I think you should talk with you doctor to see whats going on and also that you should of check out the side effects before getting on the Depo Provera shot because Deop can cause Irregular, heavy, or no bleeding are common side effects of Depo Provera. Hi, I am 17, I am on Depo Provera and am having side effects such as constant bleeding (1 month and half) and the common mood changes. The symptoms that you are having look like due to side effects of the depo shots which should get better in a few days. If it persists even after three months or the spotting is accompanied with heavy bleeding then get an evaluation done from a gynecologist.

I was on Depo for 3 years and it seems to sound as though you're dealing with the issues of the side effects of the birth control. It happens and really sometimes you get them sooner or in your case later.
Most likely, these are side effects from the Depo, but you might want to contact your health care provider and have a check up just to be sure.
Also, even when using Depo or the pill...I highly recommend condoms. Condoms not only offer additional protection against pregnancy, they also help prevent sexually transmitted infections. You or your partner can have an infection and not know it...and unknowingly pass it on.
It is important to take a calcium supplement while using depo provera. Weight gain is probably the worst side effect.

The Depo is one of the most effective birth controls on the market, but has some side effects that put women off. (I'd never personally use it. I went with a non-hormonal IUD) Side effects you might get are odd spotting, heavy/lighter than normal periods and over time no period, weight gain (this is a real common one) headaches, breast tenderness and a few other I can't think of. You can google for a proper list of side effects and the number of women who experience them.
i have tried everything, from lupron, to laparoscopies, to yaz, to smoking marijuana - currently i am on Depo Provera and have been for the past year and a half. In October, I got my first shot of Depo-Provera. I know several women on depo and they have all told me they have had the same experience: no periods, no spotting and no other side effects whatsoever. My experience has been horrible.
