insurance

Avatar f tn Because a I have United Healthcare as well and it is also from Minnesota, I think this is the ridiculous insurance ever, every time we do bloodwork, that send me a bill saying this and that is not covered and the bill is over $200 that I have to pay out of my pocket. My total out of pocket doctors visit was estimated to be 670 with my insurance but, honestly I have to pay almost twice that amount.

Avatar n tn hi, i don't have any dental insurance so I need to pick and choose which tests and procedures at the dentist are really needed. I ask you this because I hope to find unbiased opinion. Last time I skipped the peridontal xray, but got the cavity xray and cleaning...he found 2 tiny cavities that ran me $400 out of my pocket but later a hygenist said maybe that wasn't necessary as the decay could have been reversed... So what do I "really" need..
11361691 tn?1433948582 So we don't knew know the gender yet but I let my husband decide i if our sons would be circumcised or not. He wants them to be but I am not sure if our insurance covers it. If it doesn't, how much well it cost us? Any insight?

306867 tn?1299249709 I have insurance, paid by me. I am the employer. When George Bush took office, my plan was 79 bucks a month. With a zero co-pay and pay zero at the hospital. The same plan is now $850.00 a month. $30.00 co-pay at doctors and $5000.00 deductible at hospital.I switched to the Gamblers Plan. It's only $400.00 a month. $30.00 co-pay at doctors. $5000.00 deductible at hospital and I pay 20% at hospital. Unless I pass out and they drag me to the hospital, I am not going.
Avatar n tn I have dental insurance but as we all know the coverage has been less and less over the past few years so I looked into dental discount programs. Did you know that some dental providers will accept both insurance and a dental discount plan togeather? It took me about 5 phone calls but I know it was worth it. On my first visit I had 3-cavitys filled. The cost after my insurance was $144. factor in the dental discount plan and my out of pocket cost was only $14!!! Check it out at http://www.
Avatar n tn My husband (40 y/o,healthy)and I (40 y/o, healthy) are looking to get our health insurance coverage from next present. Right now we are on cobra GHI( extension from my previous work place) but they are asking me to change to EMPIRE PPO or EPO since they will not have GHI. I did not have dental and vision coverage previously but even if I want it they are saying they cannot add it. They are also asking for a one year committment.
Avatar n tn I am disabled on Original Medicare, have no intent to buy private insurance... I am wondering, is it possible for an individual to get real, stand alone dental insurance? Everything I've looked at caps yearly benefits at $1,000 or so which is completely insulting considering the premiums are close to half of that. Where can you buy dental insurance that gives you "REAL" coverage?
1457025 tn?1290023640 Steven Haines at the hospital at the University of Minnesota? Trying to stay in state for insurance reasons. Just thought I would put it out there and see what happens.
Avatar f tn Ok mommys that have medicaid . Will I get denied if I already have dental insurance but not health insurance?
Avatar f tn I'd ask your insurance company! In Minnesota, my insurance doesn't cover it since its cosmetic... But it's cheaper to get it done after my hospital stay at a clinic by almost half the cost, the reason for that is because you have to pay for the room in the hospital it gets done in along with the specialist doing it! So maybe call your insurance company, your clinic and the hospital you'll be delivering at to get more information!
464076 tn?1371537417 My insurance covered it ( they have to if you have comprehensive insurance) AND, Vertex is covering any co-pay. I will not be paying anything for the INCIVEK! Don't know anything about Medicare coverage. Good luck.
Avatar f tn s the Affordable Care Act really but nicknamed Obamacare. Basically it is insurance exchanges making insurance more affordable so that people can buy their own rather than not have any. Not everyone qualifies for Medicare especially if they are working but they still can't afford the cost of insurance. So, Obama put into place laws that require everyone to be insurance and for states to run exchanges to get that insurance hopefully for cheaper rates.
Avatar m tn Hello, I can't remember the last time I was at the dentist but at the time the dentist said I had no cavities. Now I'm 21 and I have a cavity in on of my top molars. I don't know what to do, I don't have dental insurance and I really don't have the money to get it fixed. I don't want to wait any longer and have it get any worse but I don't have the extra arm and a leg the dentists charge.
Avatar f tn Hey Sarah I too am a college student looking for health insurance, I was curios to know what you chose and what worked for you. Also did you add dental to your health insurance, I cant find many quotes with both to know how much together they would cost.
Avatar m tn I am so far a healthy 43 year old/m in pa. I am trying to decide which health insurance plan will be good for my situation and I am looking for some opinions here. This Month my group plan ends and I can take cobra but there is no financial benefit to taking my same PPO plan which gives me to price break for being unemployed. So I am trying to look at this at a meaningful way. Since my PPO was $475/m plue $29 dental I just cant be paying that on my own now.
Avatar n tn I am just getting my own dental insurance next month, so I believe I would have to wait a year to see a periodontist with this particular insurance. If you have any suggestions on how to keep my gums as healthy as possible, so that I can avoid more problems, please let me know. Thanks so much.
Avatar f tn Also, see if there is a birth center near you. I know our local BC has options for families with no insurance. The total out of pocket to deliver there and be seen throughout the pregnancy is about $4500 compared to 3x that amount about the hospital.
Avatar f tn is there anyone else like me that doesn't have health insurance? How much do will/did you pay for the hospital and OB? How much am I looking around for the hospital room only. I'm from Toronto Canada.
Avatar n tn She really need some help. Does anyone know of a place that will take someone without dental insurance in Lake County, IL. She fears the infection may have entered her sinus cavity as last time she went in they told her she had a sinus infection. please help!!
Avatar n tn There is indeed risk in removing them-- it is surgery. If there is no dental reason to remove them, and they are not bothering you, you should leave them alone. the "spacing" issue you referred to is not a valid one, as teeth drift forward into spaces, not backwards. but again, there are risks in the surgery such as infection and damage to local nerves.
946207 tn?1246134385 My mouth is full of dental problems- I have 8 abcessed teeth. One bad infection is in one of my front teeth that hurts all the way up under my sinus cavity. I HAVE TO be sedated at the dentist (been this way since I was young- had abusive dentist when I was little girl who caused me alot of pain). NO low-income dental clinics will sedate me and I can't afford a regular dentist/oral surgeon/sedation. I am 43 yo tomorrow and am going to die from these infections in my mouth.
Avatar f tn My teeth and gums are on fire! There's no swelling, just throbing aches. I don't have dental insurance. Besides using Orajel, what are natural ways to relieve tooth and gum pains that won't hurt my baby?
