Did any of u ever smoke hookah when u were pregnant? Is it just as bad for the baby as smoking cigarettes?

I think its both positive and negative. It teaches the kids the dangers of smoking/second hand smoke and the problems it can cause as well as the result od death. As for the negative, the kids with the smoking patents are now worrying about losing their parent(s) due to the day care. Im an ex smoker myself.

Hi ladies I have a question, me and my hubby used to smoke hookah alot but ever since I found I was pregnant I obviously stopped, I am 34wks pregnant and my hubby recently started Smoking hookah again but the VAPORIZOR one, the one that you smoke out the pen.

I disagree with the comment that we should accept it and not try to educate people about the dangers of smoking while pregnant. There are a lot of really young moms on here and notall do know all the risks with smoking.

Hi. I'm just curious in people's opinions of something. I am an ex smoker. No longer have the habit. My child's daycare have been taught that smoking kills people etc.. so move away from people if they're smoking. A lot of parents from the daycare have come in abusing the child care Centre as they're smokers and there young children keep telling them they're going to die.

Why risk something that has been scientifically proven to affect an unborn fetus? Science was a whole lot different for our parent's generation, scientist know so much more about the dangers of smoking than before. I just couldn't see myself taking chances like that knowing as many negative stories about it.

I was in and out of the hospital nonstop. My ob dr finally told me to try smoking a little bit of weed for the naseua Meaning not to smoke it to get high just to help the sickness. Which thankfully my sickness stopped before I had to try it. But I doubt my dr would tell me to if it was going to cause problems with my pregnancy. Well when I found out I was pregnant I just thought of it this way.. have you ever seen a crowded room of people smoking and its just all smoke and people coughing, now just picture that was your baby.. its in a small room filling with smoke trying to get that breath of fresh air but cant until your done smoking that cigarette.

Well, I can certainly tell you the risks that YOU will have by smoking Hash after you deliver of your baby. The risk of loosing your child, because of your negligence. Your 36yrs old, I'm quite certain you know or can find out the dangers of smoking any toxins while pregnant. Have you seeked help? Is this the environment your poor unborn "high" baby is going to be living. So sad...

That's so selfish! Stuff like that really makes me mad. If you can't give up certain things while you are pregnant for the sake of the child, then you don't deserve that baby when it is born. I hope they test her and take the baby away when it's born. If i have to give up cold meat on a sandwich then she sure as H.E.L.L needs to give up smoking and drinking.

Before I was pregnant I vaped instead of smoking, with nicotine. I was wondering if it was okay to vape with no nicotine while pregnant?

This may be a good opportunity to start educating your 2 year old on the dangers of cigarette smoking. Teach him not to ever pick them up, especially when he’s older and others around him may be smoking.

An older woman I know recently learned that her husband was smoking crack and using her car to get get the drugs. She learned this when she was walking out to her car and people started shooting at her car. Luckily there are only bullet holes in her car and not in her body. I would certainly suggest calling the police the next time you smell this going on so they can be caught in the act. You don't need this around your baby - born or unborn.

s never cheated but he lies a lot . when we found out I was pregnant he got a job and I thought he was sober but I just found out he's been smoking k2 , he doesn't think there's anything wrong with it but I don't like it. its not rocket science we aware of all the dangers in this day and age..im a smoker myself but gave up when i found out i was pregnant..it wont kill us to give up for a mere 9 months to ensure you dont harm your baby..

i have been reading up on detoxing and the dangers this could have on my fetus. yesterday i used a small dose of sub, i usually only need a small sliver from my 8mg strip to ward off withdrawls, and today i took about the same amount. i hope to be able to taper down to nothing by only taking the suboxone when i feel the withdrawls coming on. So what i want to know is, i guess how safe this will be for my baby. i would like to be drug and sub free in less than two weeks.

Re-reading what I wrote and feel a bit daft! I do agree with everyone else here! I was ignorant myself of the dangers of it, so am more educated now thanks to the good people here. I feel stupid for stating that it's legal. Alcohol is legal. It almost killed me and TG I haven't had a drink for several years. I wish I could take my post down. I agree that it is something to be more concerned with, and feel like my post was way too blase.
