years old and was diagnosed with RA approximately 4 years ago although I had first shown symptoms at least 7 years ago. On being diagnosed, I was put on methotrexate. I am still taken this (12.5mg) in combination with etanercept. I have for the past year or so been suffering from an inability to find words and finish sentences.
Avatar f tn It has four or five stages, but not every migraine goes through every stage. At any rate, the last stage, postdrome I think it is called, often includes symptoms that effect mood and focus. If I recall, some common (and even some uncommon) things that occur after a migraine headache can be: fatigue lowered intellect mood shifts (either depression or elation) poor comprehension and concentration If one combines lowered intellect with poor concentration, memory loss seems reasonable to me.

Avatar f tn I was recently diagnosed with a vitamin D level of 8. My symptoms prior to diagnosis were so varied and myriad, that I honestly just chalked it up to being a worrier or hypochondriac. The physical achiness and fatigue is awful, but I can cope. What crushes me is the mental part; the lack of focus/concentration and downright forgetfulness.
Avatar m tn Fatigue, sleepiness, confusion, depression, irritability, personality changes, forgetfulness, slurred speech, tremors (shakes), and problems with balance may occur. As the condition worsens, patients become more sleepy and eventually lapse into a coma. Some patients with encephalopathy develop a peculiar odor on their breath (fetor hepaticus) from the toxins. All patient with moderate to severe HE should be evaluated for liver transplant.
Avatar f tn s best not to have to take clonazepam, but if your parents did not take clonazepam, then obviously their dementia was not due to clonazepam. Now, sometimes clonazepam can cause symptoms of forgetfulness that mimic dementia, but those symptoms should go away when the clonazepam is discontinued. Forgetfulness is considered to be a "cognitive side effect" of longterm clonazepam use. It doesn't go away immediately upon stopping the clonazepam.
1039200 tn?1314912008 I often think that some symptoms are because people are being over-medicated but sometimes it is the opposite and the symptoms are there because people are under-medicated. It is something an experienced doctor needs to sort out. Meds can be paradoxical. Is ironic that one can be given to treat anxiety or depression but that anxiety and depression can also be a side-effect of it. Sounds messed up. Is a wonder they even work at all. It sounds like it could be from both.
6150006 tn?1496080243 As I was getting worse daily, there was no question for me about the surgery. My primary symptoms were double vision, confusion, memory loss, forgetfulness of common everyday words, hearing loss, loss of balance & coordination. I am now wondering if some other strange things were related. I seldom take any narcotics, Valium helps me sleep well, fioricet helps the headaches which are daily but bearable 95% of the time.
Avatar f tn Hello, Deficiency of vitamin B 12 can cause anemia, fatigue, palpitations, headache, numbness or 'pins and needles' and decrease your sensitivity to touch, vibration or pain. It can also cause confusion, depression, poor concentration and forgetfulness. To treat vitamin B 12 deficiency take a diet rich in vitamin B12 diet like a non veg diet and meat and liver products. If the levels are low, then you may need to take injections of vitamin B12 as well.

Avatar f tn Hello, Over the past year I have been dealing with multiple symptoms that have seemed to have all begun around the same time. I went to South Africa, Namibia, and Botswana doing some volunteer work and when I got home (after 6 months abroad) I began to experience the symptoms that I am about to list below. It has been about 1.5 years since my first trip and I had to cut my second trip this year short due to these symptoms and the severity that I was experiencing.
Avatar n tn The symptoms of numbness and tingling and skin sensations are symptoms of anxiety and depression. If you suffer from anxiety and depression, you are sure to experience these symptoms. So these symptoms are related to anxiety and depression and not childbirth as such. You are likely to experience the symptoms if you have anxiety and depression without childbirth also. Please keep yourself free from stress and be happy with the baby. Please consult a psychotherapist for help.
Avatar m tn There isn't always a clear cut reason as to why one is depressed. Have you spoken to your doctor about this? It sounds like he needs to up your dosage on the Cymbalta or change medications completely. You do have all the symptoms of depression, but your meds aren't doing their job. This is very common, and sometimes it's trial and error as to what will work best for you, and your needs.
