Avatar f tn Can no-one out there tell me how long the symptoms for this problem are liable to last? I posted my question 5 hours ago and it is one of the very few that have received no reply. I realise that it may be a bit of a 'how long is a piece os string' type question but I would really appreciate some idea on what we ar looking at here.
Avatar n tn The literature suggests there is no "cure" and that the condition is permanant. Nevertheless my "little one" developed such symptoms at age 99, when I discontinued her psychiatric meds. The symptoms gradually disappeared and ceased to exist when she was 102 years old She is now 106 years old.
Avatar m tn If it is arteritic then large doses of oral cortison are needed to get the sed rate down. The section on emedicine is especially good. If its non-arteritic there is no treatment for the eye problem and visual recovery is usually good. Again emedicine entry is excellent.
Avatar f tn m scared that I will get antipsychotic-withdrawal-induced tardive dyskenisia. What are the symptoms of withdrawal and how would withdrawal TD manifest itself? Can anyone who has tapered-off antipsychotics tell me about their experience? I am also afraid that I might not be stable enough with only lithium, which would make my psychiatrist want to put me back on Seroquel, which I DO NOT want.
Avatar n tn m now wondering if perhaps my symptoms are due to depression or are perhaps exacerbated because of depression. My question is can depression be a purely physical disease? In other words, can one have depression without feeling 'sad' emotionally? I've always been a happy, optimistic person. I have no other major stressors in my life, aside from my present illness. I'm a 30 y/o male with no history of any serious illness. I'm in good shape and have a good social life.

A Baker's cyst is a fluid filled swelling behind your knee that may occur from an injury , arthritis meniscal tear of the knee. You can find more information on many on the web. There are some causes of this that are not ultra serious but the serious causes need to be ruled out first. You can read more about TIA on WebMD or emedicine.

Avatar n tn No problems with tongue, throat, etc. My lips are still the same today. My eyes feel slightly irritated, but no other symptoms except slightly swollen abdomen. I'm 61, 5'5", 108 lbs. Is this angioedema? What is in these drugs that is the causative agent? The only other drug that has ever given me a problem was a sulfa NSAID and 3rd dose gave me hives all over my abdomen. Should I follow up with a dermatologist about this?
