But I teach high school in the inner city, and when my students realize that my husband is black, they are SHOCKED because my kid could look like them. It's very surreal that my students seem to connect better with me knowing my family is mixed race. I say... Forget the haters. Your child is going to be absolutely beautiful!!!!

They had to evacuate the other students, the principal had to go get my dad (he taught at the junior high down the street), and ems was called. They had all the teachers shut their doors and stand in the windows when they wheeled me out so the other kids couldn't see. I was 2 months early though so the hospital stopped the labor and sent me home on bed rest, except school...

Besides right now you may think you know what you want in a girl but that is all hormones talking. WAIT it will be better. As far as your grades that is something you need to focus on now. Perhaps the classes are boring and you just don't want to do the work. Try looking at the classes in a new light.

He is not a trouble kid at all never has been. The problem is his school work never finish it, he wait till report cards so he can finish his work, lately he is having more trouble getting his work done. He will not let me put him on med at all. Avatar f tn It sounds like your daughter is a motivated and diligent student, so it is possible that she was able to compensate for her weaknesses throughout early school years with her hard work and other skills she has. In high school the students are expected to process larger amounts of information and to be able to access their knowledge in a fast-paced mode on the exams. The demands on students really change in nature and this is when some latent issues might come to the surface.
Avatar n tn Ah, sorry about her friend. That's hard on an adult let alone a child who hasn't yet learned how to be introspective and work through emotions. (some people never do, unfortunately). I, personally, wouldn't be too concerned about this in general. It's not that uncommon to talk to ourselves and hear it as a 'voice' in our head. I don't think so any way.
Avatar f tn ve not really had to test this before as they are both very personally motivated to be successful in school. Kids take college level classes in high school now with the final test administered by the US College Board. My son took one his freshman year in high school. I don't sign him up for these things but his academic scores qualify him. He has a peer group of very smart kiddos who are all wanting to do well.

As punishment, I want to make my OCD worse until I can barely control it. If I stop taking Luvox and Abilify, will I suffer some sort of neurological damage? Or will the only effect be that my OCD will become worse?
