I have tried all the OTC remedies, Sea Breeze and Tea Tree Oil. It is driving me crazy. I wake up in the middle of the night sratching my head. I do not have this problem anywhere else on my body except the scalp. I have to constantly wipe my clothing off. I color my hair but have for years. I have not changed my shampoo or hair products at all. Can someone tell me about a remedy that will help...I will try just about anything!

Hello, I have read your post & I am also going through similar dandruff, my question to you is how do I determine, whether my dandruff is a sign of psoriasis or seborrhoeic dermatitis? FYI, my dandruff don't respond to any of the dandruff shampoos I have tried so far, I have started using tea tree oil since 2 weeks & I massage it once a week. Any help would be highly appreciated.

It seems to weep and generate a crustiness I noticed. I have tried dandruff shampoo, neosporin, lotion, tea tree oil, and plain petroleum jelly. All have worked to a point, but the itchiness and scaly skin still continue. It comes off in flakes. I do wear glasses and use a headband when I go to the gym which I thought caused it. Keep it clean and dry after showers but it hasn't helped. Anyone have something that works?

Yup. I never used to have dry skin till I got pregnant. It's causing dandruff.

m a hair dresser n the Paul Mitchell tea tree shampoo works great but is a little pricey so u can also buy tea tree oil really cheap n add a few drops to your scalp n brush thru n also add a few drops to any shampoo also in the first trimester we r extremely tired n sometimes don't feel like doing our beauty routines n not brush your hair everyday spreading the oils in your can cause dandruff

I have extremely dry scalp all over that flakes and itches so bad. I've tried Head 'n' Shoulders, Selsen Blue, Green Tea Tree Oil...everything...when I initially wash my hair it works. But by that evening or the next morning it's back. When I try to use conditioners to help, my hair gets so oily I can't stand it. I don't blow dry my hair anymore because it makes it worse faster. i have had problems with my scalp, I went to a beauty supply store where they have alot more types of shampoo and conditioner, i suggest using this shampoo called - ion clear-t dual action shampoo (it's pretty much for scalp issues such as oily scalp, dry scalp dandruff, psoriasis..) and then this conditioner called american classic tea tree conditioner.. it's absolutely amazing, the first time i used it i could FEEL the difference, it was like such a relief to my scalp.

I use them after a dandruff treatment, the t/gel dandruff shampoo set that contains 3 types of dandruff control, all of them are anti-fungal. Tea tree oil!! The stuff is amazing!!! I never had zits with my other to pregnancies, they were boys, but this little girl hase breaking out bad. A friend suggested tea tree oil and Omg I love her!! Look it up online its known as a medicine cabinet in a bottle for its millions of uses. Side note my dog had a skin tag the Dr said tie it off and it will fall off well o used the tea tree oil instead and it shrunk the was just gone!
