Do any of you have pet insurance. I've looked at a couple but they seem like a rip off. A lot of stuff is excluded from coverage and after the deductible and what they don't cover, it seems like what little they do pay is not as much as the premiums.
t have dental insurance... you can get dental stuff done at the hospital if it is really serious. Maybe ask your doctor about this (even if you do live in American, it might be the same)? Personally I'd prefer paying out of pocket than getting it done at the hospital... but, if that's what is causing your headaches and there is no other way to get it done because of money reasons, you might want to consider having your doctor refer you to the hospital to get your tooth dealt with! But...
My back top left molar keeps chipping/breaking off. I was chewing some gum before and a piece of it fell off. I had a root canal on that tooth too. What should I do if it gets bigger, the chipping. I have no dental insurance and I can't really pay to have it fixed or pulled out. I am on a fixed income, so it would be hard for me to pay for dental insurance. I don't have a drivers license either.
I have dental insurance but as we all know the coverage has been less and less over the past few years so I looked into dental discount programs. Did you know that some dental providers will accept both insurance and a dental discount plan togeather? It took me about 5 phone calls but I know it was worth it. On my first visit I had 3-cavitys filled. The cost after my insurance was $144. factor in the dental discount plan and my out of pocket cost was only $14!!!

That's ridiculous? I lost my insurance at 34 weeks and had to pay for my appts out of pocket and for my regular check ups they were like $78. I paid $60 there then they billed me for the other $18...
This makes me so sad, I remember I drank a beer can and I didn't know I was pregnant yet then a week later I found out I was and I felt so guilty and disgusted of myself NO ONE should drink or smoke OR do drugs while pregnant it's horrible!!!
hi, i don't have any dental insurance so I need to pick and choose which tests and procedures at the dentist are really needed. I ask you this because I hope to find unbiased opinion. Last time I skipped the peridontal xray, but got the cavity xray and cleaning...he found 2 tiny cavities that ran me $400 out of my pocket but later a hygenist said maybe that wasn't necessary as the decay could have been reversed... So what do I "really" need..
Two years ago while under a different dental plan my wife's 3 tooth bridge came off. The bridge was about 10 years old and included one front tooth. The dentist she went to told us that one of the teeth that supported the bridge had decayed into the root and had to come out. As a result the a new bridge of 4 teeth was needed. I had fairly good insurance, but a $7.00 an hour job and no savings. Our share was going to be $1000.00, and the dentist would accept payments of $100.
I recently broke a molar in my lower right quadrant, my dentist is recommending a root canal and a crown. My insurance company called me today to say it will not be approved because I'm over 21 yrs. I'm 56 year old female with no other dental issues. Doctors, what gives with this company? Is this normal and what can I do about it? Anyone else who have been through this issue and can offer some insight, I would appreciate your comments.
Anyway, ended up cancelling the order on the card and getting it through another shop on tuesday. This owner tried to rip off some guy sending flowers in to the U.S and he got burned cause that bouquet of tulips he made is now FREE and she will be getting that other bouquet now also, haha. Stupid story i know, but i can't believe how rude he was and thought he could just get away with this. I know it's not that big of a deal, but I am sure this happens a lot.
well I won't be getting my dental insurance till july and the half broken part is still in my gum. Getting a crown is expensive.

My husband (40 y/o,healthy)and I (40 y/o, healthy) are looking to get our health insurance coverage from next present. Right now we are on cobra GHI( extension from my previous work place) but they are asking me to change to EMPIRE PPO or EPO since they will not have GHI. I did not have dental and vision coverage previously but even if I want it they are saying they cannot add it. They are also asking for a one year committment.
I am disabled on Original Medicare, have no intent to buy private insurance... I am wondering, is it possible for an individual to get real, stand alone dental insurance? Everything I've looked at caps yearly benefits at $1,000 or so which is completely insulting considering the premiums are close to half of that. Where can you buy dental insurance that gives you "REAL" coverage?
t even see the cavity the other one was talking about. He claimed she was just trying to rip me off. Now I have an infection with extreme pain from his simple fillings and he claims I'll need a root canal. He's not even sure which tooth...? From what I've been reading he may have caused the nerve damage to begin with because of trauma from his removal of decay and overheating the tooth. He has me on two antibiotics but says root canals will have to be done.
s not just cleaning like brightening your teeth and it actually may have been more. Though it was with my place of insurance (health) I do not have dental insurance, just medical. This was in MN. (not MX) Stuff is cheaper here but I don't feel safe do anything medical or dental here.

Hello, I can't remember the last time I was at the dentist but at the time the dentist said I had no cavities. Now I'm 21 and I have a cavity in on of my top molars. I don't know what to do, I don't have dental insurance and I really don't have the money to get it fixed. I don't want to wait any longer and have it get any worse but I don't have the extra arm and a leg the dentists charge.
They said not to worry--not the dentist but an assistant. Then, I lost my dental insurance due to a bad accident and not being able to work. I kept good dental hygiene habits and rinsing with a commercial rinse that has H2O2 in it. But, my cheek seemed to slightly thicken, my discomfort spread to my jaw and a mild headache only on that side, with some mild swollen neck glands.
You should contact your local dental society to find a free clinic that provides dental services. You could also go to a local dental school as their fees are lower but I don't believe they provide free dental care. If its severe enough, you may need to go to the ER and get antibiotics and pain medications.
I can't believe they are charging you that much! That's crazy!! That medicine is only 2.88 through my insurance. Thats a rip off even if you don't have insurance they need to do something for you.
