424839 tn?1268186246 From this perspective, we must seek our goal and mission in something that transcends birth and death, something that we can give our whole life to. Only then can we tap the inexhaustible potential of life. In other words, we must advance beyond the mere struggle to stay alive and be prepared to ask ourselves for what purpose we live our lives.. While it is important to win, it's even more important to remain undefeated no matter what happens..
Avatar n tn Yes, if groomers are busy, they will often put wet dogs in cages and many actually use dryers that will attach to the cage to dry the dogs, or start the process. Unless you have a ne rosy done, you just may not get a definitive answer. Did you check with the Vet they took him to? So very sorry for your loss.
424839 tn?1268186246 In the first place it provides us with the courage to challenge both life and death. It enables us to see death not as some terrifying unknown but as a normal phase of existence that alternates with life in an eternal cycle. Second, it teaches us to treasure the life we are now living and to try to make it as worthwhile as possible.
Avatar m tn s your responsibility to get it some help...Get the puppy to a Vet or Emergency Clinic, NOW! What are you waiting for, other than DEATH?????
Avatar f tn as I know alot of my MH friends are as well... I thought it would be cool to get some of our favorite quotes in one place.... So, here's my first favorite and I'm sure I will post others later.... Can't wait to see yours as well... " If you can't convince them, confuse them!" -HARRY S.
Avatar m tn I was only gone for 15 minutes. I have 2 other dogs and they are fine. I had Booty for 6 years, I think she was around 7 years old. I am stunned as to what happen to cause her death can you help me?
Avatar f tn No sir. Please see a veterinarian. There are a variety of reasons dogs have constipation and that must be diagnosed by a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine and proper treatment given. Human meds are almost never proper to give to pets. Doses are different, reactions are different and in some cases even an innocent med can cause death of a pet. Please consult a D.V.M.
Avatar f tn He has no signs of any distress. He was running and with my other dogs this morning. When I pick him up his tongue hanging out was turning black. Please forgive me I'm really upset because this puppy I watch come into the world in my house. I'm sure if he was posioned by someone or bite by something. I'm not really able to take his body to vet to find out actually what cause his death. I noticed his tongue turning black very quickly. Any thoughts from anyone...
Avatar n tn I would have expected to see her show more symptoms leading up to the sudden death, but all dogs are a bit different. Parvo is an example of a viral GI infection that can cause bloody diarrhea and sudden death. Again so sorry this happend.
Avatar m tn There were no blood, vomit, or anything at the scene of his death. A lot of dogs die before they are expected but they usually have vomit or so,etching and are 10 years of age. But He was only 2 years old and there was nothing! Vets say it's just that one dog out of a million that just die with no reason. That he just went to sleep and just never woke up. I just find this hard to belive and deal with and I want to find a purpose or a reason for his death.
424839 tn?1268186246 My question is about these quotes I have been posting I would like to know if I posted some on religon would that offend anyone being that must would be refferancing Buddhsium but when you read the quotes the can be transfered into anyones faith so I would like to know if people would be offended thanks.
Avatar n tn All I can say is that sometimes these things happen to dogs. They do not show any signs of being sick, until suddenly something happens which is beyond help. I wonder if the disintegration of the bone could have been due to a primary bone cancer, that was up to that point not giving her any symptoms? Obviously I do not know, but that occurred to me as a possibility. I am so sorry for your loss.
Avatar m tn I was not sure if it came from inside or outside my house, but i had a bad feeling that it might be one of our dogs. My husband went downstairs and discovered that indeed one of the dogs was dead. She was still warm. She looked like she was sleeping except her tongue was out on the floor. I was devastated! She was fine when we went to sleep. She was 14, a lab/border collie mix, and she had some pain in her hips, but she was not acting different at all.
