Avatar f tn You are having classic symptoms of both depression and anxiety disorders. You are not unique as myself and others here can definitely relate to the stress, hopelessness, pain and frustration. You mentioned that you were seeking counseling. Is this with a psych specialist? Have you been given a formal diagnosis? There is help available through therapy and/or medication. You don't have to, nor were you meant to live this way.
Avatar n tn Following a root canal I have been taking amoxicillin 500 mg for an infection in my gums. I am having body aches continually - worse after just taking the meds. Can't find any info on this as a side effect. I also took my monthly Actonel pill 2 days after root canal. Is there any problem with taking both? Have 3 more days of amoxicillin. Any suggestions?
Avatar n tn Bowel and bladder symptoms include frequency of micturition, urine leakage, eye symptoms like double vision uncontrollable rapid eye movements, facial pain, painful muscle spasms, tingling, burning in arms or legs, depression, dizziness, hearing loss, fatigue etc. The treatment is essentially limited to symptomatic therapy so the course of action would not change much whether MS has been diagnosed or not.

Avatar n tn HELLO TO EVERYONE! HOPE EVERYONE IS DOING GOOD. I TOOK MY LAST SHOT ON 1/27/06 AND MY LAST RIBIVIRIAN ON 2/3/06. WITHIN 7 TO 10 DAYS I WAS FEELING LIKE I WAS A NEW PERSON. I COULD NOT BELEIVE HOW QUICKLY I FELT SO GOOD, ENERGY AND ALL. THIS LASTED UNTIL 2/24/06 AND SINCE THEN MY WHOLE BODY HURTS ALL THE TIME. MY NECK, SHOULDERS, LEGS, ARMS AND SOME OTHER PLACES. I DO NOT HAVE ANY OTHER SYMPTOMS OTHER THEN STABBING PAIN ON THE SIDES AND ABOVE MY EYES ON MY HEAD. THESE COME AND GO.

Avatar n tn 24AM regarding these symptoms as depression needs to be removed. I play tennis and have these symptoms increasingly as I age after a hard game and have muscle pain. I do not like to take meds, therefore a hot bath and much rest is usually what improves my condition, and I think I am also depleted in vitamins and electrolytes. My muscle pain and fatique is most likely related to allergies or a missing nutrient.
Avatar n tn While reading this and other forums, why are there so many symptoms attributed to this disease? Dry skin, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, sensitive eyes, exhaustion, muscle aches, depression, weight gain, hair loss etc, etc. How does a sluggish thyroid or lack of thyroid hormone affect so many different bodily functions?
Avatar n tn Fatigue Weakness Weight gain or increased difficulty losing weight Coarse, dry hair Dry, rough pale skin Hair loss Cold intolerance (can't tolerate the cold like those around you) Muscle cramps and frequent muscle aches Constipation Depression Irritability Memory loss Abnormal menstrual cycles Decreased libido Here are also some good resources on hypothyroidism: http://www.endocrineweb.com/ http://www.cumc.columbia.

Avatar n tn I, too, experience epidsodic burning skin pain as well as muscle aches, fatigue and depression. Symptoms come and go and I can't seem to correlate symptoms with anything. Over the years I have been to a number of doctors, had MRI's and many different blood tests, etc.--all normal. I never have felt as if any doctor has taken my concerns seriously and that is discouraging. One doc told me I have fibromyalgia and he prescribed muscle relaxers that made me so dopey I quit taking them.
Avatar n tn A low thyroid level (hypothyroidism) could explain some of your symptoms. Many conditions present with these symptoms; therefore, there really is no way to tell you what is wrong. The forum is not here to make medical diagnosis but to be informational. Lacking medical insurance is a real barrier for someone without an emergency condition. You might want to call the social services office of your local hospital and see if they can direct you to a free clinic.
Avatar n tn He says he has been having anxiety attacks at work and that his body aches. Im very concerned because all he does is get up and go to work and has lost all interest in everything else (including our family). I'm trying to be understanding, but i have no idea what is going on with him. Please help.

Avatar f tn A couple comments-- low vitamin D levels can cause all kinds of strange symptoms, including chronic pain and depression. I don't think it would explain all of your symptoms, but it should be corrected, and that takes a large series of doses of Vitamin D, often in the form of injections. It is interesting that you had chronic fevers in the earlier bout with the pain, and the pain when away after your gall bladder was removed-- at least temporarily.
Avatar n tn Being hypothyroid causes lots of muscles aches it's a strong symptom. Also, you may want to check you're on the right level of meds, maybe you've become more hypo and need them increasing.
Avatar m tn anxiety and depression can cause many physical symptoms, aches, pains, loss of appetite and moodiness. maybe you need to switch to a different med. take care.
Avatar m tn There's so many things that can cause those kinds of symptoms!! It can be hard to dope out just what's responsible for it!! You know, depression can manifest itself with fatigue and/or aches and pains -- and that's without recognizing that you are depressed. Depression makes me feel like I'm made out of lead!!! And like I'm immersed in a sea of jello or something that's hard to slog through!!
Avatar f tn I just 89 years old, very fit, no aches or pains but recently I have woken in the morning with internal shaking, it seems to be in the upper part of my body. It last for about five mins. I have normal to low blood pressure. I sufffer from mild depression which comes and goes. I am very lucky as I seem to be able to do anything BUT run. At the moment I am with depression, time of the year? Not wanting social interaction nor cope with committed things to do.
Avatar f tn For the past 1 year and a half I have endured debilitating muscle aches in my neck and shoulders as well as insomnia. My doctor found no clues in my blood tests except a vitamin D deficiency which was treated and is now okay. The aches are confusing because they change-sometime they are on the left shoulder and other times they are on the right. This is why I think they may be stress related.
Avatar n tn pain/aches in my muscles (legs and arms mostly), weakness in legs at times, headaches, some occasional dizziness, twitching feeling and cold sensitivity on occasion. The TSH results are within normal ranges, so my doctor hasn't suggested hypothyrodism is the culprit, but maybe there's another marker to check as well? I don't want to start taking medication but would do about anything to alleviate these issues. This all started about 9 months ago.
Avatar f tn m. - (takes me forever to get ready! ha!) - now have begun experiencing muscle aches - back of thigh - foot, arm etc. Supposedly my thyroid meds are "in line" with how the endo wants them - I feel tired all the time (when I get up in the a.m. sometimes I could just go back to bed) no energy. How long will this last? - Also have started to "whine" about every little thing - I never used to be a whiner! Help please.
Avatar n tn also, depression can give one flu like symptoms, fatigue, weakness, aches etc. let him know that there is no shame in getting treatment, quite the opposite-- one is courageous when they decide to face the illness.
