I think its both positive and negative. It teaches the kids the dangers of smoking/second hand smoke and the problems it can cause as well as the result od death. As for the negative, the kids with the smoking patents are now worrying about losing their parent(s) due to the day care. Im an ex smoker myself.

Hi. I'm just curious in people's opinions of something. I am an ex smoker. No longer have the habit. My child's daycare have been taught that smoking kills people etc.. so move away from people if they're smoking. A lot of parents from the daycare have come in abusing the child care Centre as they're smokers and there young children keep telling them they're going to die.
The reason is logical enough - since we have a lot more borders to cross in Europe it makes a lot more sense to smuggle a couple of hundred kilos of hash than the equivalent volume of weed, which would translate to a truck load.

I have read about the effects of quitting smoking, and that they can sometimes last for weeks/months;
however, prolonged periods of pain/stress will be counterproductive for someone who is also trying to cope with chronic liver disease, even if the end result is to detoxify the body...
Hence my question...and looking for palliatives which will not harm the liver.
(Yoga...meditation...diet...all this is already part of her daily life).

re most likely laid up, I would like to suggest a website called whyquit.com. While your recovering, you can educate yourself on the dangers of smoking. You are very young and quitting now will be a lot easier than 10 or 20 years from now.
To answer your question simply though; YES, one or two cigs a day will hurt you!

I run a small business and one of my employees sometimes comes to work smelling like burning rubber. I'm pretty sure that he smokes marijuana but I'm familiar with that smell (from my days as a child of the 70's :-) but this is different. It's almost like marijuana mixed with burning rubber. Is it possibly marijuana that is laced with something? If so, what drug would have that specific smell?
Hi, I am a 20 year old male who has been experiencing dizzy spells seemingly out of nowhere. I can be at work reading a book and it will happen. If i think about it, it gets worse but ignoring it and telling myself its just anxiety doesnt make it go away. Today I have felt slightly dizzy and felt like I was disconnected with reality all day. At times the dizziness. I almost left work but decided not too.
m a practicing Catholic who goes to Chuch every Sunday and I would never socialize with an atheist (that is my personal opinion,not shared by all). He is verbally abusive, does drugs...smoking hash is a illegal drug and cultural moral values are completely different.
You are both not compatible...run as fast as you can right out the door and don't look back!
The good news is you quit before for 7 weeks and you can do it again. Since you said it's taking it's toll on you and family, then you know it's time to stop. Do you hang out with friends that are smoking? Now your thinking of buying extasy and that is somewhere you don't want to go.

I am wondering...is this anything like quitting smoking? I smoked for 23 years, and could not imagine life without my "best friends", my cigarettes. I mean...what would I do when the phone rang, when I got in the car, after I was done eating, when I went out, sat next to the pool, etc etc. I remember thinking how will I EVER ENJOY life again without my cigarettes.
SIDS as well as second hand smoke dangers to you and you baby are important considerations in maintaining health for both of you. There are good prescription options for quitting smoking if your husband is willing to discuss them with his doctor. Chantix has had great success and well as Wellbutrin and quitting will keep him healthier for his baby too.

Why risk something that has been scientifically proven to affect an unborn fetus? Science was a whole lot different for our parent's generation, scientist know so much more about the dangers of smoking than before. I just couldn't see myself taking chances like that knowing as many negative stories about it.
Re-reading what I wrote and feel a bit daft! I do agree with everyone else here! I was ignorant myself of the dangers of it, so am more educated now thanks to the good people here. I feel stupid for stating that it's legal.
Alcohol is legal. It almost killed me and TG I haven't had a drink for several years. I wish I could take my post down. I agree that it is something to be more concerned with, and feel like my post was way too blase.

My daughter and her BF had a roomate that smoked that stuff. It's not good. Apparently it is herbs with something that they call synthetic THC. A bunch of chemicals. Here in Utah they are making it illegal because it's considered hazerdous. Google "smoking spice dangers" and there is alot of stuff on it. I think it is telling that there is a push in some states to legalize pot, and yet they are banning that stuff right and left.
