Avatar f tn Hi,, First of all, your condition is not indicative of breast cancer, especially because these spots are bilateral. Most likely it's just a skin problem. Many people suffer from dark spots on the skin in the underarm area. They can be caused by fungal infections,as well as shaving or using deodorants with alcohol or aluminum. You should see a dermatologist to check these spots and possibly get a prescription to treat this problem okay? Take care...

Avatar m tn Hello, These dark spots can be due to bruises, hyperpigmented skin or phytophotodermatitis. I suggest you to get it evaluated from a dermatologist as treatment is different for all. Avatar f tn Hi, One of the main causes of skin cancer is exposure to ultraviolet radiation, or UV rays. UV rays are invisible, and are produced by the sun and tanning lamps. Most often, skin cancer is the result of overexposure to the sun. UV rays cause skin cancer by creating changes in the cells of the skin. In some cases, the UV rays cause direct damage to the cells. Tans and sunburns, for example, are both signs that UV rays have damaged the skin.

Avatar n tn Not sure, but when spots appear quickly and not symmetrically, they're usually not sun damage or skin cancer (those are slow and symmetrical) but something external, like insect bites. Unless they appear in large numbers or spread, I'd wait them out. Best. Dr.

Avatar n tn that's is most likely not skin cancer at all. it sounds like tinea versicolor possibly. google that term and look at the images. if that's what you have it is a fungal infection that is often times caught in tanning beds. that is absolutely not the only place people catch it, but common. and it is very very common on the chest and back. easily treatable. you'll need a prescription. skin cancer comes by way of scaly sores, weird bumps , lesions etc.

Avatar f tn However, based on your description , I do not think this is skin cancer. Skin cancers may be dark spots, more like ink stains eg melanoma. They may be angrier looking as in the case of squamous cell CA. In your case, I am thinking of something vascular. These may be petechia or purpura. Do you scratch the rash or have you bumped the areas into something? Just continue to observe them.

Avatar m tn For a while I have had a few dark areas of skin on my penis. The areas are not raised have never noticeably itched and the texture is no different from normal skin. A few days ago I went to a dermatologist to have a skin cancer screening.

They don't itch or bleed, and after a year of unprotected sex I haven't "caught" them. I assumed they were skin tags or genital warts but now I'm worried about skin cancer.
