172715 tn?1285498090 I have found myself in deep depression for the last 7 months and was taking 60mg of Cymbalta(helps depression w/ pain)for almost 2 years for Fibromyalgia pain and depression. This wasn't giving me much help so I went to a psychiatrist today who added 30mg to the Cymbalta and added Ritalin 1 in am & 1 at lunch. He said this would help boost the Cymbalta medicine into doing a better job and would give me more energy to be more physically active.
425312 tn?1279969779 I have been dealing with this issue for far too long. It is time to grow up and get a life. Stop making excuses, deal with the pain and get it over with already. I went for 6 days without having anything in my system and i thought I was going to lose my mind. I thought the muscles in my legs and arms were going to jump out through my skin, hot, cold, sweating, couldn't sit still and forget about sleep. That was February 8, 2008 to February 15, 2008.
Avatar f tn I don't even know where to start when it comes to what hurts, and what doesn't feel good. I'll just start from the beginning. When I was younger, like in elementary school, I would always hurt in random spots, and end up going to the clinic. I would have my temp taken, and no fever. Nothing was visibly wrong with me--even though I thought I had a broken knee or shoulder. I was just be sent on back to my class. That lasted until mid-way through my 8th grade year.
Avatar f tn OK, so I'm scheduled to see my 7th neuro next month. It's at an MS clinic in Indianapolis. I've heard good things about it.( It's the Indiana Center for Multiple Sclerosis (Dr Kolar runs it). Has anyone heard anything about it.) But, I'd also heard good things about the last place I went, and I didn't have a very good experience. Part of me just wants to give up on getting a diagnosis. I just don't think I can handle it emotionally if I get dismissed.

Avatar f tn Welcome to MedHelp Lyme -- we're glad to share with you what we have learned ourselves. First thing: is there hope for you? YES. Lyme is treatable and curable, tho it can be a bit of a long road. It is definitely worth pursuing! Besides feeling lousy, Lyme messes with the endocrine (hormonal) system, which can lead to depression. That will go away with treatment, so hang on.
Avatar f tn HI there - sorry to hear about your Dad. These attacks must be so debilitating. I am sorry that I know little about pancreatitis as I have Crohn's. However, I did meet through the Crohn's and Colitis Foundation of America website, a young woman in San Francisco 4 years ago and we corresponded privately, at least weekly. She had been recently diagnosed then with Crohn's but unfortunately went on to get a malignant pancreatic tumour and sadly died this past Feb at 39 yrs old.

501663 tn?1238381313 I really did not have much pain at the time other that bad headaches. I finally became very discouraged and did not even seek help for several years only just labs to check my WSR which was always 80 and above. I started having major pain in my back and legs not long after, Guess what it was (FIBRO) I was sent back to the same Rhumy that said that he could not find a reason for my ESR. Unfortunately their are not to many to choose from here.
Avatar n tn Hello, I could not get through on the ENT forum and hoped you could maybe help. I moved into the upstairs (attic conversion) of a large house 6 years ago and shortly after my nose became constantly swollen and dry (not running), and the inside nasal tissue looks quite red. Also, I began having a tremendous pressure headache 24/7, deep behind my forehead (feels like the inside of my head is asleep), and symptoms of BPPV that come and go.

Avatar n tn Welcome - we are here for you. Here's a wonderful web site that I found that taught me a lot about that little evil butterfly-shaped gland otherwise known as the THYROID: http://www.endocrineweb.com/thyroid.html Being scared is perfectly normal but, like MJ13 said, 95% of them are benign! You'll hear some scary stuff on this forum because most of us here are cancer/autoimmune disorder survivors. You've kind of got a jaded audience here. *BUT* we have lots of experience and advise.
Avatar f tn When you're old like me you don't have any help, so use that help while it's there and be thankful for it. And watch that anger -- it sounds like you're eating yourself up.
Avatar n tn I was diagnosed with Borderline PD at 19, then minor depression, then major depression, then Bipolar. Now I have (by my stupid choices) given up one of my children, my job, I am broke because I think I deserve only the best things in life, I have no friends because who wants to be friends with someone like me when all I am is pretty and smart (and sometimes I even struggle with that), I am incapable of having relationships with men, and I trust nobody.
271792 tn?1334983257 20 pm est so picks have to be in by then. The New York giants vs. The New England Patriots We will be playing as we normally do---pick the team you think will win and pick the total points of the game. Good luck everyone. Enjoy!!!!
Avatar n tn He was hospitsalized twice and each time they did a CT and I asked about the Chiari and no one would address it. They just said bad migraines and depression. I think he was depressed because he was tired of feeling so bad. Now, 5 years later he is still having severe headaches, neck and back pain. He just wants it to stop. He is weak alot and can't have too many busy days in a row without getting sick. He says he feels like the back of his head is on fire.

Avatar n tn But it did take several months post treatment to resolve the heavy flow. On another note, along with my year long post tx depression, I did feel even more 'odd' mentally for first 18 months post treatment during premenstrual time - cognitive and memory difficulties were far more pronounced during those four or five days. That also has resolved. However, I do feel more tired & a heavy feeling during those days, that were not there prior to tx.
Avatar f tn I don't know what to say as far as a anything else that could help unless you try an herb of some kind but I am not aware of one that would help for this. Do you just have nausea right now? Any vomiting? I have not thrown up with this although I feel like I could quite a bit. The unpredictable nature of this condition is what is so tough. I feel your pain.
Avatar n tn you struggling with all you have to deal with right now, I felt frustrated that I couldn't do anything to help you. Depression is tough, there's no ifs ands or buts about that and you are very depressed right now; who wouldn't be in your shoes? Please believe though that there are good therapists out there right now and good medications that can help you. Try to give yourself a break and give up the fight against those things you can't control.
Avatar f tn I'm new here, and I was hoping some of you can help me in understanding alcoholic liver disease. My husband had a biopsy done last month, we went to the follow up last week. My husband's hepatologist knows he's an alcoholic, and when we went to the follow up, he asked my husband if he drank the previous night. Husband said yes. Told us he had alcoholic liver disease according to biopsy, abstain from alcohol, eat right and exercise.

Avatar n tn He had mentioned that if he had it to do over again, he would have used different diagnostic equipment, so I can't help but think that I may simply have the wrong lens. Would I be able to find out from a different doctor with different equipment if the problem is the implanted lens, and if it is, is another exchange possible?
Avatar f tn If you feel hopefull, perhaps you will not feel as depressed. Don't be afraid to seek help for your depression as well because this too can and does effect your bodily functions in countless ways.
