Avatar m tn i have a tooth that hurts like crazy and i dont have dental insurance, is there some way i can pull it out on my own?
Avatar n tn You should contact your dentist or insurance carrier to find out what their policy on emergency treatment is. They may cover the emergency visit but not any definitive treatment until your probation period is over. I would think it be best to address the issue with a dentist as soon as possible. You may even consider contacting your local dental society to see what dentist may offer free emergency services in your area that may be able to help you until your insurance starts.
Avatar n tn I have been to a couple of dentists last year and they all said all of my teeth need pulled. But right now my dental insurance is not great and i dont have 4,ooo dollars. So my teeth have decayed more and here lately when i first wake up in the mornings i get stomach pains for about an hour or two. So i was wondering if the tooth decay can drain toxins down into my stomach.
322464 tn?1194364154 This a program that donates dental work to those who do not have dental insurance or state funded insurance. I think there is some type of income standards, but it is worth a try. What you would have to do is fill out all paperwork to see if you meet the qualifications for the program. They would then set you up for a exmination with one of the local participating dentist. The dentist then lays out all work needed and the time frame. Good Luck.

Avatar f tn Iehp will cover certain visits. if your your over 21 it will not cover cleanings and fillings. It will cover emergency dentist visits and tooth extractions.
Avatar m tn s 10 minimum standards, including maternity care, emergency visits, mental health treatment and even pediatric dental care." http://www.cbsnews.
946207 tn?1246134385 My mouth is full of dental problems- I have 8 abcessed teeth. One bad infection is in one of my front teeth that hurts all the way up under my sinus cavity. I HAVE TO be sedated at the dentist (been this way since I was young- had abusive dentist when I was little girl who caused me alot of pain). NO low-income dental clinics will sedate me and I can't afford a regular dentist/oral surgeon/sedation. I am 43 yo tomorrow and am going to die from these infections in my mouth.
Avatar f tn My experience is that most people eat garbage food, drink everything but water and then blame their dental issues to something else.
Avatar n tn Three days ago while eating pound cake of all things, my crowns/bridge fell out. I no longer have dental insurance, live in a different state than before, am in severe pain and my jaw is swelling. Dont know what to do. feels like a nerve is exposed. The ground down teeth are both black in color. Is that the way they were prepared before crowning?
Avatar n tn I haven't been to the dentist in years, but the last time I went I was told I needed my wisdom teeth out. I didn't even consider it because I heard it costs thousands and I had/have no insurance. Since then I have had 2 chipped teeth (1 bicuspid, 1 1st molar) that seem to be a result of crowding due to 3rd molar eruptions. I have taken pain killers almost daily for weeks and I know that is unhealthy so I'm starting to get concerned.
Avatar m tn s my understanding. If its a medical emergency they may cover some of it. Dental insurance and medical insurance are billed differently with different codes, etc. If its something significant and cost is an issue, extraction may be the only option. You can ask the dental school if they know of any free clinics that may provide care. You can also contact your local dental society.
Avatar f tn My back top left molar keeps chipping/breaking off. I was chewing some gum before and a piece of it fell off. I had a root canal on that tooth too. What should I do if it gets bigger, the chipping. I have no dental insurance and I can't really pay to have it fixed or pulled out. I am on a fixed income, so it would be hard for me to pay for dental insurance. I don't have a drivers license either.
152660 tn?1291755571 Does anyone have pet insurance or have any experience with it? I know my kitties are old enough it wouldn't be worth it but I have a troublemaking puppy (Skeeter) who should have it- the vet actually told me to get it for her. Especially if Taz gets ahold of her. He HATES her. Oliver wasn't so bad when she was smaller than him but really doesn't care for her now- she likes to bark at him. Lucy couldn't care less- unless she lunges at her.
Avatar n tn hi, i don't have any dental insurance so I need to pick and choose which tests and procedures at the dentist are really needed. I ask you this because I hope to find unbiased opinion. Last time I skipped the peridontal xray, but got the cavity xray and cleaning...he found 2 tiny cavities that ran me $400 out of my pocket but later a hygenist said maybe that wasn't necessary as the decay could have been reversed... So what do I "really" need..
Avatar f tn My niece spend $1,400 in 2 days emergency vet hosptial cash! She could not keep her puppy Bear another day and we nursed him back to life. Right now he is skin and bones, but alive and it will take at least 2 weeks to get him to look healthier. Many Emergency Hospitals do not have payment plans and expect payment up front and I think this is wrong. They need to work with people who need their service and are unable to pay the full amount.
Avatar f tn I had a root canal done 2 years ago on the next to the last tooth in the back, on the bottom right-hand side. Just the root canal alone maxed out my dental insurance so I had to wait a year until I could afford the crown through my insurance. By the time the year was up, I lost my dental insurance and knew I had to wait even longer.

1027870 tn?1252056250 yes you too can have a dental plan that most reputable dentists will not accept! i would love to go to a dental mill full of new, inexperienced dentists.
Avatar f tn You can always contact your local dental society for a dentist or clinic that may provide free or more affordable dental care. You can also go to the local dental school. It sounds like it may be an abscess but its a little unusual that it would start now if they gave you antibiotics at the ER. Did they prescribe some medication for you to take afterwards? When did you have the teeth pulled and then the visit to the ER? It sounds like it all happened quite recently.
Avatar n tn We live from paycheck to paycheck and although we have dental insurance, it is not going to begin to cover what has to be done except for maybe the extractions. I am desperate! My daughter is getting married in December and I don't want big gaping holes and rotting teeth showing in the pictures. Please help!
Avatar n tn Just a thought but if you have any form of medical even Medicaid (I think) they usually pay for emergency dental work during pregnancy as it's considered safest for baby to get your help before it gets worse. Might be worth checking out. When I had my dental problem they did ask me to start flossing twice a day and using listerine or scope twice a day.
Avatar f tn I have this pus and blood filled bump in the roof of my mouth that comes and goes after it erupts. I had four wisdom teeth pulled then I went to the emergency dental and they took x-rays and stated that there was a piece of instrument left in my tooth. They did a temporary root canal done 2004 and some caps taken off. Now that tooth that had the temporary root canal is very infected with a large mass growing out of it. It occasionally bleeds and erupts.
Avatar n tn I have dental insurance but as we all know the coverage has been less and less over the past few years so I looked into dental discount programs. Did you know that some dental providers will accept both insurance and a dental discount plan togeather? It took me about 5 phone calls but I know it was worth it. On my first visit I had 3-cavitys filled. The cost after my insurance was $144. factor in the dental discount plan and my out of pocket cost was only $14!!! Check it out at http://www.
Avatar f tn Yes go to your local health department and they will help you and in whtever state your in they should be able to give an emergency temporary medicaid card to use...
