depression

953190 tn?1276516034 re depressed again, I would definitely go back on this medication. Always keep in mind that every medication works differently in different individuals. Every situation and body is unique, so go by what you know has worked for you.
Avatar f tn Protozan is an herbal used for depression, and amoryn a natural formula for depression. These remedies are not regulated like medications, although they are starting to look closer at them. They may have some serious side effects that are unknown, and I would avoid them. If you feel depressed, I agree that you need to see a psychiatrist to determine this, and he would know if medication is needed or maybe just therapy or both.
Avatar f tn I am currently looking for a new depression medication. I need some info on something that is NOT a SSRI, a hormone, and is not zoloft, celexa, or prozac......also something that does not contain salicylic acid aka aspirin. If anyone can help I would appreciate the help.
Avatar m tn He was very good and after a couple of meetings he prescribed me with medication for what he called a chemical imbalance in my brain that caused depression. The meds worked and I definitely wasn't as sad most of the time. So for seven years I've taken meds. More recently I've started to feel, emotionless and even angry (on the inside). Im not suicidal like I was in middle school, but I definitely don't feel good.
Avatar m tn If you are taking medication for depression does that make your system take longer to ejaculate and also make it harder to gain an erection?
Avatar m tn t really noticed a difference in my anxiety or depression. Should i be giving it longer or start to think about changing meds. Also Ive noticed alot of people on here take Klonopin for anxiety rather than Valium. I don't think we get Klonopin here in Australia. Ive been taking Valium 5mg in the morning to help but im worried that it will be hard to come off or it will stop working. I really need some help with this as im losing hope with these meds.
Avatar f tn You should probably see your GP again and see if taking the medication helps with your memory. Also, exercise can help depression (and accordingly memory) a great deal so see if you can't increase how much you exercise. I hope this is helpful.
Avatar f tn Im on medication for depression and anxiety. Also occasionally I have a sedative in case I go bizzercerz. Would that hurt my child more than stress would?
Avatar f tn It depends on which medication, there are some that are safe. Ive been having issues with it, because ive already taken all the ones that are safe at one point and there are very few that are safe.
366811 tn?1217422672 Most excellent suggestion by FMXSMKR to put the "common" name by the medication. Would also suggest that all generic names be included. I don't know if they would want to get into adding the names from other countries like Canada and the UK, but we do get a lot of posters from these countries and many of the same meds have vastly different names. Just a thought.
Avatar f tn Are there ANY anxiety/depression meds that are allowed to take during pregnancy?
Avatar f tn does anyone know anything about celexa? for depression I have been on wellbution 300 mg lexapro paxil ... i can't find anything that continues to work for my depression. It seems to work for a little while and then stops. Or maybe it's just me? my diagnosis is bipolar 2 although sometimes I think it's bipolar1 with depression. Avatar m tn I have been taking Amitriptyline for a while for depression and pain but 6 weeks ago I suffered a stroke and my depression is worse so was given Sertraline along with the other.
Avatar f tn Are there ANY anxiety/depression meds that are allowed to take during pregnancy?
Avatar f tn I assume you mean you're taking an antidepressant and you feel it has affected your ability to focus and concentrate? If so, if the drug is new to you this might go away. If it's not new to you and this has been going on for awhile, it might be that this med isn't the right one for you. You might want to bring this up with your psychiatrist.
1782605 tn?1342114339 Does any generic or other cheaper medication exist than the one for $ 35.
1925135 tn?1323307656 When I was diagnosed with type 2 diabetes I went through several medications before I found 1 that fit me - I am a non insulin dependent diabetic .
Avatar f tn Hope you find a peaceful place and work out if the medication is the best for you. Did you tell your doctor that you had stopped taking it before?
2105456 tn?1334365047 the medication is to control the symptoms of depression, and not cure it. But often with therapy and medication you can move beyond the depression. Depression is often caused by past events in our life which were traumatic but we never truly dealt with them. When this happens, it rears it's ugly head in the form of depression and/or anxiety. With therapy we can learn "if" this is the cause of our depression...deal with it and move on.
Avatar f tn I too am taking 50mcg Levothyroxine for the past couple of months and have fell through a depression. My Endocrinologist gave me a prescription for 100mcg Levothyroxine and I have taken it and now I am to the point that I am crying. I was diagnosed Hypothyroid 2 years ago but I have been fine not taking any medication and my doctor told me I must take the meds and now I am depressed because of it.
Avatar n tn I do not know the "brand" names you referring to but if either is a beta blocker then it is common from one, especially when first starting, to have some fatigue and even lightheaded feelings. Shortness of breath could also be a side effect I believe. It is best to discuss the side effects with your prescribing doctor, try to be specific, for example, I feel a shortness of breath if I walk up stairs or an incline..
1360950 tn?1277656603 Antipsychotics are often used as mood stabilizers, and some of them are really very effective for that purpose. Many patients who have never had psychotic symptoms (patients with depression which has not responded to just an antidepressant, for instance) are finding that the addition of an "atypical" or newer antipsychotic can be helpful. This is an example of the problem with names in pharmacology.
