i got menstruation November 28 2010 i decided to get inject my contraceptive Depo-Provera because my husband arrival is December so got safe for 3 months..after 3 months February 13 2011 to be exact his departure...after that i dont get my Depo-Provera again i got my spotting on march and april 27 2011 a regular menstration for 5 days.Unxpected my husband got back may 24,2011 we contact to each other (sex)...

A few years ago, I was put on Depo Provera. I was taking this for about a year and only had 1 menstrual period in this entire time. I have heard that this is quite common, and it can really mess up your cycle etc. I stopped taking it and went back to the pill as soon as possible, and I was soon back to normal.

I have been on the Depo Provera shot for more than 5 years now. I read that the recommended amount of time that a young woman should be on Depo is only 2 years. I am 20 now and I have been on it since I was 15. I have tried to come off of it once. I bled for about 3 weeks and then got back on it. Currently I have all kinds of pain. Back, kness, neck, arms, and I have migraines. I read about a calcium deficiency when doing research about Depo Provera.

Im taking depotrust for almost 2 yrs now. And i have no menstruation since then. Im sopposed to take my next shot last nov but i skipped.. My menstruation still dont resume back.. Is it possible to get pregnant if i had my contact during this time even if my menstruation did not resume yet?

m wondering if this length will lessen, and what experiences and advice other people have had with depo, and whether you would recommend it long term for a 16 year old.

Hi ladies. My last depo provera shot ran out in november and i never got it renewed as i was having bad side effects and i wanted to come off all contraceptives to let my body sort itself out. Its now nearly april and i havnt had any signs of a period apart from stomach cramps now andagain. I didn't have a period or any bleeding at all after my surgery, but since I am on depo provera, I don't typically get them anyway. I wouldn't worry too much, it may take a bit for your body to readjust and the ovaries to start working again. Have you had a follow up yet? Maybe just give your doctor a call and ask, but it seems normal to me.

has taken me off the Depo Shots and I was put on Birth Control Pills. The blood was very dark red and blood clots. I was given an altrsound was told nothing was wrong. Is this normal with the Depo Provera?

i have been on depo shot for 6 yrs.i have now been off for 1yr.4months,my husband and i are trying to have a baby,by me being on shot so long do you think its still in my system the reason i havent gotten pregeant since ive been off the shot?

and being doubled over in so much pain. See you ob/gyn and discuss your options. For me, I went on the depo-provera shot for 3 years. Had no menstruation. When I went off the shot, my periods were shorter and with nearly no pain anymore. Best of luck!

I started the depo provera shots last year (june), and was due for my last one 2nd January just gone. i didnt get the injection as me and my partner now want to start a family. When i was on the injection i was regular with a period every month.

Hi, I am not sure of what type of antibiotic might affect other contraceptives like the pill, but I am pretty sure that she will be fine on the shot. I myself had the depo-provera shot about 10 years ago. I only had one shot and I didn't have a period until a whole year later. It actually took me over another year after my period returned before, I finally became pregnant. The depo-provera shot is extremely effective.

s no way to tell for sure, but more and more proof is coming out that autism is NOT linked to vaccines, and because depo provera is an active hormone shot and not a vaccine, I highly doubt that it is the cause. Are your other children girls by any chance? Very often a family that has an autistic child only has 1 (almost always a boy), and the rest of the children are "normal". I had to have two surgeries that month and I was told I could start provera anytime after the surgery I wanted to. I took it and bled very heavily while on it. When I was supposed to get a withdrawal bleed from the provera I hardly had anything. I thought it was because of the heavy bleed I had just had. If you mean that you received the depo shot 4 months ago, and hence, the last month, you did not get a repeat depo shot, then the answer to your question is, yes, you can get pregnant. I was on the depo shot for about 5 years before stopping to try to conceive. It took me 3 years to conceive my son who is 6 years old.