Avatar f tn My dog died suddenly yesterday between 2-5 a.m. The only sign was he licked & itched ferociously and his skin seemed warmer and clammier than usual. When asking someone about it at the pet store, she felt him and said "dogs are usually approx. 101 degrees." Once in a great while he had a tremor. Should I have zeroed in on those 2 factors more? I only had him for 4 months and he was 8 years old. I am besides myself.
1518141 tn?1290819155 I have had to make that hard decision of putting my dogs to sleep too many times and it is always very hard to do. I loved my dogs like they were my kids so when I lost one it was like I lost a family member. You are truely Blessed to still have your dog at 17 years old. He does not sound like he needs to be put to sleep though in my opinion but ofcourse you want to get a vet's opinion first. If he is eating , walking and drinking water those are all very good signs.
Avatar n tn What actually happened? You had 2 dogs that died at the same time or recently???? How little was the dog? How cold was it outside??? Please give more information...I am so sorry for your loss.
Avatar n tn It has happened before, to one of our dogs at least. Sometimes the owners want an autopsy to determine what happened to their dog. Just a guess - could he have had "bloat". X-rays would determine that. It sound so innocuous but it isn't. Dogs come in all the time with it and often the owners don't have any idea what it is or how severe it can be. That's what happened with one of our dogs.
Avatar f tn I have been riding horses for two years and love it. I am training dogs. I spend a lot of times with friends. I volunteer for the MS Society. I have made so many great friends because of this disease. All the folks at the barn, they do not have MS. I walk my dog and meet more people. I live by two quotes. "True contentment comes from playing the cards you are dealt" and "Its not what happens in life its what you do about it".
Avatar m tn I do not know what might have caused your dogs death. If your dogs were not vaccinated, there could be many diseases that might have caused your dog to die. I wish I could be of more help, but there is simply no way for anyone to know what happened to your dog, unless you bring your dog to the vet to get a necropsy..(autopsy) performed. If your other dogs start to act sick or strange, please bring them to a vet to get checked out. Again, I am sorry about your dog...
Avatar m tn I have been seeing quotes from others and writing quotes, and others in detox are requesting more. I know in my darkest hours that I chanted, "There is no problem so big that drugs can't make it worse." What has helped or is helping you? God, Grant me the serenity to Accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, and Wisdom to know the difference.
Avatar f tn I'm wondering about the sudden death of my 9mo old Belgian Shepperd dog. I discover it early in the morning she was gone. The day before she died she was ok, playful. no sign at all that she's not ok. i don't know, im sad and very depressed of what happened. I cannot imagine that she was gone. Please give me advice or explanation of what happen. thank you.
Avatar m tn They brought their dog, who did not get on with ours. The two dogs did fight, and in the fight one of our friends got bitten. Then out of the blue one day when he went to pat her on the head, our dog snapped and then attacked him. He said he fought her off and hit her to get her off, she collapsed and died very suddenly. He said he did not hit her hard, just to get her off.
3106038 tn?1346813169 I agree people shouldn't judge all of a breed because some weren't handled correctly or snapped. And I trust all of dogs completely but I will be careful with my child around them, little kids could easily poke them wrong, hit them, pull on them which a dog could get sick of and snap. No matter how good they are with kids? , they just have to get fed up once.
Avatar n tn Post mortems were not available at that time for dogs. He was also in fantastic shape, so our vet really had no other explanation to offer than a genetic heart condition. Just like a person having a massive heart attack. Many dogs these days seem to have heart murmurs too. Some are never bothered by them while others do have issues. Really impossible to say, but it truly sounds like a heart condition and it was just her time to go on to the rainbow bridge.
Avatar f tn I have recently lost my beloved yorkie. I also have 3 other dogs. When Two Bits died, My dogs would constantly sniff for her, and frantically try to find her. They did not seem to understand that she was gone,( even though I let them sniff her after she died, and I let them watch me bury her. ) I tell them she is "all gone"..(a phrase they know)...but...when they smell her scent, they get excited and start looking for her again. So...
