Avatar n tn check your local telephone book. just remember that it still costs quite a bit even at a dental school. the prices in my area have tripled over the last 3 years to the point i am better off with a regular dentist who accepts payments.
1209036 tn?1299178657 It's government funded medical insurance for those who aren't offered or can't afford medical insurance either privately or through their employer. We don't, as of yet, have universal healthcare. You have to provide your own healthcare insurance. If you are at or below certain income thresholds you can qualify for Medicaid through your particular state. If you qualify they pay most if not all of your medical expenses.

Avatar f tn Chances are your baby would be okay but if bychance you or your baby had a complication you might not find out in time and it could be extremely dangerous. I didn't have an insurance with my last pregnancy either but I had a doctor willing to work on a cash payment plan. All doctors office have a basic fee that cover all the office visits and they lump it together and have you pay monthly.

Avatar m tn Hi, I have several dental spacers that are lodged in my gum from a previous dental procedure. They are lodged pretty deep but not at the apex of my gums. I believe there are about 2 but possibly there could be as many as 3 in there. I am planning on getting them removed soon due to recurrent infections and I was wondering if it is more cost effective to get a dental insurance plan or pay out of pocket. What are the typical cost to remove something like this? Will there be surgery required?
Avatar n tn hi, i don't have any dental insurance so I need to pick and choose which tests and procedures at the dentist are really needed. I ask you this because I hope to find unbiased opinion. Last time I skipped the peridontal xray, but got the cavity xray and cleaning...he found 2 tiny cavities that ran me $400 out of my pocket but later a hygenist said maybe that wasn't necessary as the decay could have been reversed... So what do I "really" need..
Avatar m tn You can also contact your local dental society to see if there are any local free or low cost clinics which provide dental care as well.
Avatar m tn Insurance cost us so much each month, we could not pay for our own dental needs and went years without a dental check-up. My teeth had no issues, so I continued to go about my life and now that I am on Medicare, I can once again afford dental visits. My first visit the dentist told me I have severe bone loss and they want to remove all my teeth and add bone grafts from a cadaver to my jaw line and fit me with dentures. This is totally shocking, as I have no issues with my teeth at all.
1027870 tn?1252056250 yes you too can have a dental plan that most reputable dentists will not accept! i would love to go to a dental mill full of new, inexperienced dentists.
Avatar n tn If you google 'how to find an LLMD' or go to the ILADS [dot] org website, you may find some links there. I don't know that anyone currently posting here is in Georgia. You could also try "Lyme Georgia" and see what pops up. LLMDs names are usually not posted here, because of the disapproval they sometimes encounter from their local medical boards in treating to ILADS standards more than to IDSA standards. Good luck -- check back here if you don't find what you need.
Avatar f tn t hurt to go through lumina and see...they just emailed me about my pump today. ...I know here in Georgia the medicaid has a list of supplies that you're eligible to order from monthly. Includes alot of helpful free stuff like diapers, wipes, infant tylenol etc. I ordered when I had Medicaid...so u may want to check that out as well.

Avatar f tn Just recently moved back to Georgia from Florida and have been trying to get my insurance switched back. Finally got it switched back last week and signed medical release form on Friday. They faced it to Florida on Monday and now Florida Obgyn is saying it could take 14 days to get the medical records faxed. I'm stressing because I haven't seen a doctor since about 3 weeks ago.
Avatar n tn I am disabled on Original Medicare, have no intent to buy private insurance... I am wondering, is it possible for an individual to get real, stand alone dental insurance? Everything I've looked at caps yearly benefits at $1,000 or so which is completely insulting considering the premiums are close to half of that. Where can you buy dental insurance that gives you "REAL" coverage?
Avatar f tn Well I live in Georgia and we have pregnant women medicaid..as long as your pregnant you're covered..I don't know if y'all have that but I would check..call your local health department they might be able to help.
Avatar f tn Ok mommys that have medicaid . Will I get denied if I already have dental insurance but not health insurance?
Avatar f tn My back top left molar keeps chipping/breaking off. I was chewing some gum before and a piece of it fell off. I had a root canal on that tooth too. What should I do if it gets bigger, the chipping. I have no dental insurance and I can't really pay to have it fixed or pulled out. I am on a fixed income, so it would be hard for me to pay for dental insurance. I don't have a drivers license either.
Avatar n tn My sister in law came here from El Salvador pregnant and she got MAP insurance but we are in Texas. Not sure what you get in Georgia but your state should have something similar to MAP for non us citizens. Good luck!
Avatar f tn One doctor told me the Lyme test was positive, but its ok because that means I am now immune to it. Any Lyme Doctor suggestions in the Atlanta GA area, or anywhere in Georgia for that matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!
Avatar f tn Anyone else on here from GA? I live in Gwinnett, Ga. About 25 minutes from Atlanta!
Avatar m tn Hello, I can't remember the last time I was at the dentist but at the time the dentist said I had no cavities. Now I'm 21 and I have a cavity in on of my top molars. I don't know what to do, I don't have dental insurance and I really don't have the money to get it fixed. I don't want to wait any longer and have it get any worse but I don't have the extra arm and a leg the dentists charge.
