412194 tn?1233621532 Especially for losing a child? That must be the hardest of all and I commend you for trying and wanting to finally move on. If I get any "insights" I will post, but I will be following your posts. It can be very cathartic to get it all off your chest and say it in a "safe place" where no one will judge you. Stay strong.
Avatar m tn I have been seeing quotes from others and writing quotes, and others in detox are requesting more. I know in my darkest hours that I chanted, "There is no problem so big that drugs can't make it worse." What has helped or is helping you? God, Grant me the serenity to Accept the things I cannot change, Courage to change the things I can, and Wisdom to know the difference.
Avatar n tn My advise for you is you will survive. Death is raw and unmerciful and it will test the very core of you faith. It tested mine, but my mother was Christian and taught me her faith and God will give you inner strenght that you didn't realize you had to survive. I am proof of that. As for you boyfriend. His a jerk and you are very lucky not to have him you life again. How cruel and cold to walk out on someone who has experience the life changing event as a death in the family.
Avatar f tn For example, I accidentally burned my legs (when it rains it pours right?). A loved was putting cream on for me and I started to get worried that if I am positive I could infect them. Also, I am paranoid about this because my gyn said based on my results I am positive.. and I could have even been infected from my roommate who is positive and I share clothes/utensils/bathroom with. Possible?
Avatar f tn I love Breaking Bad! Best show ever! Loved the finale, too! One of my favorite quotes: Don't walk behind me, I may not lead. Don't walk in front of me, I may not follow. Just walk beside me, and be my friend. I heard it many years ago, and I can not remember who the originator is.
Avatar f tn Has your husband ever smoked, or over-ate, or had any problems with drinking? If he's like my wife and has never been hooked on anything, then he won't be able to ever really understand. There are groups for families of addicts and boozers. See if he'd be willing to go to a meeting; it would be a good education. My wife found it very helpful; she was able to talk with other partners who had to deal with an addict of some sort.
Avatar m tn is better to have loved and lost than to live with the psycho the rest of your life!!! (personal experience with THIS one a few times ha ha) Ok, one more..... The face of a child can say it all.......especially the mouth part of the face!!!! C'mon folks, dig them out!!!!!

470885 tn?1326329037 I know how you are feeling, I think of My Mother every day and I look at her Picture a lot especially as I have so many of her ways and Sayings and it reminds me of her so much, I can look at my hands and they are her hands and my nose is hers. I sound like her, so my Family say. She loved you a lot no doubt and that is always there isnt it .
Avatar f tn Hi. I think therapy would benefit you greatly, in teaching you how not to obcess over this so that it doesn't consume you. Most people have some fear of death and we all worry about losing our loved ones, it's normal. Having lost most of my family, this same worry consumed me. The biggest lesson all these losses taught me is that no amount of worry in the world will change what will be, it only makes us sick.
424839 tn?1268186246 Every single act and thought plays a role in shaping our existence, in both life and death. The law of causality permeates and molds the great eternal flow of cosmic life. What, then, are the practical implications of this philosophy? How should it affect our conduct and our outlook? In the first place it provides us with the courage to challenge both life and death.
Avatar f tn Sorry for your loss love heaven gained angel xo
Avatar f tn near death experiences teach us that life is eternal and our loved ones are totally happy on the other side ... this world is a school where souls come to learn important lessons like love and forgiveness ... often death of a family member is designed to help us grow spiritually ... when it's time to go you have to go there is no other way around it ... physic john edward says we should actually celebrate their existence and not mourn their death ...

405441 tn?1201818043 When I leave him, I get a huge fear of regret and worry and am incredibly upset for days after leaving. When I leave home to go back, I get this same fear and become very upset when leaving my mother. I feel really embarrassed being a grown woman standing in an airport being the only one bawling or crying profusely because I'm leaving my mother. Is it just me being immature? Will talking to someone professionally help me deal with this?
382218 tn?1341181487 I DO think this Forum gives us an outlet to talk about our troubles and I think it DOES spare our loved ones slightly, but voicing our concerns here, rather than bringing them up every moment we breathe, with them. I know that my better half MUST get tired of hearing how much pain I am in everyday. He must...but thankfully he always listens. Of course, none of our families can understand what it is really like, unless they are experiencing the same thing in their bodies.
1310633 tn?1430224091 (CNN) -- In a decision sure to cause debate, a New Mexico judge has ruled that terminally ill, mentally competent patients have the right to get a doctor to end their lives. The landmark decision Monday by New Mexico Second Judicial District Judge Nan Nash came after a two-day trial and could make New Mexico the fifth state to allow doctors to prescribe fatal prescriptions to terminal patients.
Avatar f tn What did your therapists say about it? Anything happen in your family that might have triggered this? I'm wondering, though, the only way to have "friends" is to interact with them. All interaction is "contributing." Same with family. Unless you're completely silent around them, in which case they wouldn't actually be able to be friends with you, right? So if you have friends, you must be talking. If you hang with family, you must be communicating, right?
Avatar m tn ve learned is that people seem to need or want to think that there is a heaven, a better life waiting for us, and that we will all be united with loved ones, yet they all fear death? I would think it would be a welcomed end to the life we have on earth? I know people who when things go the way they want, it's God's workings, if not, then it's Satan's. When do we take responsibility for our own actions?
Avatar f tn It's a very difficult thing to learn that one is terminal and I feel it's important to know that anything you may be feeling is okay. Why me.....anger....sadness..... The good thing about knowing you are terminal, is it gives you the time and opportunity to say all your unspoken words and to make amends with anyone you need to. You get to say your goodbyes, all your I love you's, and have peace in your heart. You can put your loved ones at ease and let your wishes be known.
