death

539549 tn?1315981662 What stood out to me in your post is I sometimes have anxiety related to thoughts about death and times. In the past I've also had some films that played with my mind kind of the way you described.
Avatar f tn First and foremost, stop berating yourself for feeling so miserable – and for the length of time it is taking you to get over it. It’s only in the movies that people recover so quickly. It’s only in the movies that people just get mad, burn their ex’s clothes, and walk away triumphant. In real life, people pine away for long periods of time, but they are too ashamed to admit to most people.

Avatar f tn has anyone watched the final destination movies? they're horror movies and really gross BUT here's something super freaky. the air france flight 447 that went down...well there is a story on yahoo about a woman who missed the flight and died the other day in a car accident! i saw that and was like OMG! first thing i thought of was the final destination movies. maybe you can't escape death. she was meant to be on that plane and wasn't. death caught up to her! freaky.
Avatar f tn Just like falling in love takes time so does dealing with a passing of a loved one.Just opposite ways of feeling.Love and loss, two parts of life that both hurt. For loving anyone or anything, such as a pet can lead to pain. All feelings lead to pain and despair, eventually. So do we stop feeling, stop loving, stop caring,no we just learn to adjust to our new lives without that loved one that pet, that friend.whom ever.Death ends a life, not a relationship.

Avatar f tn I am in the US and feel like there is just no support, no help, nothing for aging Down Syndrome. They have all kinds of programs for parents with childen with Down Syndrome. I just feel totally alone in this. I've been caregiving for too long with a chronic pain disease myself. Some days it's totally overwhelming. I do have a meeting with my sister's primary care and the nurse where she lives on Tuesday to see what step to take next.
Avatar f tn Last night I talked my hubby into watching titanic with me. Tonight he picked matchstick men. We've been having a nice lazy weekend.
Avatar f tn Idk what kind of movies you're into but Les Miserables was pretty good. I don't usually like musicals, but it was good. Really sad though.
7510956 tn?1411671417 An as for the suggestions of HepcforSandi, I agree, watch happy movies, stay away from CNN if u can. With all the death happening around the world right now, I would find myself sitting in front of the TV bawling like a baby. Not good for the psyche. I don't know if your into hobbies, but I'm picking up painting an making mardi-gras hats again. It calms me. Fred, maybe doing something you normally enjoy would take the edge off the irritability.

1356959 tn?1488975948 Shut off our phones and mourned our babies death. We went to this nice winery with a beautiful river that ran by it and at sunset picked a flower for every week of our babies life with us in my belly and sent them down the river with thoughts and prayers of that journey. I don't know if it will help you but it at least gave me some closure. It's such a hard thing to go threw. I understand.
