I just stumbled across this new forum. It is a great idea for those of us who have loved and lost pets. My kitty Bruno is sorely missed especially at night. He gave me so much that caring for him when he died from cancer was never a burden to me: rather a privilege. I am recovering from his death which occurred four days before my ex husband shot and killed one of my sons. Tonight another sweet apt. kit is purring by my side.

We have some friends looking after our house and our pets while we are away. They brought their dog, who did not get on with ours. The two dogs did fight, and in the fight one of our friends got bitten. Then out of the blue one day when he went to pat her on the head, our dog snapped and then attacked him. He said he fought her off and hit her to get her off, she collapsed and died very suddenly. He said he did not hit her hard, just to get her off.

So we have a cat and every morning he gets so excited that we are up and can pay attention to him so he weaves between our legs to rub up on us and he especially does it while I'm walking down the stairs! I know here in Texas that individuals are allowed to keep wild and exotic animals. This should be outlawed. No individual should be allowed to keep these beautiful animals. Their numbers in the wild dwindle every year. Due to poachers and those who trap the babies for "pets". Most of these "pets" cannot be returned to the wild and some of the conditions that some live in are beyond horrendous. Wild animals belong in the wild.

hi and welcome....truth is Vets know very little about nutrition. cats need protein, even now studies are finding high protein is even ok for cats with CRF. so don't you worry about getting too high, as long as all the ingredients are balanced. and they are with commercial foods, its homemade diets that you have to be careful with. s puppy was hit and killed Christmas night in front of her and she held this puppy while it passed on. Needless to say, she is so stricken with grief. I have talked and talked to her and I am concerned for her. I know that during these times we get stressed to use and she needs everyone's suport and love on this forum as she is best known here, not the social side. I am sure many can relate to this heartache however due to nature of the death, she is blaming herself.

And Paradise ended up getting half her sweet little face blown off by gunshot. So, actually the number of lost pets for my daughter is 6. When I rescued Hissie, I brought her into the house. And in the 3 yrs. I have had Hissie, she has never been back outside. The same with Paradise. I keep both my girls inside at all times. Nothing wrong in letting an animal outside for a bit, if a pet owner is there to watch them and then take them back inside.

I dont care what anybody says, some--if not all- animals can and do have an understanding of death. These two dogs have been together since birth, every minute of their lives for 10 years and I hope the surviving dog doesnt fall into some kind of canine depression. These were the puppies I got years ago when some sick person had thrown them in a TRASH CAN to die! my friend who is a garbage man, found them just in time.

Therefore, I don't see any change in the original information, I would still accept a duo conclusive at 4 weeks.

m not sure if this had anything to do with her death. She just breathed abnormally as if she were gasping for air- she lost her appetite- became weak- and sometimes gaged as if something were coming out - only nothing did. if it were true she died of internal illness, wouldn't there be symptoms earlier?
