it depends on why you aren't getting your period but in general its hard to get pregnant without a period because you would probably ovulate randomly but its not impossible so since you don't have a period you would need to take a pregnancy test 2 weeks after the last time you had unprotected sex

Hi, I am not sure of what type of antibiotic might affect other contraceptives like the pill, but I am pretty sure that she will be fine on the shot. I myself had the depo-provera shot about 10 years ago. I only had one shot and I didn't have a period until a whole year later. It actually took me over another year after my period returned before, I finally became pregnant. The depo-provera shot is extremely effective.

and the doc said i am to start my period 3-7 days after..Its been 10 days and still not period....I have no symptoms of starting my period either...Has anyone ever taken Provera alone and started there period after 10 days....How long does it normally take to start period?....I am really concerned if something is wrong????...please reply..any advice will help..Thank You!!!

ive been on the depo shot for a while my last one was due in Feb and i didnt take it my doctor did a pregnancy test came back neg and now im on my second round of provera also my breast and my underarms were very tender after taking provera it went away wonder when my period will start.

If you came off of the depo provera , theres no side effects when you come off of it but you may get your period back. I went off of the depo provera for 3 yrs ago and it took another 3 yrs. to get pregnant.

not sure about the breast feeding part but a lot of women on this site might agree with me to stay clear of depo-provera. I was on this bc for 2 and a half years and have been ttc for the same length of time with no joy. I was diagnosed with depression at 16 years old when i was on this, i asked the doc if that was the problem and was told no, when the depo eventually cleared from my system so did the depression my family say i was a new person.

Hello, I was just wondering if anyone out there knows anything about the long term use of Depo-Provera Contraceptive. I have been using it for a few years now, and have no plans of stopping using it anytime soon, as I am in college and will be for quite some time to come. I know that I am putting myself at risk for Osteoporosis by using it for a long time. But what I don't know is considering the fact that since being on Depo, I have had pretty much no menstrual cycle for a very long time.

I don't think you could be preg. Depo is very very affective, but if u do want to get preg then u should get off depo cause it messes u up. I was on depo for a year and a couple of months and I didn't get my period at all and now I. Off depo ad still haven't gotten my period. Me and my boy friend are TTC but I don't think I can cause I haven't had a period.

except the fact that it can weaken your bones and make you gain weight. but if you havent stopped your period in 4 months you should deff. call your dr cause that doesnt sound right at all.

I just got a shot of depo-provera birth control 3 days ago and my period was supposed to start yesterday and it hasn't. s still negative then go ask your doctor AGAIN for a blood test because your period is very late and the urine tests are coming up negative. Since you already had your period after getting off Depo then the doctor can't say it's just due to depo., and if he/she says no then find another doctor.

i have severe PCOS and have been prescribed it MANY times to induce my period. You could ask your drs for provera and clomid to induce your period then ovulation!!
