Avatar n tn They said not to worry--not the dentist but an assistant. Then, I lost my dental insurance due to a bad accident and not being able to work. I kept good dental hygiene habits and rinsing with a commercial rinse that has H2O2 in it. But, my cheek seemed to slightly thicken, my discomfort spread to my jaw and a mild headache only on that side, with some mild swollen neck glands.
1310633 tn?1430224091 com/article/2011/06/29/us-usa-economy-jobs-clinton-idUSTRE75S6X820110629 (Reuters) - If banks loaned out their $2 trillion cash hoard, if worker training programs were stepped up and if 3 million job openings were filled, the economic recovery would be far stronger, a panel assembled by former President Bill Clinton said on Wednesday.
Avatar f tn I found a job at a church with their Mother's-Day-Out program. It's kinda like a day care mixed with preschool. It's only three days a week from 9am-2pm. They have infants to 4 year olds. I substitute there. It's a nice little job and I work almost every week. I want to be a teacher there but there's no openings for now. My favorite part about it is that my 20 month old son gets to go when I go for free. He loves it and playing with other children his age is benefiting him.
Avatar f tn I figured I would keep that medicine and take only if it flared back up while I was waiting for dental insurance to kick in at some point. Well, still looking for a job and now it's starting back up. I'm so afraid to take it because of the fear of how long it will be before I find a job. Even if I find a job I will try to at least apply for Care Credit to help pay for the treatments even if I don't necessarily have dental insurance to cover it yet at that point.
Avatar f tn I'm only 22. No insurance and no job. I live in a rural area with no means of transportation. I have had weird teeth ever since I was about 8 and would love to get my teeth worked on. I need cleaning; fillings in at least 4 teeth; 2 wisdom teeth pulled (one grew in with a cavity); missing a tooth so need a fake one; and braces to push back teeth, pull together teeth, and spread some apart. I think one tooth has even started spotting brown towards the back.
Avatar n tn drank non-diet soda by the gallon, and rarely i am assuming brushed his teeth. Now he is jobless and broke, no health or dental insurance and too old to put on our insurance policies....Any suggestions of what to do? We certainly cannot afford the cost it will take to correct the problem. I am just sick over this! Any help appreciated!!!
Avatar n tn As a result the a new bridge of 4 teeth was needed. I had fairly good insurance, but a $7.00 an hour job and no savings. Our share was going to be $1000.00, and the dentist would accept payments of $100.00 a month for a year to pay for it. With help I made all the payments. At Christmas time 2008 the bridge came off. The 2 teeth supporting it appeared discolored as with decay.
358699 tn?1297646442 Since I haven't had dental insurance in many years, I've neglected my dental health. I do brush my teeth everyday, floss, and use mouthwash. Last year I had a back molar removed because I cracked it and could not afford a crown. My middle teeth on the bottom are beginning to shift. I had braces as a teenager and my teeth were very straight. My gums bleed on the bottom every time I brush. I know this is a sign a periodontal disease or maybe gingivitis?
Avatar f tn I swallowed my dental crown 2 weeks ago and have not passed it yet. Should I be concerned and what should I do?
Avatar m tn On Feb 4 2016 the left side of my body went numb--not paralyzed, but numb, like you've had dental work and had the "deadening" shot, and it has started to wear off, but doesn't. I have seen my primary care physician, a chiropractor, a neurologist, an orthopedic surgeon and a neurosurgeon. I have had brain and cervical spine x-rays and MRIs, and there is no "structural" cause for the numbness they can see.
620877 tn?1282764097 From personal experience at my job, my company disability insurance would not cover me for any "pre-existing conditions" until I had worked 12 full months plus on day if the disabillty claim. The define pre-exisitng as any condiotn that you have sought treatment for, Have had medical testing for, have consulted a physician or other health care provider regarding this conditon, took meidcation for this condtion even if it was not diagosised at that time.
Avatar n tn hi, i don't have any dental insurance so I need to pick and choose which tests and procedures at the dentist are really needed. I ask you this because I hope to find unbiased opinion. Last time I skipped the peridontal xray, but got the cavity xray and cleaning...he found 2 tiny cavities that ran me $400 out of my pocket but later a hygenist said maybe that wasn't necessary as the decay could have been reversed... So what do I "really" need..
1027870 tn?1252056250 yes you too can have a dental plan that most reputable dentists will not accept! i would love to go to a dental mill full of new, inexperienced dentists.
Avatar n tn its getting more and more difficult to find free or low cost dental care. even dental schools have raised their rates considerably. if you are unable to work due to disability you can file for government aid. if not you can find a local dentist who will accept payment plans. when i found out i needed a root canal i found a second job as a grocery checker until i payed it off. the emergency room will not fix your teeth.
Avatar n tn s a premolar on my left side) that had extensive decay underneath it. She recommended that I get a dental crown for it since the decay went so deep. I recall that they had to fill the amalgam-depositing device three times before they got the entire thing filled up. That's probably bad news... I also have an incisor (the right one next to the two front teeth) that she also recommended getting a crown for, since it had 3 composite fillings in it.
Avatar n tn I have dental insurance but as we all know the coverage has been less and less over the past few years so I looked into dental discount programs. Did you know that some dental providers will accept both insurance and a dental discount plan togeather? It took me about 5 phone calls but I know it was worth it. On my first visit I had 3-cavitys filled. The cost after my insurance was $144. factor in the dental discount plan and my out of pocket cost was only $14!!! Check it out at http://www.
Avatar n tn My husband (40 y/o,healthy)and I (40 y/o, healthy) are looking to get our health insurance coverage from next present. Right now we are on cobra GHI( extension from my previous work place) but they are asking me to change to EMPIRE PPO or EPO since they will not have GHI. I did not have dental and vision coverage previously but even if I want it they are saying they cannot add it. They are also asking for a one year committment.
Avatar n tn I am disabled on Original Medicare, have no intent to buy private insurance... I am wondering, is it possible for an individual to get real, stand alone dental insurance? Everything I've looked at caps yearly benefits at $1,000 or so which is completely insulting considering the premiums are close to half of that. Where can you buy dental insurance that gives you "REAL" coverage?
230262 tn?1316645934 Two of my front teeth just BROKE OFF today now!! I am absolutely horrified, it looks TERRIBLE as you might imagine and I have NO insurance at all. How am I gonna get this fixed?? These proofreading jobs are slowwww as all get out and certainly dont pay enough anyhow to finance the dental work I need (collectively I need 10 Grand to get all my teeth fixed- no BS that is the estimate I have printed out here and thats with their "discount special offer"!!!
285848 tn?1219092313 Oppurtunities for advancement, anual reviews with a 5% raise as long as you attend the meetings and seminars involved in the job. Avatar n tn I am in my late twenties, missed regular dental cleaning (lost insurance) for almost 1.5 years, got my teeth cleaned yesterday and they measured mostly 4mm pockets along all of my molars, some 2/3's up front. I also have 2 k9's on the bottom jaw than have travelled way forward and are about 80% and 50% enclosed by other teeth so, certified by my dentist, impossible to clean effectively at home.
Avatar f tn Oops wasn't done posting. Lol I'm a dental assistant but my boss doesn't offer insurance since she's only open part time. I guess I should look into that with my insurance then.
Avatar f tn m enrolled in SafeGuard-Metlife Dental Insurance. Any suggestions in terms of best treatement would be greatly appreciated. Thanks again for all your support offered!
Avatar f tn Ok mommys that have medicaid . Will I get denied if I already have dental insurance but not health insurance?
