Common Questions and Answers about Dandruff remedies garlic

dandruff

Avatar n tn t seem to have made much of a dent in the dandruff. Like I said, the dandruff is minimal on some days and heavier on other days with seemingly no rhyme or reason. I've tried adding some olive oil to his food, and even rubbing some on him because I read it might help, but really when I massaged some olive oil into his skin it almost seemed to make the dandruff worse. What do you all think? I have read they sell dog balm and dog moisturizers, which I'd never even heard of before.
17551709 tn?1457744886 I have had dandruff for years. I tried washing my hair with different shampoos, tried washing my hair multiple times per day and even tried several different anti-dandruff shampoos without success. Now I'm going to start using home remedies like apple cider vinegar.
Avatar f tn For example if I eat garlic, my breath smells like garlic. If my friend eats garlic, all we smell is a chemical smell----strange, but true. Have him keep his hair shampooed daily as margy says.
Avatar n tn I think raw garlic is supposed to be more effective (stronger than cooked garlic is), but eating garlic that has been peeled and cooked briefly in a small pan with olive oil works well too. Onions are good too, but I think garlic is stronger against bacteria etc. fwiw.
11165184 tn?1429569382 I Heard a lot of people had results using garlic oil...buy the garlic oil soft gels cut it open and apply it. You'll probably want to use order less unless u like the smell of garlic.
17514900 tn?1457390427 I stumbled upon one that included garlic. I was a bit skeptical, but after asking my mother I decided to proceed and apply raw garlic on my pimple. Not going to lie, it worked incredibly well; except it left a burn mark all around my now inconspicuous pimple. The skin is brown and seems to be peeling off a bit; a patch of skin did peel off, exposing pinkish/red skin underneath. I don't know what to do, nor how to heal this (should I even attempt to heal it?
Avatar n tn The dandruff is better when I cut hair short. Sometimes the itching is so irritating that I want to cut hair off!
20900786 tn?1598014440 I hope you can help. I have what I can only describe as huge, thick wad of dead, dry skin on my scalp above m my forehead. It feels awful and it's so irritating. Nothing will make it go away, not even a special shampoo a dermatologist prescribed. It's been awhile since I was seen. What is it, and are there any home remedies I can use? Dandruff shampoo doesn't work.
Avatar f tn It sounds like you have dandruff- which the selsun blue shampoo should help, but sometimes it can be resistant to anti-dandruff shampoos for various reasons. You could try some other brands (such as head and shoulders) or you could try some home remedies- lemon juice or apple cider vinegar. If that doesn't work, you may want to head back to your doctor to see if the flakes are indications of another medical condition- it could be something like eczema.
Avatar f tn Garlic tea is made by crushing or cutting a clove of garlic. Let the clove sit for 10 minutes to get the most antibiacterial antiviral medicine. Then add hot water and either honey or lemon or regular tea.
687194 tn?1244811182 I have a very very itchy and flaky scalp. I have tried all the OTC remedies, Sea Breeze and Tea Tree Oil. It is driving me crazy. I wake up in the middle of the night sratching my head. I do not have this problem anywhere else on my body except the scalp. I have to constantly wipe my clothing off. I color my hair but have for years. I have not changed my shampoo or hair products at all. Can someone tell me about a remedy that will help...I will try just about anything!
Avatar f tn So, I'm in my first trimester and pregnancy is already making me experience the wonderful world of yeast infections. I went to the doctor to make sure it is indeed a yeast infection and it is. He didn't prescribe me anything because he said it's too early and to wait until the second trimester, but I've heard of natural remedies, such as the garlic clove in the vagina that cures yeast infections. Has anyone tried this during pregnancy? Is it safe?
Avatar f tn It's very possible the infection is being spread and spread again by your child to the rest of the family. This is mostly found in kids, and when adults get it it's usually from their kids. Once you've got them in your house, you've got to wash everything that touches the butt, and in hot water. Take hot showers in the morning. As for the med, sometimes meds do damage the very immune systems that fight against repeat infections.
Avatar m tn do you use a lot of spices or garlic in your food?
Avatar n tn I had it in my last pregnancy and took antibiotics, and other natural remedies, like garlic and a few other things, and as far I know, it did not go away. I also got GBS as well. My midwife suggested using Hibiclens soap, but nothing helped. I had no clue I even had it (I didn't have any weird discharge or odor) but they tested me because I was going into pre-mature labor. I hope it clears up soon for you!
Avatar f tn I have a yeast infection I believe I have a red skin rash around me and I itch sum. Its being a pain to go away. Monistat and crap like that just isn't cutting and I haven't gotten ahold of the Dr. I'm trying some natural remedies like garlic I used the gel out of a garlic capsule. Any other advice or things I can try?
4093350 tn?1358096154 Of course, if i feel awful i will call doctor but wondering if you have any home remedies that you swear by??? Just woke up feeling this way today so hoping i can kick it before it gets bad. Im 25+2. Thank you!!
Avatar f tn During the beginning of my pregnancy I had the nastiest cough with mucus. Eww. My cough lasted about a good 3 weeks. Felt like forever. I didn't take any medicine but I did make home remedies that consisted of teas with lemon, honey, garlic, and chayanne pepper. Google cough remedies and they give you information on how to make them and what ingredients. Now I am 11 weeks and no cough in sight.
Avatar f tn Good Morning All- I am looking for natural flea and tick remedies. After a lot of research, I am afraid of the treatments I have been getting from our vet through the years. They work, but my fear is the toxins that come with them. Does anyone out there have any suggestions for natural remedies that really work. Thanks and have a great day.
Avatar m tn There are some natural remedies such as inserting garlic, lemon juice and yogurt but generally putting anything into the vagina worries me as it can compound the problem. Question, can you call your mom and perhaps see a gyno under their insurance?? Just for second opinion?
Avatar f tn If you want to get extra fancy, you can score the garlic clove and put a drop of tea tree oil on it (This releases more of the garlic juice and helps the oil infuse the garlic). This can burn a little, but tea tree oil is one of the strongest antifungals out there and I find the burning quickly subsides and it burns much less in comparison to the burning itch of yeast infections. Hope these garlic tricks work out for you!
Avatar n tn Hot water, garlic (or ginger, works just as good) honey, and lemon is a quick home remedy.
