Re-reading what I wrote and feel a bit daft! I do agree with everyone else here! I was ignorant myself of the dangers of it, so am more educated now thanks to the good people here. I feel stupid for stating that it's legal.
Alcohol is legal. It almost killed me and TG I haven't had a drink for several years. I wish I could take my post down. I agree that it is something to be more concerned with, and feel like my post was way too blase.

My daughter and her BF had a roomate that smoked that stuff. It's not good. Apparently it is herbs with something that they call synthetic THC. A bunch of chemicals. Here in Utah they are making it illegal because it's considered hazerdous. Google "smoking spice dangers" and there is alot of stuff on it. I think it is telling that there is a push in some states to legalize pot, and yet they are banning that stuff right and left.
COPD is Chronic obstructive pulmonary disease, which a chronic disease and causes symptoms of cough, breathlessness and wheezing. The commonest cause for COPD is smoking. The lungs age with smoking as in comparison to the person’s age. If you stop smoking at this point, the lungs are not damaged any further, though the damage that has already been done cannot be reversed. So, giving up smoking would be first step towards controlling COPD.
I think its both positive and negative. It teaches the kids the dangers of smoking/second hand smoke and the problems it can cause as well as the result od death. As for the negative, the kids with the smoking patents are now worrying about losing their parent(s) due to the day care. Im an ex smoker myself.

Hi. I'm just curious in people's opinions of something. I am an ex smoker. No longer have the habit. My child's daycare have been taught that smoking kills people etc.. so move away from people if they're smoking. A lot of parents from the daycare have come in abusing the child care Centre as they're smokers and there young children keep telling them they're going to die.
Wait, herbs solution? What herbs? And when you say herbs solution and no water, explain -- a solution is in liquid. Are you talking about an alcohol extract? I'm asking, because certain herbs can counter the effects of medication. Some can exacerbate it, depending on the herb and the med. As for your symptoms, did you just start the new med? Did you stop taking it, as you hint by saying it continued for several days after taking it.
If you dont want to use it your self why would anyone want it legalised, what reason could there be, I actually do believe its more harmful than alcohol, ..and what, about the smoking part so then its okay to smoke, I thought the left wanted to be rid of smoking ...so the kids of cigs& pot smoking parents will then for sure copy them ..Sorry but I just dont get it... ...
t start taking the herbs right away but after taking it and stopping coughin the process of my cough lasted about a month. I have started to take herbs again but it is not working. I have not gotten the herbs from the same doctor as last time and am wondering if I took the same herbs again if that would help but am also concerned if it might be another health related problem although I am not @ risk for any other health problems.
You certainly have a number of the classic symptoms for hypo t, and your FT4 was on the very low end of the range. I would stop taking any more of the herbs and go back and ask that FT 3 also be tested (free T3), because it is 4 times as potent as FT4 and largely regulates metabolism. Doctors do not usually check FT3 because they assume that if T4 is okay, then T3 will also be okay. That is not always the case, plus your FT4 is on the very low end of its range already.
There is a good chance that since they occurred in the setting of smoking this K2, the drug/herbs were likely responsible and they should go away if you stop using K2. The chance of any permanent damage to your heart is very slim. The K2 could have been laced with some other drug or substance as well since this substance isn't regulated. There is always a chance that the palpitations were due to a heart arrhythmia, or irregular heartbeat.
Anybody who takes either one of these herbs should think of it as practicing self-medication. One should use the same level of caution -- or more so -- with herbs as with prescription pharmaceuticals. For someone who is totally, 100% healthy, maybe there is adequate margin for error in using these types of nonstandardized medications. But for someone who already has a significant medical problem, there is probably less margin for error.
Is smoking hookah like tobacco or can you smoke hookah without it having tobacco? Does it have the same effects as cigarettes?

s where a lot of the evidence of the dangers of stopping benzos cold turkey came from -- a psychiatrist in England who had worked at a rehab facility. Perhaps you could get your psychiatrist involved, or copy the information about the dangers of quitting benzos cold turkey. Of course, it's probably just as stupid to cold turkey quit methadone, but that's what these facilities do. Good luck.
I'm not against it, to each their own. But I knw 3 sisters, 2 of which smoked through their pregnancy and 1 who didn't, and couldn't if she wanted to because it made her sick. 1 of the 2 who smoked has 3 kids, and the other has 2, the one who didn't smoke has 1.
On the contrary, there is something out there that is being sold legally that is being CALLED a safer alternative and is being sold as a legal marijuana substitute. It is a bad idea to even promote the artificial stuff as a safer alternative. Usually, the motive behind such promotions is about the seller making money and not about the safety of the people buying the product. That's generally true of the illicit drug trade, too, so you get the idea.
If it has a warning label, obviously discontinue it! The thing with herbs and other natural remedies . . . they interact with our system just like drugs do. Being natural or herbal doesn't mean they have no dangers. So, I wouldn't take anything unless my doctor okayed it, herbal or otherwise. And then if you have been using it since pregnant, just let your doctor know. good luck!
